Hmm, good point. But aren’t the Red Queen and the Queen of Hearts the same? Or am I remembering that wrong?
They’re two different characters in the books.

The fact that people often assume they’re the same is a reason why I think they could easily be mashed up for the show, like they were in Tim Burton’s movie. Saves confusion of, “Why are there two QoH on the show?” type stuff.@@MidgeMarly wrote:
ETA – Just realized “The Miller’s Daughter” episode is after this one. Wonder if the timing coincides with her having magic in “The Queen is Dead”?
And it was said that the ep with Snow’s mother is gonna be a two parter, so it must tie into Cora’s story somehow.

ParticipantWhen I see the name Xavier, I instantly think of the Professor from X-Men. But I doubt Henry’s dad was a telepathic mutant, so nevermind. 😛

It was really quite interesting to see Emma use magic knowingly for the first time. I also like your ideas of the price being Henry. What if she looses him to magic? Henry was very interested in the whole matter when Regina prepared the sleeping curse in “Into the Deep”, now with his mothers both tampering around with the magical arts, he could easily become “addicted” to it too.
Yeah, I think that Henry being “lost” to magic (as Emma and Regina’s “price”) is more likely than them killing him off. They can’t give him another fake out death, and the show is too family friendly to give a child a real death, (I know we’ve heard of children dying on the show, but this is a kid we actually know and would see die, and that may be a bit morbid for Disney).
There was a thread on here recently discussing what could happen to Henry if he tried magic. I’m starting to like the idea of him giving it a go, because he’s seen his mothers doing it, and having it go terribly wrong and corrupt him. If Regina slides back into using, and back into being evil, she’ll need a major reality check if she’s ever gonna turn her life around for real. If Henry begins going down the same path she did, that could be her reality check to turn her own life around, so that she can save him. They’ve already set up the theme of Regina realising she had become her mother, so they could continue that theme if Henry starts turning bad like she did.

More filming shots of the fight scene between Rumpel and Hook. Seriously, not sure who to root for here.
Methinks I’m gonna be TeamHook in this particular fight. Much as I love my boy Rumple, I don’t love seeing my boy Hook being beaten like that.
Belle’s holding what looks to be Bae’s cloak. If Hook’s baiting Gold about Bae, I’m going to have to cheer TeamGold.
That’s a fair point, but I’m guessing Hook would shut up pretty quickly once the CaneOfPain is unleashed on him, and I’m guessing Rumple will keep on beating him a few extra times while Belle begs him to stop.

I thought that too but I’m hoping that they actually won’t merge the two Queens together, they are so different!
Guess they could have Cora kill the Red Queen when she arrives in Wonderland, and then assume her throne. I just think that for the purposes of the show, which is a visual medium, it just muddies the waters if there are two queens running around Wonderland dressed in red at the same time. Similar to how it’s unnecessary for them to have a separate Snow White and Rose Red, because our Snow and Red are essentially sisters, so having the other two as well would just confuse matters. Mashing characters up to condense stories works in this particular medium.

ParticipantGuess this rules out Cora having ever been married to George, huh. Bummer, I was kinda digging that theory.
Feels like we’ve been waiting for forever for this story, ever since people wondered if Regina Mills would be involved in the story of Rumple and the miller’s daughter, which was pretty much from day one of the show. Bring it, already!! 😆

ParticipantFour sneak peeks already?! And here I thought Christmas was meant to be over. 😉
You know that Hook is gonna be the one to fill in the blanks in Rumple’s story. I get that he didn’t wanna tell his girlfriend that he killed his wife with his bare hands, coz then she may finally admit that yeah, actually, maybe he IS a monster after all, but, dude, take the chance and tell her and trust that she loves you enough to not disown you for it, coz it’ll just be worse when she finds out you lied by omission. Belle’s going to kill the demon? Get it girl! 😀 I couldn’t hear the name of the demon though; does anyone know what’s called? Is it even a demon or is it just a monster or large animal?
It was mentioned in the ep synopsis:
Belle meets Mulan as the two set out to slay a fearsome beast called the Yaoguai, who has been ravaging the land.

I have a feeling that he is going to be attempting to use some of Emma’s magic for his own use. He was a bit eager for her to use magic, and seemed almost insistent that she be the one to use the dreamcatcher.
Saw an article yesterday where K&H confirmed what I’d suspected, that Rumple got her to use magic to test her powers, so he could get a sense of how he can use her. Dude always has an ulterior motive when he “helps” someone.
http://www.tvguide.com/News/Once-Upon-Time-Spoilers-Kitsis-Horowitz-1058535.aspxIt seems like Emma is going to continue to discover her magical abilities and it looks like Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) is very interested in helping her.
Horowitz: We’re going to see that the magic within Emma becomes something that’s really important to her on her journey of self-discovery this season. And it’s definitely something that interests Rumple.
Kitsis: I think there’s something about Mr. Gold, which is he’s never one to miss an opportunity. He looked at Emma like he looked at Regina before she knew how to harness her magic. Was that on purpose?
Kitsis: Yes. His wheels were spinning there. He realized that Emma has magic at the end of Episode 9 and he tests her in this episode. When it holds true, I think he thinks, “Ahhh!” It’s like looking at someone with whole new eyes.Phee
