Okay guys, this is a bit odd… i just thought about hook and his hand this morning, and this evening i just came across this page https://oncepodcast.com/the-outsider-full-discussion-and-theories-once-upon-a-time-podcast-074/ , and guess what… there is hook’s hand at rumple’s shop!!! there is still hope that hook can become killian again. i remember i saw a photo of hook in normal clothes at the set, but don’t know if it’s just colin on the way to work or hook as normal guy in SB…
This hand business intrigued me when I heard it in the podcast. Wonder if a centuries old hand is still a viable “transplant” option. I’d guess so, because it’s obviously under some sort of preservation spell or it wouldn’t still look fresh.
PS. Thanks for the reminder of that scorchingly hawt pic of Colin. 😉 I’d figured it was just Colin in his own clothes, not in character. If they do plan to give him his hand back at any point, I’d think it’d be too soon for them to do it yet.

Here’s another synopsis. Interesting twist on Jack from Jack and the Beanstalk.
“Tiny” – Kidnapped and brought to Storybrooke by Cora, the Giant (Jorge Garcia) unleashes his vengeance on the town when a case of mistaken identity leads him to try and settle an old score with David;
Didn’t K&H say in their last podcast that we’ll learn David’s real name in ep 13? I’m guessing this would be how. “Settle dude, the one you’ve got the grudge against was my twin brother, James, I’m *insert mystery name and the fans rejoice*”
So did Cora have the Giant stashed on the boat when they sailed into town?

I wonder how Emma justifies taking Henry with them. She could leave him with Charming and Snow.
That’s what I was wondering…maybe she doesn’t feel it’s safe with Cora and Hook wandering around Storybrooke. Orrr maybe Henry pulls a fast one and sneaks into her car or something. I personally would like the second scenario better because I’m also having a hard time coming up with a good reason (other than Cora) Emma would take him with her and Rumple.
If Cora’s been wandering around town impersonating the kid, (as the sneak peek for In The Name Of The Brother suggests), it may be a tactical move to take him outta town, that way she can’t impersonate him any more, so they’re disarming her, in a way.

ParticipantAs already mentioned in a couple of other threads, this is the interpretation that makes the most sense to me thus far…

There was a bit of a discussion in the Initial Reactions thread for The Outsider about the license plate on his car, and I just remembered this thread was here, and the info fits perfectly. Hopefully the other posters don’t mind me copying and pasting their thoughts in here. It was some cool stuff that shouldn’t get buried in the other thread, and I didn’t wanna take credit for other people’s input, so…

Ok…have to rethink my logic here and bet 2kfl 138 is a reference to Peter Pan…
I agree. One interpretation of 2KFL 138 as a vanity plate is “took flight”
Good thinking! There have also been theories that he could be the Wizard of Oz, who is another character who “took flight”. I’m more inclined to the Peter theory though, (even though part of me would still love Bae to be Peter).

After reading this, my first thought was, “It’s a shame that last digit is an 8 because the MGM movie The Wizard of Oz was released in 1939.” Then I remembered (and confirmed on Wikipedia) that MGM bought the rights to the story and began production in January of 1938 – “Took flight in 1-’38” : 2KFL 138
😮 Nice detective work there! I’m now officially seriously considering the Wizard theory for him. He doesn’t really strike me as being old enough, but I guess we don’t know how time works in Oz yet and/or if/when the Wizard came back to our world.
Edited to add that I was just poking around on wikipedia to see if there was a Pennsylvania connection to Wizard of Oz somehow, considering that’s the state that was on the plate. L Frank Baum, author of Wizard of Oz, his father’s name was Benjamin:
Benjamin Baum was a wealthy German American businessman, originally a barrel maker, who had made his fortune in the oil fields of Pennsylvania.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/L._Frank_Baum#Baum.27s_childhood_and_early_life
So unless and until someone can twist that license plate to relate to something else, I’m putting my money on Ethan’s character being someone Oz related, if not the Wizard himself.

