ParticipantOh my!! If they do that it will be horrible!! Especially since the poor guy only ended up getting stuck with the Dark One curse because he wanted to protect Bae from the Ogre Wars in the first place. That would be the most horrible thing I could possibly imagine and an awful way to end the season – which means it will probably happen!!
Maybe that’s how Gold will end up being reunited with Belle. Because I’m pretty sure that if he ends up killing Bae he will end up in the psycho ward right next to Belle.

They might get some rights difficulties with Bill Willingham and his Fables comic books. The premise is different, but what you discribe is very close to what also is part of those comic books. It would be fun to watch, though. 🙂
I always think it’s funny when things like that happen because I have no idea what you are talking about – I’ve never heard about them before. But if I had created a show about it I would end up getting sued!

ParticipantI had also thought about this but had a different theory about how he could be both. I thought that maybe Bae wanted to get away from Rumple after he became the Dark One and the Blue Fairy heard his wish and turned him into the puppet version of Pinocchio and gave him to Gepetto. This would explain why Rumple hates fairies. The way I would explain the age difference is that when the Blue Fairy changes Pinocchio back into a real boy she changes him based upon the size and appearance of the puppet, not based upon what Bae was like in his previous life. I think that although Pinocchio was originally Bae – he basically has become a new person completely, he was cared for as puppet by Gepetto and is therefore raised as a boy by Gepetto.
However, based upon the pictures for the Bae backstory that were just released it doesn't look like he is fearful or unhappy with Rumple as the Dark One so I don't think I am still going with this theory anymore.

ParticipantI thought I read a post somewhere that said that someone saw a picture of a tree that had come up in the middle of the main road in SB. I think it would be interesting if parts of FTL started to “come back” or “reappear” after the curse is broken instead of having everyone go back to FTL.
I also think it would be interesting if SB was suddenly on the map and ordinary “normal” people started moving into town and integrating with the fairy tale characters. It would be interesting to see how they would handle that situation. They couldn’t let people know who they are right away but they would need new people to come to town to keep the place going. And over time they would probably end up marrying normal people and then they would discover they had married fairy tale characters, etc. You could have characters from the other “worlds” come through the other doors to live in SB as well so at first no one would know if a new person was a normal person or a fairy tale character. It could be kind of a mystery to the “original” characters on the show – they could kind of take bets and follow new residents to determine whether they are normal or fairy tale characters. I think there are all kinds of things they could do to have fun with the show. Think of the fun they could have with holiday shows when in-laws come to SB to visit their “normal” family members and are surrounded by odd people that they can’t quite figure out!!

ParticipantI know. I just call it Love Potion #9 because of the space on the shelf. And I agree that I think it has to do with the curse and is the reason that Emma is the savior. But I also think that it may give Rumple the ability to bring back the dead – only because he has made a big deal about not being able to bring back the dead but has also said that if you can bottle love you can do ANYTHING. And since uncalled for deaths seem to be a bit of a problem on this show, and a cause of evilness and vengence, I think it would be interesting if it gave him the ability to bring back the dead. Who knows – maybe Kathryn is our first example of someone who has been brought back from the dead.

ParticipantSometimes I wonder, as others have pointed out, if Kitsis and Horowitz scan the many forums to see what the popular theories are and add little things like the “shin splints” comment and moment to make people think “yep, Pinocchio” just to mess with us – when it will have NOTHING to do with Pinocchio or Peter Pan or a Lost Boy or Bae. It’s like with Ruby and the wolf. I think I saw one person somewhere who said they thought Ruby was the wolf but they only posted it once. The rest of the time we were obsessed with Dr. Whale – which they totally messed with us with the whole scene with Ruby leaving town with creeper Dr. Whale trying to pick up on her. So although I agree that I have seem numerous reasons to believe that August is Pinocchio, on this show I have come to realize if the evidence points to something – don’t look in that direction.

