ParticipantI’m just jokin’ with y’all, obisgirl. 😉
This whole debate about August’s identity has become such a big thing, it’s kinda reached ridiculous proportions, so I’ve just gotta laugh about it. Can’t wait until it’s FINALLY resolved, one way or the other, so we can all move onto disagreeing about something new. 😆

ParticipantYeah, you’d think she’d have found it odd, and wondered exactly how Henry managed to catch a bus to Boston if no buses leave Storybrooke. I guess he just rode his bike out past the city limits, to whatever town the bus stop was in.

ParticipantI have zero theories as to who Dr Whale is. Originally thought he was the Wolf, but was dead wrong on that one. LOL
All I know for sure is, I don’t like or trust him.
You’d think he’d have to have been close to EQ in Fairytale. Sidney’s under her thumb in both worlds, as was Graham, so we can probably expect the same for Dr Whale. But the way they mix up the fairytales on this show, who knows who EQ will associate with next. I mean, who’d have thunk she was buddies with the Mad Hatter?

The Blue fairy was very specific on this part & I will quote direct from her here “The enchantment is indeed powerful, but all power has its limits & this tree can protect only one”. For me that sums it up it can protect only one being, Not two from the curse.
So she said, yes, but does that necessarily make it the truth? I mean, technically, even if pregnant Snow had gone in that wardrobe, it would have been protecting TWO, her and the unborn Emma.
So why couldn’t they have sent Pinocchio through first, so he was waiting there to collect Emma when she came through next? If Pinocchio WAS sent, by the Blue Fairy, as a protector for Emma, it’d make sense to keep that secret. If the evil folks know there are two people attempting escape, they’ll go after both of them. If Pinocchio went through first without anyone knowing, so no one could try to stop him, then even if for some reason Emma didn’t make it, they still had Pinocchio in the new world, so it’s still a win.
And even if it WAS true that the tree could only protect one, I can still see Blue Fairy finding another way to send Pinocchio through in secret, for the reasons stated above.
Also the newspaper said 7yr old “local” boy finds ….. Not 7yr old orphan finds (for those that say Pincchino went through the same wardrobe as Emma).
That regularly gets brought up as a glitch in the theory. I reckon they could work around it though because they haven’t shown us the exact details of how it happened. We weren’t able to read the whole article to see what info it has on the boy, if his parents were interviewed and whatnot. Maybe he turned baby Emma in, said he lived somewhere nearby and then slipped away before any more questions could be asked of him. The fact we haven’t seen that whole story, means they could take it in any direction still.
Also August says “I dont lie” or words to that effect repeatedly to Emma- well he does so lie,
Exactly! Would they have gone to great pains to have him insist he DOESN’T lie, then say, “BTW that scene where he talks about the lemurs, something in there was a hint to his identity,” if we weren’t supposed to notice that he’s a liar? To me, that scene just proved he’s a liar, which was a key plot point in Pinocchio’s story.
It’s interesting to see how different people interpret all the different aspects of this show. One scene that proves something to one person proves the exact opposite to someone else. LOL Keeps everyone on their toes and creates confusion. I like it. 😉
& last but not least lol, Doesnt the kid who plays pinocchio have very bright chestnut or Red hair? Bit of a stretch to go from ginna to dk brown dont you think.
Someone put up Bae & Pinocchio photos with August’s & he looks Nothing like Pinocchio at all, if anything it gives credence to the August is Bae camp – as the resemblance is rather solid (& Im not a big August is Bae camper either lol) 😉That’s why a lot of people write off the Pinocchio theory, coz he’s got the wrong coloured hair and eyes. Though he’s still got the wrong colour eyes to be Bae too. Actually, according to the Once Wiki I just looked up, Pinocchio has blue eyes, like August, but I’m sure in all the discussion about it, I’ve seen people say that Pinocchio has green eyes, which is why he can’t be August. Anyway, Bae’s eyes are brown, and August’s are most definitely blue, so basically, neither kid has the right colour eyes.

