Hook might not even be bad.
The casting call doesn’t exactly suggest he’s gonna be sweetness and light.
“A handsome, fearsome and confident pirate ship captain, Hook relishes every challenge and never backs down from a fight, whether the reward is power, riches, or women. He possesses the meticulous style and old-school manners of a proper gentleman, but beneath that veneer lies a vindictive enemy who will not rest until all his enemies have been defeatedโฆ and humiliated.”@PriceofMagic wrote:
Maybe Belle is only attempted kidnapped rather than actual kidnapped. I say this only because of the speculation that Belle is mugged. Generally muggers don’t try and take their victims with them so if Belle was left behind after being grabbed, which may have lead to the speculation she was mugged, then it could imply that the kidnapping was disturbed and Smee ran off.
Yeah, I’m wondering that too. They’ve only just had Belle and Rumple reunite, so would they really risk the wrath of the Rumbelle fans by having her kidnapped again so soon? Plus, they’ve already had them separated in that exact way, because someone was holding her hostage, so it’d be kinda boring to go there again. Would be more interesting if maybe Hook wants to see Belle, and she’s not allowed to tell Rumple, so she has to sneak off somehow without him finding out, and the “mugging” is Smee delivering the summons.
I’m interested in seeing the conversation between Rumple and Maurice considering that Rumple beat the crap out of him.
Maurice: You beat me up!
Rumple: Yeah…….sorry about that. Let’s work together for a currently unknown purpose.
Maurice. Okay.๐ Moe might just thank his lucky stars he survived the beating, now that he knows exactly who the assailant was, so he’ll agree to work together just to avoid round 2.

ParticipantEddy: And we can tease that rather quickly in the first batch of episodes youโll see how Rumpel met Regina โ or actually, how Regina met Rumpelโฆ
Eeeeeek, can’t wait! ๐

ParticipantThey don’t all know that Rumple is the one who created the curse, do they? They think it was all Regina’s doing, right? Maybe that ignorance is why Charming seems to be working with Rumple, because even though he’s a bad guy, he believes their current predicament is thanks to Regina? But BF likely knows, and you’d think she’d have told them, right? Unless she’s chosen not to for now, for whatever reason? Maybe because they need Rumple on their side to get Emma and Snow back? How many question marks can a person use in one paragraph?
I’ve seen speculation ages ago where people said it’d be very fitting if Belle was the one to re-open the library.

ParticipantEli Gold? Where’d they get that from? Brain fart by the person writing the article, or legit secret information leak?
PS. Google sez Eli Gold is a character on The Good Wife, so I’d be surprised if they used the same name on Once.
PPS. Though googling the name Eli, I started reading about the Biblical Eli, the Jewish high priest who blessed a woman, who then had a child, who was sent back to Eli to raise when he was still a baby. The child, (Samuel), grew up to become a prophet. Powerful guy who raised the son of a woman he knew, and the son ends up being someone significant and powerful in his own right? Yeah, I can sort of see a parallel to Rumple and Bae there, so if they were looking for a Biblical name for Mr Gold, Eli might have stuck out to them as a good choice. The most important piece of evidence to support this argument is that in the illustration of young Samuel on his wiki page he totally has Bae’s hair. Case closed. ๐ ๐

I just love the title. I’m guessing “The Crocodile” is symbolic of someone. It could be Captain Hook, but right now I would guess it fits Rumple because he’s old, dangerous, and was scaly at one time.
LOL He was kinda scaly looking. With scary teeth too. And eyes that look more animal than human. I just googled to try and find a good pic showing his teeth and eyes, and this was one of the first shots that popped up…the finest of reptilian inspired fashion…hmmm…

Maybe Rumple has spent some time in Neverland, following Hook around for a while, trying to kill him, and because of his appearance, people nicknamed him Crocodile. When the story was told in our world, it sorta got lost in translation, and us silly folk thought they meant an actual crocodile, but really, it was just Rumple, (they made him the Beast and a fairy godmother, so it’s not that farfetched). ๐@hjbau wrote:
Doesn’t the Crocodile eat hook?
It’s implied at the end of the original story, but Hook didn’t die in the Disney incarnation, the Crocodile just chased after him, and Hook was back and still alive for Return To Neverland.

ParticipantTime travel can be done well, and can also be done very badly. I think that as long as they’ve been sent somewhere relevant, and that what they’re doing there, and their absence from SB, are things that will have an impact on the overall story, a bit of time travel is fine by me, and I don’t think a few eps is overkill. If they were just doing it to try and be clever, but it served no real purpose, that would be annoying, but I doubt that’s what they’re doing, (if there’s actually time travel involved at all).

