What if Cora does the heart trick on Regina? Regina’s trying to change to make herself a better person for Henry but if Cora takes her heart, Regina may be forced to do things that Henry may believe prove she hasn’t changed at all.

This would be fabulous! Not for Regina of course, or for Henry, but it’d be a cool storyline as part of Regina’s road to redemption.

Again, these are just crazy theories. So don’t think I am insane….

If you can’t share insane theories here, then where can you. ๐Ÿ˜† I’m really liking your Cupid idea. Would make sense that a pendant with someone completely associated with love on it would be able to predict even as yet un-conceived babies.

I was wanting to yell, “YES!” at the end of pretty much every sentence in that blurb. ๐Ÿ˜†

Sorry for the confusion Nonnie…I don’t think Morraine is actually Wendy…just that she could be a nod to Wendy thus giving us a clue to Baelfire’s identity as Peter Pan. ๐Ÿ™‚

Yes, I’ve wondered the same thing. That’s interesting that there’s a similarity between her name and Wendy’s. Love all the other little Pan connections you picked up too. You’ve become a master at finding the connections between the Mystery Man and these theories! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Regarding the Wendy thing, assuming that Bae does end up being Pan, perhaps we could get a flashback ep for him at some point that shows him coming and going from our world, and finding his actual Wendy, (and also maybe her brothers), maybe she was someone who reminded him of Morraine. The Darling kids could exist at any point on the timeline from 300-odd years ago when Bae left FTL. (I’m ruling out a young Emma being the actual Wendy, because the real world timeline wouldn’t fit for the story to have made it to our world if she filled the role of Wendy.)

Thanks for that confirmation. “EPIC scene”, huh? Eeeeeeek! If she was seen on set filming, it must be exterior stuff…in SB?

Her other tweets mention meeting Colin, (lucky girl), so we’re definitely getting Hook in this ep too.

But he wasn’t spinning gold at the end…it was wool and it wasn’t turning into gold. Unless they expected us to think that, but as a knitter, I know what wool looks like and that was wool.

It was hard to tell coz of the quality of the clip, but I thought at the end where they have the closeup of him cutting it, it looked like he’d been making gold thread.

I’m curious do why Mr.Gold/ Rumple is spinning in Skin Deep we found out he spins to forget so I’m curious if he wants to forget something he has done to someone maybe Belle’s father and is scared Belle will find more of a beast and find it harder to forgive him that is why Belle look so confused at the end of the clip because she knows something is wrong.

YES, I wondered the same thing! Maybe he’s just innocently spinning to forget, and she’ll assume he’s doing it for more sinister reasons, and that’ll cause a conflict?

I’ve thought a lot about this theory and I have some problems with it. Knowing Cora’s personality now, I don’t see why she would sacrifice power and wealth being with King George would provide. Unless she was naive and in love with someone else who wasn’t so rich and powerful (Henry Sr.) but later came to regret choosing Henry once she realized how hard a life she has as a poor, married woman.

We know that she’d met Rumple and gained power before meeting Henry. Perhaps while she was with King George, her powers and ego grew to a point where she could no longer stand being the obedient wife of a king, having to bow to his wishes. If she wanted to be the one in charge in the relationship, it’d make sense that she left and found someone humble like Henry, who she could dominate over.

When “The Return” aired, everyone (not just the fans, Rumple too) assumed that Bae had gone down the hole to our world without magic, but I wasn’t convinced. The point of that exercise, where Blue gave him the bean, was to take Rumple to a world where his magic would be void. “You just use it wisely, and follow wherever it leads you.” To me, that said that the bean would open up a portal to whatever place you needed to go to. If Rumple went through the hole, it’d send them to a land without magic. When Bae went through alone, his needs were different. He was now an orphan, a “lost boy”, and would being thrust into a strange world without magic really have been what he needed? I’d have thought that Neverland would have been a more fitting place for him.

If he went to Neverland, and became Peter Pan, that means that he also found a way to get between there and our world at some point. If he eventually needed to end up in our world permanently, that’d be a good way to ease him into it, if he could come visit now and then. Much less of a shock to the system than what Pinocchio had to adapt to.

Ever since Emma told the story about Henry’s dad liking pumpkin pie, and also suggesting he wasn’t a nice guy, I’ve wondered if that was a hint that his name would be Peter, as in the pumpkin eater. Even if that’s not what his actual name ends up being, it could still have been a hint to his identity as the name connects to Peter Pan.

Bae being Henry’s dad is obviously one of the most popular theories in the fandom, and it’ll be a big shocker if he doesn’t turn out to be. I’d love it if Henry’s father was Peter Pan though, just because I love the idea that the boy who famously couldn’t grow up, ended up fathering a child who was the only kid in his town who COULD grow up. So that makes me hope even more that Bae will end up being both Henry’s father and Peter Pan.

Kitsis and Horowitz have always said that Peter Pan is one of their fave stories. This makes me think that Peter will have to be someone of significance. They’re now introducing Hook, and we know that they’re going to address the issue of Henry’s father this season too. With everything else going on right now, it’d just confuse matters if they introduced yet another major character in Peter Pan, if he was someone completely new. Making him Bae would seem to fit from a storytelling structure standpoint. They could delve into Hook’s history in Neverland, and tie it to present day SB if this mystery man who’s coming to town covers all the bases of being Bae, Peter Pan, and Henry’s father. For a while I wondered if it’d be overkill to make him be so many people, (and also potentially Jack as well), but the more I think about it, the more I think it’d weave the several storylines together perfectly.

I also wonder what they’ll do for Tinkerbelle? Maybe she’d be sent by the Blue Fairy to help Bae learn the ropes or something? What are your thoughts on that?

Love that idea! Dunno how technically spoilery it is because it’s just something that was hinted at but Kitsis and Horowitz did recently suggest that a character like Tinkerbelle would surely have a story worth telling, so safe to say we're gonna get that story.

Wow! Talk about dedication to the character!

I finally got the DVD yesterday. Have only watched two things so far, the pilot with the commentary and Skin Deep with the commentary. Hearing Robert talk about his thought process of playing Rumple was a real treat. The man is a master and makes the character so rich and textured and wonderful. So glad that they wrote the role for him and he took it on.

I wonder if Jefferson and Rumpel are involved in helping Charming communicate across worlds with Snow. There is a picture of Rumpel holding an orb in his hand in the promotional pictures for 2×5, and then handing it to Jefferson. The orb reminds me of the palantรญr or “seeing stone” that Pippin finds at Isengard in Lord of the Rings. The wizard Saruman used the seeing stone to communicate with the dark lord, Sauron, but was ultimately corrupted by. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palant%C3%ADr

If Rumpel or Jefferson has the orb in FTL, I wonder if Charming will ask for help and use the crystal ball to communicate with Snow somehow. Jefferson is a portal jumper, so maybe he used the orb to communicate with people in other realms (like Dr. Whale).

Here is Rumpel with what appears to be a magical orb in 2×5.

Hmmm, interesting! Jefferson doesn’t appear to have it in SB, but you’d think something like that would have been in Mr Gold’s shop. Maybe Snow finds another one in FTL and sends out an SOS call and the one in SB lights up.
