I’m still vouching that Ariel is not one of the Neverland mermaids, going by what’s been hinted about her by Regina and Rumple. Regina also seemed unfamiliar with Neverland and didn’t even recognize it on the globe.
Yeah, that bothered me. If she had acknowledged NL, then we could basically call Ariel in NL canon. I still think we will see her in Mermaid Lagoon.

Regular status doesn’t mean anything, honestly; both Raphael Sbarge and Meghan Ory were in this show and they were barely used in their seasons, while Claire Holt has never been one in Vampire Diaries and she had more of a storyline than several regulars in that show. What being a regular really brings is a name in the cast credits and more or less guaranteed wage even if you’re not featured in an episode or several.
I’m hoping that with the exception of MRJ–who makes total sense in the overall story–our cast is pretty much set for future seasons. From here on out, which land we happen to be in, the new characters should be guest stars who are relevant to the main characters storyline.
I agree completely.
Before the finale aired I feared a bit they’d promote Ethan Embry to regular status for the sake of the HO storyline, but since Tamara didn’t die and they already linked the HO to a much more dense character, Peter Pan, I guess we’ve dodged that bullet.
In the way I’ve devised the story of S3 in my head, GOAT will be gone by episode 5 with a Tamara centric episode that explains why she hates magic and how she and Greg came to be recruited into THO.

KeymasterI agree with Demileto, Matt. You’re not alone. If the first half was rather slow, the second half took off like a rocket that occasionally tried to fall back into orbit (I loved S2 but there were times when I couldn’t catch my breath and then when they tried to slow down it was for an episode like S,B and T)

KeymasterRe: scheduling
At least we know Intelligence won’t be going head to head with ONCE as it makes no sense to put a show like that on at 8 on Sundays. I just hope it doesn’t go up against a heavy hitter. I can see it maybe being on Thursday? Following TBBT if they want a nice lead in. I’m excited for it though. Josh Holloway has been off my TV for far too long

KeymasterCould Belle use the hat Emma made in Hat Trick to get to FTL (after some how finding out about Neal) and then taking both of them to NL?
Ok: randomness
If Rumple bargins with a mermaid for a mirror, the other of which is in his shop he could tell Belle that Neal is still alive AFTER Aurora tells Snow in a dream in the Red Room. Rumple could ask Belle to use the hat Emma made that is in her car to go to SB and retrieve Neal (betcha Plot Device BF could power the hat) then they go to NL.

KeymasterRead over your theory a few times, and here are some of my takes
But what if PP is stuck in NL. Maybe his body can’t leave and that’s why he needs Henry. Not necessarily for his shadow but for him as a whole. But PP wants to stay young forever so he can’t just leave NL he has to have the right body to do so. Maybe Henry is the perfect vessel because he is born of true love and comes from a place with magic (FTL parents) but was conceived and born in the Land Without Magic. Therefore he has the ability to carry magic within himself and perhaps even produce magic where there isn’t any (just like Emma?).
My original thought after SSTR was that the Shadow was looking for a vessel, a host and that’s why it wanted Bae. But if Peter isn’t the Shadow and instead is a real flesh actor, how would he use Henry as a vessel unless we’re talking body swap a la Freaky Friday.
I think the Shadow is PP’s but it kind of works in reverse to a heart in that you can control your shadow to do things and say things to others. PP himself can’t leave NL so the shadow does all his dirty work for him in other realms. I think the glowy eyes means that the shadow is separated and is controlled by someone just like a ripped out heart glows. Also the shadow seems to be drawn to kids like Henry (sweet, innocent, brave, full of hope and goodness) so he lures them back to NL in hopes that it’s the right one.
I do agree that the Shadow belongs to PP and is doing his work, we just have different ideas about why.
Maybe Henry isn’t just the kid that will lead to the Dark One’s undoing but maybe he is the child that will lead to eradicating all magic. (And therefore the Dark One’s power as well.) PP has some reason to hate magic himself. Whether it’s because he was taken from his family when he was young by fairies and brought to NL or because he fell in love with a fairy (Tinkerbell) but something happened to her (or she didn’t love him back) and he blames magic or maybe he got cursed and thinks the only way to get rid of his curse is to get rid of all magic.
Does PP hate magic? It could be that the hating magic bit is just to attract recruits like GOAT. If PP can rip shadows off boys (for whatever reason) that sounds pretty magical to me.

KeymasterThe trick of S3 will be figuring out how to focus on each of the regular characters to develop them emotionally while introducing RELEVANT (no Jack’s OK!) background characters. Once they take out GOAT, they can flesh out PP, for example. Don’t give me lots of new characters that are only around for one episode just because you can.