ParticipantThe Lemuria sunken continent stuff is interesting, especially as you say, he seems to have a certain admiration of water.
Also, in Roman mythology, there are figures called “lemures”. Here’s the wiki page on ’em: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lemures (it mentions a couple of “Augustan poets” right there in the first paragraph, which is a fun lil connection to his name).
One thing we can take for certain from that scene is that August is a lying liar who lies about temples and monkeys and Nepal and lemurs. I so wish he’d scratched his itchy nose right after telling Ruby those lies, coz that right there woulda been inconclusive evidence as to his Pinocchio-ness. 😛

ParticipantI doubt that Regina expected Mary to “leave” exactly, I think she’s just expecting that because she can’t leave, she’ll die in the process of trying. I know we’ve seen other people try to leave and they’ve just been stopped short, they haven’t actually died, but Snow was the main focus of this curse, so I’d believe that an attempt for her to leave would in fact result in death.
There is something I’ve wondered about though, and I dunno if it’s something we’re really supposed to wonder about, or if we’re just supposed to accept that “it just is”, but somehow, someway, someone must be able to come and go from town, otherwise how are the shops kept stocked? Where does all the food come from? And the other groceries? Eg: It’s not like Storybrooke has its own toothpaste factory to keep up the supply, right? Where does the stock in the clothing shops come from? Where do the comic books we’ve seen for sale come from? Even if it’s all mail ordered, how do the packages get there? If no one from outside can enter town, then the delivery guy can’t exactly just drive into town.
So either we’re not meant to think about that too much and just accept that it happens somehow, or someone is actually able to leave town to go pick it all up and bring it back in. But they’ve made such a point of saying that no one can leave, that I’m thinking it might be the former.
Obviously they can contact the outside world though. They have the internet, and can make phonecalls. Even if Mr Gold can’t physically leave town, he was able to make some calls and pull some strings to get Henry sent there. That’s where my theory came from that perhaps August has been Mr Gold’s “man on the outside” so to speak, because he could have set that stuff up. Might have to abandon that theory though because the promo for the next ep doesn’t exactly make it look like August and Mr Gold are BFFs who have worked together for years.

If we watched another show and her someone say, “Dearie,” we might think it was a reference to Once Upon a Time, when it was just something that sounded good to use.
LOL Good point. That word will now always make me think of Rumple, for the rest of my days, no matter what setting I hear it in.
The guys have said that they do in fact drop hints, and that when things are finally revealed, people will go back and be all, “DUH how did I miss that, it’s so obvious.” That’s one of the reasons I got all caught up on the doll of Grace’s that Regina is holding in Hat Trick…it’s a random blonde haired princess doll in a pink dress and I went and formed a whole theory that it simply MUST mean that Grace’s mother will end up being Aurora. This show messes with your head in the most delightful way. 😉
Now that there’s a blonde showing up in an obscure role, I may need to add to that above speculation and say that this new character will end up being Aurora.
Wonder if she's gonna be in any more eps this season, or just that one. If we knew she was gonna be in one of Sebastian Stan's two upcoming eps, I'd be bouncing off the walls. LOL

Anotehr blow to Pinochio Pan, He would need to be either ten years old or near his fifties. We saw Pinocchio in the pilot as a ten eyar old and Pan can’t be too far behind. Even if Gepetto, Tinkerbell or [insert other relatively minor magical character here} made a loophole, they would nromally age as Emma did.
The Pinocchio theory hinges on him having escaped the curse, meaning he aged normally in our world, outside of Storybrooke. For what it’s worth, the age of the actor who plays August is 35, which is Emma’s age (28) + the age of the boy who found her by the roadside (7).

Did anyone see the article where the producers confirmed that they’ll be able to do Peter Pan? Here’s the link:
http://www.buzzfocus.com/2012/03/25/onc … wondercon/
Those points at the bottom of the article (where it mentions Peter Pan) seem to be taken from the WonderCon panel they did. I was watching youtube of it the other day, will see if I can find it again….
Here we go: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hzC_v91lFOs
At the 2:45 mark, they’re asked which characters are on their wish list and where they’re at with Peter Pan and the answer is, “We’re still trying to get that,” then they mention Ariel, Mulan and Rapunzel as other characters they want to use, which are the exact characters that bit in the article mentions.April 5, 2012 at 8:06 am in reply to: Official Promotional Stills for Episode 1×19 "The Return" #141009Phee

Are we sure that it is August that is showing the picture of the dagger and that he is showing it to Rumpel?
Looks to me just like someone’s (probably August) holding it and looking at it, not actually showing it to anyone.
@mickey wrote:
From the photos we can see that Bae saw the dagger and actually held it. In the promo August was looking at the picture of the dagger probably so that it would be easier for him to find it.
If he was Bae, he wouldn’t need the picture. Bae knew what the dagger looked like. Only a person who hadn’t seen the dagger before would need the picture to recognise it.Good point! That fits with the new theory I’m working on that Blue Fairy saved Pinocchio from the curse, and sent this picture of the dagger with him, so that one day he’d be able to track it down to use it against Rumple.
