ParticipantYes, I loved that! You should mention it in the Objects thread on the Gen discussion board if you haven’t already. 🙂

Here is what I keep coming back to: does this mean at least one person in each “world” has a hat?
And does ONLY one person in each world have a hat?
Does it always have to be a hat, or can it be any number of enchanted objects?
Just how often do all the characters hop between worlds?@belleoftheball wrote:
It seemed to me he was frantically trying to make a hat to transport him. This could be the hat that the Queen of Hearts asked him to make, or it could be a new hat he was trying to make to get back to SB?
I’ve seen some discussion on this topic elsewhere too, but I think it’s gotta be a flashback to right after he met the QoH, because Emma saw the scene in the book, therefore it must have happened in Wonderland’s history, not in the present.

My BF just got finished watching the episode and he pitched an idea. Are Regina and Jefferson somehow related? He seems to think they might be half siblings. I told him I’d pitch it to the forum and see what people thought. I’m inclined to not believe it. I think they have a history but I was reading it as more intimate and less sibling.
There was most definitely a familiarity of some sort between them, because she allowed him to get all up in her face and call her Regina instead of addressing her using her title. Here’s a thought, if they’re related somehow, maybe Regina Mills isn’t from a family of millers, but rather a family of milliners. 😉

ParticipantI’ll bet this is how it went down in the writing room:
Horowitz: So we have the Caterpillar on his mushroom as they enter Wonderland and he says his iconic line, “Who are you? Who….are….you?”
Kitsis: *singing* Who who who who, I really wanna know, whoooooooo aaarrreeee you – hey ya know who we should get to do his voice?!

ParticipantWhere's the credits info for ep 18? On imdb, Jennifer Koenig is only listed for Hat Trick & I just had a quick scan of the plot summary thread in the spoiler section which lists all the guest stars and didn't see her mentioned there either.

ParticipantAt the end of the day, Mr Gold is on TeamMrGold, but he’ll play along with whatever other team will help him achieve his goal. It’s my belief that his ultimate goal is to be victorious over Regina, so he needs Emma to come out on top. But Emma’s not ready yet, she doesn’t believe yet, she’s not powerful enough yet. So if he leads Regina on, makes her believe that she still has the upper hand and he’s not trying to defy her, that buys Emma more time.

ParticipantI’d kinda thought the lines were symbolic of the brim of the hat spinning around, which is a terribly simplistic idea compared to what you’re suggesting. Now I’ll hafta google this fibonacci business to see what it’s all about.
The door with the trees looks a bit too Oriental to be a doorway to Maine. The door two to the right of the Looking Glass looks like an average door you’d find on a regular American house though.
If one of the doors in that room does in fact lead to Storybrooke, does that mean that magical beings could have come and gone to and from our world whenever, (as long as they had a magical hat)? And if so, who has done so, and when? Hmmmmm, I now have a frillion new questions running through my head.

ParticipantThere’s no shot of it that’s close enough or clear enough to read the cover. All you can tell is that it’s blue and gold.

ParticipantLoved both of those scenes! Was so sweet when Emma let the word “family” slip out. It must really be tripping her out that she’s maybe starting to believe that Mary could actually be her mother.

ParticipantWhen Regina opened the box, it looked empty to me, so the TinyHenry who grew when he ate the mushroom theory works for me.
I most definitely think that QoH will turn out to be Regina's mother. Nevermind what the credits say about who played the part in this ep. Lots of people know who will be playing Regina's mother, so they wouldn't wanna show her face in this ep. What other reason would there be for them to hide her identity?

If Emma keeps the book, then she bound to stumble across pictures of Charming and Snow and Regina. They are in there. We’ve seen them. They are often used as transitional pieces to get us into FTL from SB via Henry’s POV. Maybe that will lead her to accepting the truth of FTL. And then, and only then, can she start to really break the curse.
I’m hoping that Emma DID actually recognise Jefferson and his daughter in the pictures, beyond just, “Huh, turns out the Mad Hatter really did have a daughter.” If she actually noticed the resemblance, then I hope she also recognises other book illustrations if she looks through it a bit more.

I also wonder if Emma doesn’t necessarily need to be magical in the true sense of the word to have magical abilities to the FTL/SB characters. Emma is the only character so far that bridges FTL, SB, and the real world. So, in a way, if Rumple, Henry, or August can get Emma to believe in the book she would be pretty powerful because of the knowledge she would have and because of the ability she would have to travel between lands (especially now that we have seen the Mad Hatter episode). Like Rumple said at the end of the Heart of Darkness episode she could be more powerful than she knows even if she can’t do any magic in the true sense of the word – especially if the FTL characters can’t do any real magic in SB. And I wonder about that now because of the scene between Mr. Gold and Regina outside the Sheriff’s office last night – if they could do magic, it seems like whatever went wrong, would not have gone wrong.
It’s seemed to me up to this point that no new magic can be conjured up by anyone in Storybrooke. There’s residual magic that came over with the curse, like poor Graham’s heart, but it’s not like Regina can cast new spells. So if in fact Emma did create a magical hat, that’s quite an intriguing development.
We don’t actually have confirmation that the hat WAS magical. It’s reasonable to assume that it was, and that Jefferson got transported somewhere, but there’s always the chance that they’re messing with us and he just landed safely and scurried out of sight.
There’s no doubt though, that as you say rumplegoldfan, traditional magic aside, Emma’s knowledge and belief will be a powerful thing. More powerful than the curse.
