he said that Bae had “crossed the barriers of time and space”.
Yep, we dunno when on our real world timeline he arrived, so he could be pretty much any age…or he could have even grown old and died long ago.
In my take on the Peter Pan theory, he’d been visiting our world from Neverland for however long, but spending most of his time in Neverland, preventing him from ageing. Then he was in our world when the curse hit, which prevented him from going back to Neverland. That would mean that he got stuck in our world and began ageing at the same time that all the other characters came to our world.
Even without taking the Peter Pan theory into consideration though, he still could have arrived at the same time everyone else did if Rumple designed the curse to make it so.

ParticipantThanks for the links. π The one of Ginny rocking out with the pencils all stuck in her hair is too cute!

ParticipantI think that the room Aurora and Henry are in is a very specific part of this netherworld, but that’s not to say that it’s the only part of the netherworld, and it wouldn’t surprise me if souls trapped by the wraith are in a similar location. The room of fire has no doors though, so I’m not sure how they’d get to another part of the netherworld in order to save them. I’d guess you’d have to enter wraith-ville by a different way.

A normal bean would have rotted away. This one is stiff around. Why show the bean if its no longer useful in someway. In writing this is called “Chekhov’s Gun”. If you show a gun early on in the story, it will more than likely be used later. Otherwise, why show it?
It wouldn’t surprise me in the least if that bean comes back into play, and now you’ve got me wondering how that could happen. Hook didn’t seem to be interested in getting it, so I’m guessing it’s not part of Cora’s current portal plans. If so, and he leaves the Giant’s place without taking the bean, it’d have to be brought back into play in some other way.
Just had an idea that’s based on something that’s been discussed in the spoilers section, though it’s a theory that’s largely just speculation, so it’s not strictly a spoiler, but I’ll still put it in spoiler tags, just to be safe…
This idea ties in with the impostor theory, where Hook and Cora get back to SB first. I'm assuming that whatever Cora plans to use as a portal, she plans to use the sparkly dirt – which is sparkly because Emma touched the wardrobe – to activate the portal. What if there's some mad race to get to this portal, and Snow and Emma don't get there in time, but they see enough to figure out about the sparkly dirt. Then Emma could be all, “Well the hat wasn't working until I touched Regina, so, uh,” and then they may figure out that Emma has this ability. Maybe then they'll go back to the Beanstalk so Emma can grab hold of the bean and try to bring it back to life.
This next bit IS actually spoilery, so if you're a spoilerphobe who braved the first part, look away…
It's been said that Jorge's been notified that he'll be needed again, and this would be a way they could work him into another ep in the not too distant future.

Question: How do you think Emma will react when she finds out that Mr. Gold has a son.
Jane’s response: I don’t think she will be gut-shot by him having a son. Other revelations, however, will floor her!
I remember a couple of us discussing over the summer the possibility that Rumple’s favor from Emma may be her tracking down Baelfire. Since we now know he cannot leave town – a lot of these answers have me thinking about that again..
Yeah, that has me thinking. As of now, the only other revelation would be Belle, but none of the other characters were particularly “floored” by that so far. Of course, it could be anything. The writers can always introduce something new.
Did we get confirmation that we’d find out what happened to Baelfire this season?
For something to “floor” her, you’d think it’d have to have some personal impact on her. A revelation to do with Rumple that would effect Emma on such a level…Neal being Bae would certainly fit. If his favour is asking her to go find his son, and when she finds him, he turns out to be her long lost love, that revelation would mess with her head good and proper.
I’m pretty sure they said they’d address what happened to Bae this season, but buggered if I can remember where or when I saw them say it.

ParticipantI started out thinking that there had to be some major connection between Neal and Jefferson because of that sign screaming HATTERS. Now though, I’m thinking it may have just been a nod to the fact that both Neal and Jefferson knew the truth about the curse.

I hear a lot of theories about how people from the Enchanted Forest are/could be characters from OZ. If everyone doubled as a person from OZ then Oz would be empty to begin with. I think all the OZ reference are nods that it’s coming but I think it will have it’s own people.
Agreed. I’ve no doubt that Oz is coming, and those characters will be completely new to us.
I think Jefferson was stuck in Storybrooke during the original curse.
Indeed he was, to quote the man himself: “Because, for the last twenty-eight years, Iβve been stuck in this house. Day after day, always the same.”

ParticipantYeah, and especially given that they have a shot where the arm of a dead body that’s on the ground is suddenly thrust into the air and into the shot, makes me think that this is gonna be their little homage to zombie movies, (it’s reminiscent of that classic zombie scene where an arm suddenly comes up out of a grave), which I’m sure K&H consider to be good fun. They may not be your standard, decayed, brain eating zombies, but for all intents and purposes, they’re the Onciverse version of zombies.

Well it seems Julian Morris is headed back to the set, so safe to say we’ll be getting more development for Aurora. Maybe the timing would work for #13 to be the ep where Aurora saves Phillip, and they could parallel that with flashbacks of her mother’s story?
Does whatshername who plays Maleficent have Twitter? We need to start stalking her in case she heads back to Vancouver one day soon. π

ParticipantMaybe Hook will end up in Wonderland accidentally? Maybe he’s found out he’s gotta go to a different world to find Rumple, and when he’s trying various portals and realms, trying to find the right one, he ends up in Wonderland. He and his men, (or maybe only Smee will be travelling with him), are taken prisoner by QoH(Cora). Knowing that they can realm jump, she orders Hook to go and kidnap Henry Sr, saying that only when he returns will she release his men. Hook completes the task, so QoH decides he’ll be a worthy ally in the future. Perhaps?
As for how the curse effected all the realms, I’ve had this idea for a while that maybe it didn’t effect the realms themselves, but rather the people, and it only effected FTL natives. That could explain why Jefferson, Cora, and Hook are all involved, even though they were (likely) in different lands when the curse hit. Regina was only concerned with punishing the people of FTL, she had no beef with people in other lands. So maybe any FTL natives who were away from home got sucked back in by the curse. Perhaps?
