ParticipantPosted this in another thread, but it fits here too…
I just rewatched Manhattan and noticed a few bright green items in his apartment. The hallway outside and his window sill are painted green. His TV is, like, Kermit green and stands out like a beacon in the middle of the apartment. The beads on the dreamcatcher are green. At one point there’s a shelf behind Neal, and it’s all lit up in green. There’s a bright green packet of chips, (I think) on the coffee table, and a little footstool thingo that has a green top on it in that same shot too. And there’s a green plant out on the fire escape. Obviously green isn’t the only colour in there, but once I’d noticed the TV, which was very prominent, it drew my attention to all the green.

It would also kind of explain the forest green colors Neal is always wearing.

I think the writers made one crucial mistake there though…. If time is paralel… Then howcome we know the fairy tales… My reasoning was that because time was kinda blurry, some fairy tale creatures landed in the past and became story tellers. The Brothers Grimm, Hans Christian Anderson, Charles Perrault. So I do believe that that’s a missed opportunity if that’s true.
The SBers still could have jumped ahead when they came to our world, don’t think they’ve set any rule in place that would negate that possibility. If time ran parallel, then it wouldn’t work, because we’ve had the story of Snow White being woken by Prince Charming’s kiss in our world for centuries, but it would have only happened 30 odd years ago. So they must have jumped forward. I do hope that they have storylines in mind involving some famous fairytale writers, so we can see how the stories became known in our world.

And another thing. The bean was supposed to send them to a place without magic. Neverland is not without magic. No one ages for one, I call that pretty magical.
I’ve always held the view that when he went through the beanhole without a parent, he became an orphan, so he was sent to the land where Lost Boys go, instead of to the Land Without Magic as originally intended. The whole point of going to a Land Without Magic was so that Rumple would be stripped of his powers. Bae didn’t need that when he went through alone.

I’m reminded of the line in Tallahassee after Neal and Emma escaped from the store…Neal said something along the lines of “the little guy saved us” in reference to Emma faking giving birth with her fake pregnancy. Maybe that was a little foreshadowing of Henry being the one to actually bring the two back together enough that they realize they still in love with one another.
Awww, I like the sound of that. Good catch. 😀

ParticipantThere’s already another thread in here where we’re discussing this Canadian promo. Check it out for lots of reactions. 😉

ParticipantJust watched this promo for the frillionth time, and only noticed for the first time that when Cora is saying, “I’ll use that dagger to force the Dark One to kill anyone you like,” they cut to a shot of Regina with her sly little smirk and I heard her thinking, “Careful what you wish for mother.” I’m starting to almost feel like an EvilRegal, the way I’m holding out hope that Regina’s playing Cora to orchestrate her downfall.

ParticipantYep, they certainly made it sound like he’d been somewhere for a loooonnnng time, and it has to have been somewhere that prevented him from aging.
The Canadian promo for the next ep shows him telling Emma that he knows Hook and that our world wasn't the first place he went to after leaving his own. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j3N5nmELfmA&feature=player_embedded

ParticipantMaybe I’m giving Regina too much credit, but I’m hoping that maybe she’s playing Cora at her own game until such time as she can take her out and protect the Charming family.
It’ll definitely drive her crazy that her son is a blood relation of Rumplefreakingstiltskin though.

ParticipantThe Hook in that movie hadn’t been in love with Peter Pan’s mother though. Those emotions would influence our Hook’s judgement and actions.
