ParticipantThere’s so much spoilery goodness in this stuff, my brain just kinda melted. Gonna need a while to wrap my head around it all. 😆

ParticipantOf course they had to choose this ep in particular to start holding the sneak peeks hostage. 😈 Just had a look at youtube and it’s still not up there yet.

I guess no one has posted the sneak peeks yet. 😥
I did come across notes from someone who listened to a radio show that previewed “Manhattan” early. http://portalsofperception.tumblr.com/post/42897408775/just-listened-to-barbara-barnetts-radio-show
Oh my god this episode is just going to kill me I know. 😥
This ep is gonna be EPIC from beginning to end!

I think the shawl was not only protecting Rumple’s memories, but also his magic. Before he took it off, Emma said she wouldn’t let him forget. I think her magic is what protected his memories while he was not touching the shawl (unconsciously on her part). However, she did not think about protecting his magic (and may not have even if she’d thought about it). That was why he was so surprised when he wasn’t able to use his magic.
Hope I am stating this clearly, my brain’s kind of fuzzy right now (lots going on in RL).Makes sense to me. They released this scene as a sneak peek, and when I originally saw it, I thought that perhaps Emma making a point of touching the shawl and touching him right after he took it off was her thinking, “I dunno what this magic of mine does exactly, but let’s see if it helps if I touch stuff.” It did come right after Emma looked him dead in the eye and said she wouldn’t let him forget, after all.

I’m pretty sure it is a case of magic only exists in Storybrooke, not the rest of our world. He just was trying to will it to work- deep down he probably knew it wouldn’t. I don’t think he lost anything when he took off the shawl for a second. He just got woozy. He’ll have his powers again when he crosses back over the border.
But things that contain magic in SB retain them in our world, otherwise the shawl wouldn’t be working. Unless he doesn’t actually need it on him in our world, and he’s just being paranoid, because the only place it was ever being actively magical was right at that spot on the town line? They made a point of putting a blurry effect on him a couple of times right after he took it off though, so I think something did happen to him then. They could have just left it with his facial expressions and movements to convey that he was thrown off balance a bit, but they went to the trouble of adding a special effect. It sorta reminded me of the pulse that goes out when twoo wuv’s kiss breaks a curse.

So maybe Greg Mendel will be helping Tiny/Anton with growing the beans.
Ah, nicely spotted connection there! 🙂
I noticed that Greg’s hospital robe in Tiny was green. Dunno if that necessarily means anything, don’t recall what colour he was wearing in his previous appearance, or what colour we’ve seen other patients wearing in the past, but he was definitely in green this time, contrasting to Belle in yellow.
Even if the colours aren’t actually meant to mean anything, I’m totally gonna read into it and say that those are two colours strongly associated with Oz, (Emerald City and Yellow Brick Road), just because it fits in with my fave theory of who he is. 😛

* Jack herself was not a very interesting person, though that is due to there not being much shown about her. She was greedy and callous, but not much else goes to development with her, which is a shame given the built-up to her with some of the released pictures of her.
I’m guessing we’ll see more of her in at least one future ep. They didn’t drop the bomb about her having slayed the Jabberwock just for the helluvit. There’s a story there waiting to be told.

ParticipantI think she just wants ALL the powers from ALL the lands. They made a point of establishing that the humans had used the giant’s beans to plunder other lands, which I think is basically what Cora wants to do. I think that her lust for power is so overwhelming, that the only way to stop her will be to kill her. I’d like to see Regina do that, because it’d be a nice little parallel to how she killed her father. Back then, she killed a parent to doom everyone. Now, she’ll have to kill a parent to save everyone.

And, in the first flashback the Head Giant said it took a century of cultivating before they could harvest the beans. So, why does Cora want beans if it takes 100 yrs to grow??
She’s probably got some super booster fertiliser growth accelerator spell up her sleeve. 😉

ParticipantAt the bottom of the post in the CaptainSwan thread, there’s a link to the interview on blogtalk radio and a time stamp for that part of the interview.

Because the Jane Espenson interview on the Captain Swan page infuriates me – but I tried to be polite when asking for a link or to know where it was coming from. I’m infuriated because the interview seems to be faked and yet presented as complete fact:
You mean the transcript that’s been posted in the CaptainSwan thread? That’s a legit interview, there’s a link to the audio of it in the post, where you can hear Jane say what’s in the transcript. As someone who doesn’t really ship CaptainSwan, (though I do enjoy their flirtations), I took it as her just saying that there will indeed be more interaction between the characters. Obviously, shippers will read more into it. But either way, she definitely suggested to the shipper she was talking to that they’d like some stuff that was to come.
