If anything I thought it would have been Grumpy’s or Doc’s. They’re the two most important dwarfs in Snow White, the reluctant best friend and the leader.

I still want to know how GOAT know anything. The fact that they’re working for PP is mind boggling but how is HE getting information to them? They must have an insider.

That was just …./sniff sad for Rumbelle. I did notice how much they put Belle in the color blue at the Dock though –blue nails, dress–clearly, she was infected with Blue Fairy Plot Device Sickness. Ack, it’s spreading! I kid you not, the code for that color is 0000BF. 😆 😮 😆

Thank you. This made me laugh on a morning when I don’t feel much like laughing. Stupid show with its stupid feels.

Know I am repeating myself: Happy endings come at the end of a story. So, sorry, either happy endings or some more seasons for the show, seasons where all one true love couples will go through plenty of angst and drama and being kept apart by inner or outer forces. Happy endings can be more likely found in real life than on any TV series 😉

I don’t want them to have a “happy ending” yet. But I do want them together. We got plenty of Rumbelle angst this season. It’s time to let them have some measure of happiness. Snowing got it. They reunited, were broken up, reunited and have been fine since.

I’m just thankful she was given an assignment…that means she has something to do and hopefully that means she will still be involved somehow. I love RumBelle, but my real concern is that Belle herself will drift out of the show. That would be heartbreaking to me. I can deal with Rumple and Belle being separated as long as Belle still has a place in the story.

You and I are opposites, AngieBelle. 🙂 I can handle not seeing a lot of Belle, but it’s her separation from Rumple that is killing me. My first concern has been and always will be Rumple and he needs her. He could have cast that protection spell from the boat or had literally anyone else do it as Belle herself does not have magic and therefore it doesn’t require magic. I love Belle to death but I need Rumple to be reminded that someone loves him.

My hope is that by separating them it will give them the chance to develop Belle as her own character. Many people complain that she’s only there to be Rumple’s girlfriend. Well, the position she’s in now, if she’s gonna be doing stuff, she’ll be doing it as an independent character, not as one half of a couple.

If outsiders, like THO, do manage to find SB and invade, Belle will be front and centre in the attempt to defend SB. If anything happens to SB, if they all get run out of town, then that will make it even harder for Rumple to find her again, so she’ll defend that town with everything she has if anyone comes to threaten it.

I agree that they could be doing this to expand her character which would be GREAT. But i have to question how much of SB we’ll be seeing at all with so much else going on. And wouldn’t the protection spell prevent THO from coming into SB? Isn’t that the whole reason why Belle was told to stay.

OMG I really hope we get some BF backstory that shows that there is actually something more to her! I want her to end up being diabolical, instead of a plot-device. Totally rolled my eyes over her having made the potion that popped up at just the right time, but on the plus side, it gave us Dwarves invading Gold’s shop to get their stuff back, it gave us a callback to Belle and Grumpy being old friends, and it led to the return of Chip. So it wasn’t all bad.

HOROWITZ: At the end of season 2, we’ve placed our core group in a very difficult situation. Some of them are on the boat; some of them are behind in Storybrooke; some of them are in another land. So the question is, how do we best continue telling their stories? Sometimes that will require flashbacks; sometimes it won’t. We want to continue to expand the storytelling modality of the show, like we did in season 2, where we were able to do things like flash back to Emma for the first time, or see time during the curse.

While keeping Belle in SB hurt from a ship standpoint, it also makes no sense in regards to how they want to tell the story next season. The ratings hurt the first half of this season because people (causal viewers) could keep up with all the lands and timelines. And now we have:
FTL of the past
FTL of the present with Neal and MAP
NL of the past
NL of the present
SB of the present

I just don’t know how they intend to do all this. This season was really ambitious and at time uneven. Going into last night I thought they’d be refocusing to just NL with the entire core cast (of which Belle is one member, she’s a regular just like Hook and he found himself on that boat last night, despite not being a CharmingStiltskin).

All valid points, Nonnie. Thanks for making them. I just hope the separation doesn’t last long because honestly, we deserve some measure of happiness after S2 kept them apart for so long.

Emma calling Snow and Charming Mom and Dad topped any other lines from this episode. That was phenomenal.

Other favorites:
–“I will see you again” from Belle. I have to believe in this right now.
–“The boy is my undoing but he is also my grandson.” –Rumple. I knew I could believe in you. I knew you wouldn’t let me down.
–“Let me die as Regina.”–I normally do not have feelings about Regina but wow. That was intense.

Charming punched Hook. I approve. (sorry, Hookers but I went back and forth and back and forth about him tonight.)

If NL is a tropical island, he is going to need to lose the limp and the suits, making him be full on Dark One makes the most sense to explain that.

I’ve come up with a rationalization that is equally stupid as any other one but here goes:

Rumple is going to a land with magic where he’ll probably be the Dark One again. They can’t have him be the Dark One and have his true love because it would mean no smoochie time and the Rumbellers would be upset.

Granted, we’re upset right now. But that’s the only thing I got.

I adore you. I truly do. I loved every second of this finale until you decided to destroy my insides. Please fix this. Don’t make me wait until the second half of S3 for a reunion.
