We’ve already ready seen a reduced number of FTL flashbacks this season and taking its place has been present fairy tale land, neverland, emma’s past and even a storybrooke flashback. The episodes lacey and the evil queen where we had FTL flashbacks about Regina/Rumple/Belle toward the end of the season felt like kind of strange and repetitive, while they were enjoyable they didn’t really add anything new to the show overall. I would still like to see the odd FTL flashback in S3 but there are so many more ways they could take the show, there can only be so many times they can show us Regina was on the verge of becoming good before something pushed her over the edge!
Yes, I think FTL flashbacks are now character dependent. They can’t just give us an FTL flashback because it’s what we expect. How much more do they have to tell about each character?
Snow and Charming: we know the basic story of their relationship. We’ve seen the wedding (both of them) and the story that led up to the wedding. They could show them taking back the kingdom like they intended to show but it has to fit with the present day situation.
Regina: her childhood springs to mind, and her marriage with Leopold. But there are only so many times we can watch her try to kill Snow.
Rumple: easily the character they can do the most with in terms of FTL flashbacks. We are missing huge chunks of time, really about 200 or so years. They have a lot to play with when it comes to Rumple.
Hook: NL flashbacks are likely this season, and will probably revolve around Hook.
Belle: Maybe one flashback of her time with Regina but from I gathered of her time in QoH, she was just trapped in a cell. I do want another Rumbelle flashback like Lacey and Skin Deep. Give me the ball scene. I beg you. I need that ballroom scene.

Number one thing I want to see Dark One history. The History of all previous Dark One’s were these powers come from why they exist who was the original Dark One and how they got into the Enchanted forest.
I really want to see that as well. So many theories about how the Dark One came to be! Sadly, I think that’s a final season kind of story since it would be huge. But maybe we will get hints of it in each season.

I’m pretty excited by this after seeing the trailer. Though I noticed they used a lot of footage from the Once episodes that were in Wonderland in the trailer…interesting tactic.
I noticed that as well. For example the shot of Cora’s mask from QoH but I’m fairly certain Barbara Hershey hasn’t actually filmed anything for this show yet. Hook the fans from OUAT with images they are familiar with, I suppose.

And Colin is already a regular (his contract has already been changed) and I assume is remaining so hence his listing on the description at upfronts but if MRJ is changing his contract it may take time as we have only just had confirmation of a third season, so we may have to wait for any news on this.
I know that Sarah’s show Mixology has been benched until midseason, so that will help keep Aurora around for a small amount of time. Haven’t hear about Jamie’s.

But man! This just got me super pumped. The girl who is playing Alice…she looks phenomenal.
