A few things:
1) Never expected her to be the fun fairytale character as the original story is DARK DARK DARK. I want a mix of the two.2) I don’t think them calling her a fairytale character is evidence that she’s in FTL. Alice and Wonderland, Peter Pan, the Little Mermaid they are all just “fantasy” stories. It’s just that both Alice and Peter have their own lands in their stories so we expect that those lands already exist. Since Ariel doesn’t have a fantasy land associated with her story, she can be anywhere.
Technically speaking, the Little Mermaid and Hans Christian Andersen’s stories are considered “fairy tales”, while Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland are not. I’m still siding with Ariel being in FTL because that is typically the home of fairy tale characters. I would say Adam & Eddy not knowing when to introduce her yet implies that they don’t necessarily just want to lump Ariel into Neverland just because there happens to be mermaids there. Seeing mermaids will certainly be something that will happen in Neverland, but that doesn’t mean we have to see Ariel among them.
True having mermaids in NL doesn’t mean we’re getting Ariel but if you’re going to do her story, what better time than when you’ve already set up mermaids in the world? Also, if we don’t get her soon I fear for the writers because the fans are slightly rabid for her by this point.

I’m telling you guys. Rumple wiil go berserk if Bae and Hook are even remotely civil to each other much less…gulp….friendly
He’s not going to be happy about it, I agree, but I think he’s going to be very cautious about angering Bae again. The “death” of his son is really a wake up call and I think Rumple’s going to try to make amends if he sees Bae and Hook are on good terms (which they may not be, given how their relationship ended).

KeymasterHe would have been pretty close, I agree. I just looked at the transcript and can’t find anything in Morraine’s speech about how long it’s been. But it has to be some span of time because everyone knew Rumple as the Dark One and feared him and he had time to end the war and bring all the children home.

Anyhoo, Once is renewed for season 3. π
It’s respectable, from what I can tell. The fact is, we remain consistent and with the new schedule for S3, the numbers should climb back up once we ditch that horrendous hiatus thing from S2.

I really need them to officially tell me how old Rumple is. Because if Bae came through at the age of 14 in 1858 (at least) and it’s 2013 now…then Bae is 155 years old. And Rumple, being around 35-ish when Bae was born is about 190..

All this math. I’m looking at the wanted poster. The text is a bit blurred but March 23, 1977 could have been just the date Bae arrived back in our world after being stuck in Neverland for so long. And apparently, he came through and ended up in New Jersey.
So he arrived in 1977 at the age of 14, thus born in 1963? That would make him, right now in 2013, 50. And when he met Emma in 2001 38 to her 17/18. Hmmm. I tend to think that he arrived in our world at the age of 14 in 1991 making him 24 when he met Emma and then his DOB would be 1977 to account for him already being 14 . *this paragraph took far too much effort to figure out, btw. I hate math. *hate**

She can’t have been to Neverland, she didn’t even recognize the land when its map appeared on the globe. It’d necessarily have to be the other way around, as in Ariel went to FTL from NL.
Yes, that theory was floating around before ASOTM. I’m more inclined to believe that mermaids exist in different lands and we’ll see Ariel in NL.

KeymasterThe Live+7 ratings for Second Star To The Right… are in.
We had an initial ratings share of 2.2 and once again we rose 0.9% to end with a 3.1. We were the fourth ranked ABC show, just behind Grey’s, Modern Family, and Scandal.

KeymasterI agree that Belle is an extension of Rumple and that by hurting Belle Hook’s hurting Rumple. Hook even says so: “I hurt his heart. Belle’s just where he keeps it.” But his justification wasn’t because he thought he was saving Belle from a lifetime if misery, but because he wanted to hurt Rumple. He wasn’t looking out for Belle’s best interest (like Moe was, however misguided and stupid), he was getting revenge and that’s the problem I have.
Did you see his face? His one true love, gone in an instant! Just like Milah, crocodile! When you took her from meβ¦
He deliberately hurt an innocent in his quest for revenge(whether Milah was an innocent is a whole other conversation). Hook even says afterwards to Emma, “I did some quality damage to my foe.” It had nothing to do with saving Belle from Rumple in my opinion.

KeymasterThere are many theories about this.
1) Regina has been to NL and encountered the Mermaid there
2) Mermaids are in both lands (we know for SURE they are in NL, we don’t know they are in FTL yet)
3) Mermaids travel between worlds. Phee can jump in here and tell you the theory about water as a way between worlds.

But see, they had Neal himself, IN THE SHOW, say he would be a couple hundred years old. (Also the slightly contradictory “this wasn’t my first stop” statement…) So it’s canon that Neal was born a couple hundred years ago, whatever that means. (Adam himself has said that only what’s in the show is canon, though I’ll accept statements from him that don’t contradict canon as canon-enough. Of course, he’s also said that the comic and Wonderland will be canon…so…gah.)
Those two quotes are going to kill this fandom and we’ve analyzed the heck out of them. Maybe Neal was exaggerating? Maybe he doesn’t consider this his first stop since he was only here for about 7 months?
