Did we see Hook & Cora throw the bean? Because I don’t remember them jumping/sailing into the portal–we just see them on the ship emerging out of it. She totally could have made his ship fly onto the ground.

No we don’t. We just see Hook hold up the bean. We know they used Lake Nostos to rejuvenate it but that’s it.

I tend to agree, though I know why they did it. They needed Bae’s “death” to shake Rumple in a way that nothing ever could, and for that to happen he first had to fall into a really bad place emotionally, going super dark. I was convinced until about two days before Lacey aired that the persona of Lacey would only be around for that episode, that Belle would get her memories back in 19. I wonder if it would have played better had they introduced Lacey earlier in the season, had Regina not waited until episode 19 to inflict the curse persona on her. But the question is : when? Had they done it earlier, that phone call would not have happened and I wouldn’t trade that phone call for anything.
I’m really happy Belle’s back and I don’t need to see Lacey ever again, really, but I’m sure now that they are both, our Belle will be a bit different.

Oooh. Ooooh. oooh. I concur! My money is on Henry, but I think Rumple will step in and save him, thus making Henry his undoing. My question is: if this plays out, will be Rumple’s shadow that is removed or the Dark One’s power?

The Bean in FL took Snow and Emma back to storybrooke though. 🙂

Snow and Emma didn’t use a bean, they used the enchanted wardrobe ashes and the compass.

Hook and Cora used the bean to get here, which seems to be the one exception.

    Bean + Water = Neverland

    Bean + Earth = FTL

So here’s a list of every time we’ve seen a bean being used.

    1) Bae uses bean + earth = London (circa 1850s-1900s)

    2) Hook uses bean + water = Neverland (after Milah’s death)

    3) Hook uses bean +water with Cora = Storybrooke (this is the one that sticks out like a sore thumb and I’m betting there was some extra magic Cora did that we didn’t see.)

    4) Tamara uses bean + earth to send Neal = FTL (SSTR)

    5) Hook uses bean + water to send JR crew = Neverland

The beans are the most confusing in my mind

Hat = any world with magic
    Looking Glass = Wonderland
    Slippers = Oz
Beans = our world and Neverland and FTL. I think it was Obisgirl who said that it depends on where the beans lands, so on dry earth it takes you to FTL but on water it takes you to NL and if you’re in FTL it takes you here no matter what.

Wonder if Hook had a spare portal jumping device apart from that one bean? Or did he just figure that no worries, he had all the time in the world(s) and there was bound to be a way to get out of NL though he didn’t know what before he got there. Then he got there and realised that there’s only one person who controls who comes and goes from NL.

We know he took the JR to FTL when he went back to try and kill Rumple so I wonder if he used pixie dust to move his vessel. In the PP movie Tink’s dust helps the JR to fly and take the Darling children home, so Hook could use the same method. Of course, that involves him finding Tink.

I’m still rather partial to my theory of Neverland standing in for the Pleasure Island chapter of Pinocchio’s life, but I like this as well. He’d have to have a very loose connection to THO for Tamara to do what she did in “Selfless, Brave and True”, though.

I’m intrigued by this notion because it would help explain how August knew that Neal was Bae without having to introduce new people or give some off the wall explanation. Simple: They were together on Neverland. And perhaps PP didn’t want Pinocchio because he doesn’t have a shadow as a wooden boy (maybe?) or his shadow wouldn’t be as valuable/useful as real boys’ shadows.

except that the island has some sort of magical property in which if you set foot upon it, you are doomed to stay forever.

I’m still not convinced of that. Hook said that it was impossible to leave Neverland even while not having set foot upon the island in the finale, one’d think he’d believe otherwise if this magical property existed. Moving between realms isn’t something easy to do, I see this as being just a case of the known means of doing that being controlled by Peter Pan.

Good point. Maybe it’s not a magical curse type that prevents people from leaving, but rather it’s Pan that prevents people from leaving. Once you’re on the island, you’re his.

Phee–brilliant! So of course the explanation will be something else not as cool. (mutters about BF having no memories, fictional London link to Land without Color, and other busted theories).

I like that idea as it explains August instead of leaving us to think he was just lazy (or crazy) to be so insistent that Neal had to leave Emma. It could also be that August knew about the HO but was not following orders. If he knew they were after Neal, it would make sense to say don’t lead them to Emma. Then if they almost caught August after his conversation with Neal in Canada, it explains August stealing the money and heading to hide out in Phuket.

Every time I’m reminded that the Blue Fairy didn’t have her memories during the Curse, I die a little inside. *twitch*

Running from THO would explain the Phuket thing, we always assumed he went there because he’s Pinocchio and he’s not built to resist the temptations of this world, but being on the run would work too.

Has anyone tweeted Adam about Nealfire’s, “not the first” quote? If he replies to someone saying, “Ooops, we buggered that line up,” then I’ll be able to get over it. Right now, it just BUGS. Even moreso with the confirmation that that London was our world London. GAH! *headdesk*

Done! Maybe if some others tweet along with me, we’ll get an answer.
