ParticipantI know I said I wasn’t gonna bother listing all my dislikes, but I want to mention this one because I feel like it’s an example of a big problem the show has as a whole.
Regina telling Robin that he and Henry are the only two people in town who believe in her. So, I guess that moment when Emma vowed to get Regina a happy ending, that never happened? The whole ep where they established how Emma wasn’t giving up on Regina and wanted them to be friends, that never happened? Snow giving her that pep talk while they were walking down the road, that never happened?
With that line they gave Regina to say to Robin, they blatantly ignored actual things they had established earlier in this half of the season, things that were portrayed as a big deal mere episodes ago. It’s similar to how they’re writing Rumple, the things they’re having him say that directly contradict that time when he DID chose his son over power, DID choose to sacrifice himself for the sake of everyone else. So having him say stuff implying he’s never ever thought of anyone else except for himself and his lust for power is just a straight up contradiction of what they’ve written previously.
For as much as it annoys me that they retcon plot stuff, like what happened to Blackbeard, the retcon of characters themselves is what really infuriates me. If the writers don’t care about consistency, then how are we meant to care and get invested in the characters and the story?

ParticipantIf the theory that the Apprentice is actually the Sorcerer proves true, and he can now team up with Blue, you’d think they could bust everyone out of that thing.

ParticipantIf they wanted to leave open the possibility that Blackbeard was alive, they shouldn’t have had the water fricking bubble like multiple creatures were having an instant feeding frenzy. That was going on for long enough before Ariel jumped in that it’s ABSURD that he survived…and with his exact same clothing perfectly intact too. Puh-lease.
Also, if the parents had the wishing star, why didn’t they use it? Were they not pure of heart? Is that what Blackberad said?
OMG THIS! If they already had the wishing star (an item they retrieved on a voyage to the foreign land, so yeah, they shoulda known what it was) why did they even need to go on the voyage that got them killed? Just make a wish that Elsa wasn’t magical, or that her magic wouldn’t hurt anyone. Problem solved.

ParticipantI haven’t the patience to list all the things I disliked about this ep. The final shot where Snowing let go of each other’s hands, and the moment when Anna started saying her dying vows to Kristoff were the only two highlights.

ParticipantSaw your tweets about another podcast that has decided to call it quits.
It’s Other Side Of The Mirror, an Evil Regal podcast. Their tweets on the topic are too numerous to post, but you can see them here: https://twitter.com/OtherSideONCE/with_replies

ParticipantPro tip: watch while drunk. Everything will still be ridiculous, but you won’t care half as much.

ParticipantIt’s 8 hours since I downloaded the ep. I’m finally bothering to hit play on it. I have had wine. I hope this makes watching it more tolerable, 😛

ParticipantLOL DSB, gotta love happy accidents. 😛
Yes Watcher, Mounties (unlike Santa) are a real thing with a long and proud history.
They ride mooses!!
Are Mounties descended from Elves?

Participant:O THESE PEOPLE ACTUALLY EXIST????? I thought that was like a cartoon thing >> Like the fuzzy hat guys in Britain who like never move and everyone always plays jokes on them…
LOL You know the fuzzy hat guys are real too, right? They’re the Queen’s Guards.
Text, I wanna know what that Mountie thought when someone randomly asked them to pose with a toy bison. LOL
Lauren, I love the picnic pic! 🙂
Hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving.

ParticipantUm, do we know that Rumple is immune to this curse?
I would assume he is just because he already sees the world through evil, cynical, deceptive eyes. So what could this curse reveal to him to make him act bad when he’s already so aware of all the bad?
If he does ask for Belle to be spared I’d say it’s largely motivated by him not wanting her to discover and accept the thruths about him and leave him.