I keep coming back to the idea that MRJ will be Jack from Jack and the Beanstalk. It’s very odd that the casting call for Jack has gone out, but we’ve yet to hear mention of an actor being cast for his role. It was just shortly after the casting call for Jack went out that we heard mention of MRJ joining OUaT, but the only description given to him was a “mysterious new character.” It seems like MRJ and Jack could easily be one-in-the-same.
I suspect that Jack will be Bae, so whoever got the gig from that casting call, be it MRJ or someone else, it’d make sense that they’d be keeping his identity under wraps.
I saw this theory on tumblr that makes a further compelling point. Remember that giant hole in the ground on the SB film set? It could be where a magic beanstalk sprouted up when magic came to town. The fairy tale has been confirmed to appear in Season 2 so it would make sense for the beanstalk to feature, especially with magic having returned to Storybrooke. The stalk itself would be CGI, but they physically made this hole.
The ground has been pushed UP not DOWN, so that means something has come out of the ground, therefore it could be the beanstalk growing.

It could definitely be where a beanstalk grew up through the road. It could also have been a blast of energy from below, possibly opening up a vortex. These were the scenes where Emma and Snow were hanging out in the street weren’t they? So before they vanished to wherever? Weren’t there some other places where the road was ripped up too? Maybe other places where it had tried to come through, before it found the sweet spot to blast the big hole. I’m imagining a bunch of little blasts here and there, then suddenly this big blast goes up, throwing debris everywhere, knocking down power poles, making holes in signs, and the hole opens up right next to where Emma’s standing, and she gets knocked over and starts to get sucked in, and Snow grabs her hand, and in contrast to Bae and Rumple, Snow refuses to let go of her kid’s hand, and they both end up getting sucked in.
That being said, I’m probably wrong and it’ll totally be the beanstalk. ๐

ParticipantI’m not thinking he was a “love” interest exactly. I’m just saying that Regina led a lonely life after losing Daniel, and the girl had needs, and obviously Jefferson used to be in her elite social circle, and was an attractive and charismatic guy, so they hung out together on occasion, so to speak. ๐

Yeah. His sword, his hat, and his hook. That was my thought. They are really overdoing this hook promotion for someone that will probably be a minor character. Is he even reoccurring?
The curved blade of the sword seemed Asian to me, and the hat looks like a woman's bonnet to me, not a pirate hat. Maybe I'm just looking at it from the wrong angle, because it's certainly the right colour to be DisneyHook's hat…but I can't un-see that bonnet now.

The ABC drama has tapped the Irish thesp to join the Season 2 cast in the potentially recurring role of Captain Hook, TVLine has confirmed.Considering that Adam and Eddy have said Peter Pan is a fave story of theirs, I doubt they'd introduce major characters from that story and not give them significant roles.

I’m so skeeved out anytime anyone suggests Jefferson and Regina are related. I felt clear feelings that they’d had a relationship that involved a crush or romance or just friends with benefits type thing going on.
Former FWB is the feeling I get too. Jefferson probably called it off when he met Grace’s mother. So thereafter, if Regina wanted a boytoy, she’d lock his heart in a box so he couldn’t dump her for someone else like Jefferson did.
I also think it doesn’t fit Regina’s back story for her to have any siblings. For example it probably would have been easier for Cora to advance a son into a powerful position and all consuming obsession with one child generally makes more sense if that is your only child.
Excellent point!
I also don’t think Regina was ever trying to escape Leopold. By the time she married the guy, she was going to use him and his power influence to get what she wanted out of life and get her revenge on Snow White. Being a runaway/shamed/exiled queen was probably never her style. Much better to kill the guy and remain in power.
That look in her eyes at the end of Stable Boy was very “GAME ON” to me, so I can’t really see her trying to run away. She wanted revenge, on both Snow, and Cora. Also, I can’t really see her wanting to leave the land where her beloved Daniel was buried. She’d want to be able to visit his grave and the places where she had memories of him.

The Emma poster in particular is awesome! Girlfriend even has her hair tied back, so you know she means business.
๐ I love how you get ponytail = serious business.
Well she hardly has the time to perfectly feather her hair any more each morning. She’s gotta get that stuff tied back, out of the way, so she can get to the business of saving the kingdom and whatnot.
That last poster is potentially spoilerish, (though the stuff it’s potentially spoilerish about has been pretty well publicised, so I’m not sure if it’s still a secret from many people).
Curved sword for Mulan. Hook for Hook. Is that a bonnet with a feather in it? How does that relate to Aurora? Assuming it's meant to relate to her, and not another character. -
