This is true, she does have potential to be more than just what she is right now. I know we’ll see her again as we’re getting more of Hook’s backstory and maybe they’ll show how conflicted she was over leaving Bae and how much she wanted to go back and get him but in my eyes the fact remains: she didn’t. She ran off, left him with someone she considered to be a coward and wished has died instead of being a father and chances are I’m never going to like her much.

I also don’t get the impression that Hook has loved anyone since Milah unless they were planning to have the traditional Little Mermaid story happen in present day. However, we don’t usually see the familiar part of the story- most often we see before it or after it. But if it turns out you are right, I could possible warm up to the idea if it’s done well. I was really against the idea of Bae having been to Neverland originally, but that turned out ok.
Phee and I have different headcanons on this but I don’t think Hook has met Ariel yet, but I do think she’s seen him from afar and is in love with him. She wants to be human to be with him but so far Hook’s only ever been interested in revenge.
Has anyone thought about Ursula? I remember back at the first Paley Fest, when The Little Mermaid was brought up, Lana said she wanted to play Ursula. So will Ursula be someone we already know or someone new? I think I’d prefer someone new.

But did he forgive Rumple? Their relationship as of ASOTM wasn’t anything like either one of them hoped it would be.

I agree, and yet often times in the live chat on Wednesday’s people bring up Milah and some people do feel for her, they say she’s hated by the fan base for no reason, ect. We all see things differently, but Milah’s up there on my “I never want to see you again” list.

She chose to let Bae grow up without a mother then she would have just crashed back into Bae’s life and taken him away from the father who loved him. Rumple wouldn’t have had any say in the matter, Milah would have probably just took Bae and left again
This this this this this. When Hook told Bae this in ASOTM, I was livid toward Milah.

But Adam & Eddy did say that they want to do her story right and not rush into it just to please fans sooner. Since I doubt Neverland will last the entire Season, we may get Ariel in the 2nd half of the Season instead. Or, perhaps Neal and MAP run into Ariel in FTL. I doubt Neal will find a quick way back to Storybrooke, so he and MAP need something to do while he’s stuck in FTL.
Yes if they do Ariel I want it to be well thought out and not a one-off. I would kill to be a fly on the writers room wall at this point because they have so many balls up in the air it comes down to: how much of each land/time are we going to be seeing. I figure events in NL of the present weigh more heavily and to me, personally, that opens up the door for Ariel. But I think that for the first half of the season we’ll see FTL of the present with Neal and MAP only here and there (the 1st episode, and maybe they get 2 or 3 episodes that focus on them). With Sarah and Jamie both having to leave soon-ish they’ll utilize them at the start. Same with SB, we’ll see it and Belle in the 1st episode and then in my head Belle leaves SB in episode 6 and goes to FTL where she joins Neal and MAP leave the storyline to continue trying to retake the land. Bae and Belle then spend some time in FTL trying to get to NL but again the focus goes to NL of the present. I’m sensing very little flashbacks. This is what’s in my head.

Once he and Bae are back on good terms and he has Belle, I think he can let Milah’s betrayal go. Both Hook and Rumple are looking for ways to let that pain go (different pain but both over the same woman). Rumple can move on with Belle and Bae and Hook can move on as well (insert the ship of your choice here 😆 ).
Rumple and Hook are so much alike that they would make almost great friends if it wasn’t for Milah and the the hurt between them. Maybe saving Henry (and Bae’s eventual return) will help."He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"