Something that just popped into my head based on the preview for the next ep. It seems August has the dagger. Maybe Mr Gold will ask Emma to steal it back for him? Though would he go that far, because if she sees it and sees the name on it, she’ll know who he is, and I’m not so sure he’d want that. But if he wants her to start believing in all the fairytale stuff badly enough, maybe he’d be willing to give up his name? Hmmm, not sure I like my theory now that I’ve thought it through, but I’ll still throw it out there, just in case.
You know, since Henry hasn’t figured out who Gold is yet and in the preview it looks like Gold thinks that August is there to kill him I wonder if they will have Gold do something totally unexpected to try to get Emma to start believing. I wonder if they will have her favor be to believe to that he is Rumplestiltskin – since the dagger is in the episode and his name is carved into the knife and all. We don’t know exactly what August added to the book so it’s possible that he added Rumple’s story to the book but Henry just hasn’t read it yet. Maybe he will ask Emma and Henry to read his story. It would be typical for us to think that Gold would ask Emma for something major (for more than half a sandwich anyway 😆 ) so maybe this would be a twist they could throw our way. Depending on exactly what happened to Bae and when he left Rumple he may not know exactly what Rumple is trying to do, so if August is Bae he might not realize that Gold is trying to help Emma. So Gold may need Emma’s help in explaining to August that he has been helping her. If the last thing Bae saw was Rumple killing the guards he may think that Rumple spent his life on killing sprees instead of making deals with people – so he may be back thinking he’s going to kill Gold to protect people from a mass murderer or something.

Maybe Regina’s Mother, who we know is going to the King’s Castle too will do something to publicly humiliate Regina. It seem’s very likely indeed that would be who would do it. When Regina’s sanity snapped, it felt to me like she placed all the blame on Snow. Just before she said she should have let her die on the horse. Regina still needs to discover how to get her Mother’s powers, and how to kill her. Poor Snow is the blame and cause for everything wrong; unfortunately not uncommon in abusive households. I don’t know if that’s the way the story will go, but way too many times in today’s world the children do take the blame.
I think this is a great theory and would be consistent with how Regina so far has blamed SW for what has really been her mother’s actions. And with the way her mother behaves, I could see her doing somethat that would seriously humiliate Regina. She seems like one of those mothers that would continue to want to “mother” her daughter even after she is a married women – especially if she is going to the palace with her. And if Cora was going to live at the palace with Regina after she married the King, would that mean the entire family was going? As in Regina’s father would be going to live at the castle as well?? Because if it does, SOMETHING happened that caused her father to be kicked out at some point. It’s possible that Cora did something to humiliate Regina and they were both kicked out of the castle because of it?? Maybe then Regina killled her mother after they left the castle.

ParticipantI’m wondering if something happened at Regina’s wedding. I don’t get the feeling that Regina felt humiliated in the Fruit of the Poisonous Tree episode as much as she felt ignored and invisible. By that point I feel like something had already happened that had isolated her from the King and Snow White. I wonder if something happened at her wedding that publicly humiliated her. Maybe Snow White said something at the reception (again something that a child wouldn’t understand as being inappropriate) that made it obvious that Regina wasn’t in love with the King but was in love with Daniel.
The reason I wonder this is because of the spectacle the EQ made at SW’s wedding. She didn’t interrupt SW’s wedding to enact the curse, she interrupted her wedding to ruin the day and tell everyone about the curse. I think that Kitsis and Horowitz somewhere mentioned that there was a specific reason that the EQ chose to interrupt SW’s wedding? So now I am wondering if it was because the “public humiliation” happened at her own wedding and to get revenge she wanted to return the favor.

I think if Bae is dead then Rumpel can’t bring him back. I was watching Ep 2 and Maleficent said something like even this curse will not bring back what you love, so i don’t think the curse can do that. I don’t think it can bring someone back from the dead. It is possible that Bae is not dead though.
But I think it is possible that Rumple might be able to bring someone back from the dead now that he has Love Potion #9. He made a big deal about how if you can bottle love you can do anything. But I am also not convinced that Bae is dead so I don’t know if it matters anyway.
