Initial and next day ratings for And Straight On Till Morning have been adjusted. The live +7 will be in two weeks and we should go up to about a 3.0

We went up to 7.33 million live views and a 2.3 ratings share

Very interesting theory, Gypsy. *side note: you posted this theory twice, so I’m going to go ahead and delete the extra thread, ok?)

I think Rumple did make a deal with PP, but I don’t know if it’s for finding the boy who would be his undoing. I think Peter wants Henry all to himself. I think Rumple wanted safe passage in NL to get his squid ink and in return he gave Peter something. I have no idea what..but…something?

I take this to mean that any given episode will be limited (for the most part) to one location in present day and one location in flashback. Sometimes those might both be set in the same world, which I would in particular expect for the NL stuff. Sometimes they might be in different worlds, like if we get Nealfire in FTL paralleled with his history in our world. Sometimes they might not have flashabacks at all, and have present day SB paralleled with present day NL. I think if they’re careful with it, they’ll be able to progress the storyline in the 3 different lands without overlapping too much stuff in any one ep and making it all confusing.

Yes I think we’re looking at something like this:
episode 1: present Day NL and SB, nothing else.
episode 2: present day NL, nothing else
episode three: FTL flasback and present day NL
episode four: FTL flashback and present day SB, nothing else

and so on and so forth.

I know. It’s odd because H and K keep saying there is no time travel but we’ve seen in with Jefferson and the apple and we’ve heard it from The Return episode. So they need to sort that out.

What I wonder is, if they come up with a way to communicate with someone back in Storybrooke, say Belle, how would that work if time is slower in Neverland and a long time there is a short time here?

If “time” (the ability to age at least) doesn’t move, if they exist in a bubble of sorts, then wouldn’t time continue to pass outside the “bubble” of Neverland at a regular interval? So while “time” is standing still in NL, it moves in SB. I don’t think it would cause any problems, in other worlds Rumple won’t being “calling” the past and talk to himself or something. Each lands exists in it’s own bubble where time and magic are different but they don’t affect the other. We know Neverland has days and night but you just don’t age (or at least age very slowly). Maybe instead of saying that time doesn’t pass in NL we should be saying that your own clock doesn’t tick. You don’t age even though TIME passes.

But this show isn’t your standard fairytales, it’s the story we were never told before. In this particular medium, and on this particular show where everyone we thought we knew actually has more of a back story, Blue’s plot divisiveness sticks out like a sore thumb.

I wonder if Rumple’s snark about the BF plot device situation in ASOTM was a hint that they too recognize what they’ve done and maybe plan to fix it? Because it’s starting to irritate quite a number of people. Even the actress tweeted the night of the finale something like, “I hope I’m off doing something important to save SB…” because she doesn’t appear at all when you would think the BF would be the first person to turn to.

It’s an interesting theory and I love Star Trek and we all know H and K are nerds. But they have said so many times that there is no time travel, but that time works differently in different lands. But of course, we have to account for the fact that Nealfire traveled through space and time to London, according to Rumple in the episode the Return.
If Peter is already someone we’ve met…then who?

Yes good luck! June does seem soon, but I also recall that we started getting little tiny things in July like episode titles and some BTS shots. But whenever you can do it, I look forward to the new shiny toys!

The idea that the shadow might have to do with aging is interesting. I’m still not sure I’m on board with the “Henry’s shadow is necessary for a final sacrifice” idea. I think it has to tie to the Dark One somehow.

What if it could be either Henry OR the Dark One’s shadow? And that’s Rumple’s undoing? He sacrifices his powers and “Dark One” shadow in order to save Henry. That way both Henry and Peter are his undoing.

It just occurred to me that shadows are tied to the passage of time in the sense that the angle of a shadow can tell you the time of day. So perhaps your idea of removed shadows fueling NL’s ability to prevent aging could be tied into that somehow? Obviously you don’t have to have your shadow removed in order to not age, but maybe just as long as it happens to enough people, it works for everyone?

Man, my brain is gonna be mush by the time hiatus is over and I’ve spent months pondering this stuff. 😆

Oooh. I like this adaptation to my thoughts. If Peter takes them to fuel the island so that time won’t pass (or passes very slowly, hence why he still needs to take them) then the children wouldn’t either. Then Henry’s shadow for some reason (child of true love, a child born of FTL parents in a land without magic) is like batteries that won’t ever die. It can fuel the island forever, it’s the perfect “sacrifice.”
