I actually really the idea of Baelfire being Henry’s father. To me, the inspiration for the curse meeting and falling in love with the person who was destined to break the curse makes total sense. They’re both intimately conencted the curse, they’re both from Fairytale land, they’re both parentless, and they both probably ended up in foster care. They already have a ton in common. The groundwork is already there.
They could still be destined for each other without Bae being the baby daddy. But even if Bae does end up being the baby daddy, though it’s not my fave theory, I can still live with it, because I agree that the characters having an intimate connection would be believable, given what we know about each of them.

This has me crying a bit: poor Gepetto! 😥 Things seem to be going in the direction that August is still a wooden: would Gepetto’s kiss save him?
Even if he’s still wooden and lying in that bed during the events of episode 1, with magic back, I’m guessing BF could bring him back to life, like she did before. Can’t wait for the scene where Geppetto discovers that the guy who has been helping him in his workshop is actually his son.
There seem to be a couple shots of ‘play fighting’ between Whale and Henry: just the actors playing around??? Jared’s clutching the prop book in most of them…
I was speculating in another thread just before about how we’ve heard nothing about the casting for Prince Phillip, but apparently he’s gonna be in ep 1, and could Dr Whale possibly be him. Seeing David Anders in these photos, hanging out with all the good guys, that suggests that he’s someone they knew as a good guy in FTL. So now I’m wondering if the Whale/Phillip theory is as farfetched as I originally thought.

And why would he think Pinocchio is still a kid.
Well it’s not like he or anyone else in town has any other visual frame of reference as far as Pinocchio is concerned, so what else would he put on the poster? Also, if he’s even bothering to put up posters, that means he’s entertaining the idea that Pinocchio is in Storybrooke, so the rules that applied to Emma ageing, he’s obviously not thinking that Pinocchio grew up in the same way. Emma doesn’t appear to be in these scenes, but I’d expect that Henry would tell him about August when he sees him holding those signs.

ParticipantHope we get some clues about him early on in the season. We know he’s in the first episode, I wonder if people will still be calling him Dr Whale, or if they’ll all be using their FTL names? Guess they wouldn’t give up his identity that easily though, huh? They definitely said they’re casting someone new for Prince Phillip, didn’t they? Not that I can think of any link between Prince Phillip and marine animals, or think of any reason why Prince Phillip would be in league with Regina in our world, or how anything we’ve seen from him would hint at him being Prince Phillip. But we haven’t heard anything about the actor who’ll play Prince Phillip, have we? We just know he’ll be in episode 1, which they’ve already begun filming, so wouldn’t you think they’d have announced, or it would have leaked out, who’s playing him by now? I’m probably wrong, coz it’s a totally random theory, which I hadn’t even thought about before a couple of minutes ago when I started typing this post. LOL

ParticipantThere was a brief glimpse of her in action in the showreel they screened at Comic Con. There was so much cool stuff in that showreel, I’m completely jealous of everyone who got to see it! I’m DYING to see these movies! Is it December yet? How about now? NOW?!
My guess is she’ll be in both movies, part 1 when the Dwarves and Bilbo are captured in Mirkwood, and part 2 at the Battle of Five Armies. Anyway, here’s what was said about her from Comic Con:
Tauriel, barely shown in these clips, although Philippa speaks highly of her in the Q&A which follows. What we do see is a female, dressed in-brown version of Legolas, in combat with goblins. Legolas springs out of… leaves? …and joins in the fighting.
Whole showreel summary is here: http://www.theonering.net/torwp/2012/07/14/59080-the-hobbitcon-hall-h-presentation-torn-round-up-part-one/#more-59080
This is from the Q&A part of the panel:
Q: “What kind of role does Galadriel play, and are there are any female characters you added?”
Philippa Boyens: we did feel the weight of it being a “boys’ own” story. After a while, you’d feel the weight of it. And we did create a character. Her name’s Tauriel, who is an elf. Who is played magnificently by Evangeline Lilly. Who you saw a little bit of. She’s our redhead. We created her for that reason. To bring that energy into the film, that feminine energy. We believe it’s completely within the spirit of Tolkien. You know, we tried really hard, and she wanted that more than anything, herself. She didn’t want it to be a ploy. We wanted her to sit in the world, and I think you guys are going to fall in love with her.
Transcript of the whole Q&A is here: http://www.theonering.net/torwp/2012/07/16/59194-full-transcript-of-the-hall-h-hobbitcon-qa/#more-59194

From the examiner article
Co-creators and executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis confirmed that in season two we would finally be meeting Henry’s father. In fact, series star Jennifer Morrison boasted already knowing who he is, so Kitsis went on to say that the reveal of Henry’s father may not be as big a deal as some fans (or perhaps even this reporter) have built it up because he was just a “one time thing” to Emma (Morrison).
Could this mean that Bae is not Henry’s father or that Henry’s father is not Emma’s true love?
That’s what it sounds like to me. Unless they’re being deliberately misleading, it kinda sounds like they’re trying to throw some cold water on all the speculation. After reading that, I’ve pretty much ruled out Bae being the baby daddy.

ParticipantGlad we won’t have to wait too long to see how Hook and Pan and Neverland all work into the Onceiverse.
Surely they must have Phillip cast by now if he’s gonna be in ep 1, coz they’re a couple days into shooting it already.

ParticipantI like the idea of BF being a bit shady as a means to the “right” end, especially if this re-booting of FTL that we’ve seen in Storybrooke was the only way to bring back the magic that was rapidly dying out.

August’s main characteristic seems to be his stubble. 😆
And his eyes, don’t forget the dreamy, blue eyes. 😉 There’s a blog post I found once that sums it up nicely…
You see, the problem with Eion Bailey can really be summed up in six simple words, though one of them is profane and thus is edited here for content:
Holy @!#*&, those eyes are BLUE!!
Note: the word “BLUE” here should be pronounced in two syllables, with your voice going up on the first one as it might if you were yelling the word “YA-hoo!” BA-loo, I tell you, BA-LOO!!
😉
Anyway, I briefly thought they’d make a good couple, but now can’t really imagine anything beyond a sibling type relationship between them.@obisgirl wrote:
Graham, I would have loved to have seen earlier on but I think would be harder to make possible since he is dead now.
That would be somewhat problematic, yes. LOL

I’ve mentioned before I HATE the idea of Bae being Henry’s father. But, I wouldn’t mind if Bae (never having met each other until now in S2) came to Storybrooke and had a romance with Emma.
Whilst I’m not completely opposed to Bae being Henry’s father, and could live with it if that turns out to be the case, I sort of hope he’s not, just because so much of the fandom seems to be convinced of it already. It’d be more interesting if they shock us with it being someone completely different IMO.
But I do like the idea of Emma and Bae having a relationship. Given the history and tension between their parents, it’d make for a nice forbidden love kind of storyline if they ended up together.

ParticipantVoted. It’s still win-able, not that big of a gap, get on it, people.
