ParticipantI think that peddlar guy is most likely the author. But the twist might be that he simply records choices that the characters makes and he has no control over the direction of the story. That would be awesome.
I agree. I prefer the characters to make their own choices in life for better or worse, not be forced to act a certain way because the author said so. If everyone’s life was dictated by the author, then what did Regina and Rumple do to the author to deserved the life they got?

ParticipantThey could easily have Belle pull out the gauntlet and have it take her to his weakness. If it brings her to herself (???) then she would know he no longer wants power but really loves her and is putting her first.
Thing with the gauntlet though is it takes you to a person’s weakness which is NORMALLY the thing they love most. However, in Rumple’s case, he’s described Belle as giving him STRENGTH “you made me stronger” and the dagger is literally his weakness because it controls him and makes him enslaved to whoever wields the dagger. Belle is not Rumple’s weakness.
Cora subscribed to “Love is Weakness”, does Belle believe that too since she expected herself to be Rumple’s weakness?

ParticipantI have an issue with everyone calling adult Lily “miscasting”. The casting call for young Lily described her as “”a bright, self-reliant teen who boasts a charming, take-no-prisoners punk exterior and the heart of a secretive, insecure opportunist”. No where did it specify for a Latina actress. Perhaps they chose a dark haired and eyed actress who maybe could be paralleled to Regina, but did not necessarily need to be. Lana is only half Latina, her mother being Italian. They could just as easily have chosen anyone of southern European heritage to play the part if they wanted the actress to look like Lana. Why pigeonhole an actress as “Latina” when the part was given on merit and not ethnicity? The actress who played young Lily did a great job and I personally didn’t look at her onscreen and think of her as being cast because she was any particular ethnicity.
The girl who played young Lily was latina and she got that role on talent not because of her ethnicity. That’s great. However, continuity wise, Lily is now Latina. Therefore adult Lily should be Latina. People don’t just change ethnicity as they grow up.
Considering Once has an unintentional habit of discarding any characters that are POC, you think they’d not whiten up a character that is already established as a POC.

ParticipantYou wouldn’t get an episode like Manhattan on Once nowadays.
What made Manhattan work was that it wasn’t about action or the big reveal (since everyone had guessed Neal was Bae), it was about the emotion. It was the episode where Rumple finally found Bae. Manhattan was about the Rumple/Bae relationship which was one of the foundations of the show.
11 episode arcs doesn’t allow for a Manhattan episode, there isn’t time and that’s a shame.

ParticipantI know this is crazy… but what if Maleficent is a grown up Lily. It’s unlikely but possible.
Maleficent was a grown adult before Emma was conceived. She can’t be a grown up Lily when Lily was a teenager at the same time Emma was a teenager.
My new theory is that Lily refers to Tiger Lily from Neverland.
This would be very interesting if true especially as there are a lot of unanswered questions from the Neverland arc, however, I think it’s very unlikely as Neverland has been and gone.

ParticipantWhilst I love a lot of Belle’s FTL attire including the blue dress (Skin Deep and Family business), the purple dress, the gold dress, basically any dress Belle wears in FTL, one of my favourite outfits is her adventure outfit in the Outsider.

Also, can anyone confirm in It’s not easy being green, Zelena is wearing one of Regina’s red dresses in the scene where she first starts turning green?

ParticipantIf Blue is the author then both Regina’s and Rumple’s mission to get the author to give them a happy ending is screwed. Rumple hates fairies and just hatted them, Blue really doesn’t like Rumple because he’s the dark one plus add the hatting to the list. Blue wouldn’t let Tinkerbell help Regina BEFORE she went all evil Queen, no way she’s going to help Regina after everything that has happened.

ParticipantI had a theory on how they could age Henry up to Jared Gilmore’s age physically without having to time skip.
A way Belle might start trusting Rumple or at least starting to build bridges with him could be if, whilst Rumple is team Villain, he does something that proves he isn’t 100% “bad”, and that little flicker of goodness is enough to encourage Belle not to give up on Rumple just yet.

ParticipantThere is no way they can explain away the recast in-show without screwing something up. Belle and Marian have acknowledged Sean Maguire as the Tom Ellis Robin. Sean Maguire Robin is around chronologically before Tom Ellis Robin. Fans have accepted Robin was recast, the casual audience aren’t that bothered, why try and fix something that isn’t broken?