ParticipantIf they decide to have Pocahontas on the show, I would assume that she’ll be connected to the Native Americans that lived in Neverland, (and I’d also assume that Neverland’s Mermaid Lagoon will be associated with Ariel and Co). I’d say we’ll definitely get Tiger Lily whenever they show us Neverland, because she’s already an established character in the Peter Pan story.
As for Pocahontas, who knows how they’ll handle that one, because she was actually a real person. There’s no question as to whether or not she was real, or the thing of legend. There’s both fact and fiction about her, (there’s no historical evidence to suggest she had an intimate relationship with John Smith, though their story was embellished by many for the sake of a romance), so it’s sort of a fine line they’d be treading if they wanted to write her into this group of characters on the show who have traditionally been portrayed and accepted as being fictional.
They could potentially mash up Tiger Lily and Pocahontas into being one character, and maybe even have Hook stand in for John Smith.

ParticipantThe guy who plays Mo is actually Canadian. Though he did live here in my hometown in Australia for a couple of years at one point. I googled him after Skin Deep, expecting him to be a genuine Aussie, because his accent was so good, and usually fake Aussie accents are embarrassingly baaaaaad. So kudos to him for getting it right. 😆

Pretty sure K&H confirmed in an interview, or maybe it was their podcast, that the hat Emma made did NOT work. I suppose that doesn’t necessarily mean that it couldn’t be made to work, but as it stands right now, the hat Emma made does nothing, and who knows if it’ll ever be brought up again.
I tried looking for this and couldn’t find it 🙁
I’m wanting to say it was in their podcast, possibly at the end of an ep where they take questions from viewers. Not sure which ep it would have been in though, but will see if I can hunt it down.
@Marilou wrote:
it does not really matter what K&H said in interviews or in podcast. as long as it has not aired, they could change their mind.
True. But then, I’ve always been in the camp that didn’t think there was really any indication in the ep of the hat having worked, even though others thought there was, so having them confirm it just made sense to me.

ParticipantMy hope with this Belle situation is that they don’t fix her too quickly. They don’t need to drag it out forever either, but I’d prefer to not have it solved in the next ep, the way Archie’s disappearance was. I’d like this to be an opportunity for Rumple to take a big step in improving himself in order to win Belle back somehow. I’d also like a few eps to get to see Belle’s SB alternate persona. So no quick fixes, pretty please.

Doubt even the Blue Fairy knows how to. Don’t remember the Blue Fairy saying, that she would need her wand to help Sneezy. Only remember the dwarfs telling Sneezy / Clark, that they are going to mine for fairy dust to get back what he lost, his memory. Since then there was no more talk about how to get Sneezy’s memory back. And regaining the memory wasn’t high on the to-do-list (but don’t remember all lines of all episodes by heart yet 😉 so maybe someone can tell when she said it?)
I think the only time she mentioned her wand was in Broken…
Mother Superior: Magic. It’s here. I can feel it.
Henry: Magic? In Storybrooke? You’re the Blue Fairy. Do something magical.
Mother Superior: It’s not quite that simple, Henry. No wand, no fairy dust… Matters are complicated, now.
(There are transcripts of all the eps at http://ouattranscripts.wordpress.com/index/ which come in very handy. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve used that site to check who said what to who and when.)That wasn’t said specifically in relation to curing Sneezy though. Regarding that…
Leroy: Don’t worry, brother. You’ve lost something. It’s going to take fairy dust to get it back. So, we’re going to do what we do best. Come on, boys. It’s off to work we go.
I don’t think they knew specifically how the fairy dust would work to bring his memory back, but it was the best option they had, so they went mining for diamonds because it’s all they knew to do to hopefully help the situation.

ParticipantNice catch! It may not necessarily, specifically point to Wonderland though, it could have been a hint that Neal was Bae, a child who travelled between a magical land and our world, just like Alice did.
Carolanne, I’ll have to keep an eye out for that pirate symbol next time I watch. This kinda detail stuff is so fun to find, like a treasure hunt.
