ok but if Cora doesn't absolutely need the compass and wanted to get just get rid of Hook ( for failing to fool them) and Emma it would make sense for Mulan to chop down the beanstalk
I think she does really need that compass though, because she told Hook that the sparkly dirt wasn't gonna be enough to get them to SB, and we know she's gonna end up on his boat, and boats are steered by reading bearings on a compass.

I think she does hate Rumple more than everyone else. Remember she kidnapped Belle and locked her up and told Rumple that she’d died?
Good point. I shoulda considered that when I was thinking out my previous post. It’s only the most hateful thing she’s ever done to him, so you can see how it easily slipped my mind. 😕 😆 Taking that into consideration, I’m completely on board with her having found out that he set up this scenario and there was never any intention for Daniel to be brought back. Stealing the girl Rumple is falling for would be the perfect revenge in that case.
Plus, she may have thought that she was getting her way by convincing Rumple to help her cast the curse, but from what I gather so far, getting Regina to cast the curse to take them all to Storybrooke was Rumple’s goal all along.
Most definitely. Regina thought that cursing everyone including Rumple would be her ultimate revenge on him. She had no idea he’d been manipulating her for half her life just to get her to cast said curse, so she was playing right into his hands.

I really don’t think Whale is that important that they would make him two characters. I think all the talk of the ruby slippers and Jeffersn’s “off we shall go to see him” were (not so subtle) misdirection that will be revisited later.
The more I think about it, the less I think he’ll also be Wizard of Oz, and the more I think that dialogue was just misdirection…but possibly not done randomly…
If Jefferson has just been to Oz, and brought Victor back from there, it could be because Victor was there looking for the Wizard who is rumoured to give hearts to people, (and tinmen). Jefferson could have already been working for Victor, having taken him to Oz to find the Wizard. Then Rumple got wind of that job and also employed Jefferson, proposing the 3 way deal where Jefferson would bring Victor back to FTL and they’d all end up getting what they wanted.

I really like the Jekyll/Hyde theory. Frankenstein could have accidentally poisoned his brother, killing him. So he dedicates his life to finding a way to bring him back, only when he does, he’s not quite the same. We saw that Daniel still had parts of him remaining, and then he was also a monster. So the brother could be Jekyll while the Frankenstein’s Monster part of him is Hyde.
Loving this theory. Having Dr Frankenstein and Dr Jekyll being brothers, then Victor’s experiments turning his brother into Mr Hyde would be a perfect fit. Maybe the two doctors were working on some sort of research together, and that’s what led to one of them dying.

ParticipantI know they like reinventing the characters for this show, but I feel like making Mulan one of the bad guys would compromise the integrity of the original Mulan too much, basically making her a polar opposite, so I dunno that they’d go there.
In the promo for next week, It looks like she's ready to chop down the beanstalk, leaving Emma and Hook stranded up there. If she's working for Cora, and Cora needs the compass they went to get, it'd make no sense for Mulan to be chopping down that beanstalk.

Whale’s World (hehe)
Party time, excelleeeeennnnt, (you know he sang that right after he brought his brother back from the dead :P).
They made a comment in the podcast how red was the only colour we saw in his otherwise black and white world. That’d be enough to explain his attraction to Red for me, (though indeed, the booty shorts are probably explanation enough ;)), because we’ve now seen that the one thing he’d been obsessed with finding to make his experiment complete, was the perfect, glowing, red heart.

ParticipantI just don’t really see it as a contradiction. *shrug* All I see in this situation is Snow being completely lost for any other option, so she’s clinging to faint hope that maybe something can be done with the wardrobe because it’s the only thing she knows of that’s been a portal between those two worlds before. If I were in her position, I’d have thought the same way, get the thing that was the portal and hope against hope that you can make it work somehow. Was a better plan than just sitting on their arses or wandering aimlessly hoping to stumble on a working portal by chance.
We don’t know whether or not anyone in FTL history attempted to recharge magic. Maybe they did, and failed. But I don’t think that needed to be shown. We can just assume it wasn’t possible, because if it was, Blue would have been going around recharging stuff left, right and centre, instead of being bummed about having a limited resource of magic left in the world.
Also, if that was possible in the past, well, we’d have no show. So I’m happy to just accept that it wasn’t ever a viable option in the past, and that in the present day, Snow was merely grasping at straws to find a way back to SB.

ParticipantThey’ve updated the tatt design since we first saw it. It’s lost a petal. 😉
I kinda hope they have matching tatts, though a dainty little flower would be an odd tatt for a guy to get, so probably not. If they are using the Scarlet Pimpernel as inspiration here, I’d like to see him with a tatt of the sword that goes through the flower.

ParticipantHook’s gettin’ sassy with her. Cheeky devil. 😉
