Actually, they did. It was the BF who discovered how to restore Belle and Sneezy’s memories by using hair from Pinocchio. 😆
RIGHT. But why can’t she do the protection spell or whatever that Belle is now in charge of? Belle doesn’t do magic. So leave the spell with the BF who is the most powerful magic in the land. This is just an excuse to not have them together.

I’m not so sure that this is a “plot device”. While the other main characters are off to Neverland/FTL, I see a much larger role for Belle and Grumpy, becoming the leaders of the remaining Storybrooke residents.
But the BF could have done it. Which makes much more sense seeing as the BF is the most powerful magic in the land and Belle has never done magic.

I was just saying this over in the favorite parts thread. I am so upset. WHY?! She’s always a plot device but no this one time, they keep Belle behind. It’s just away to divide the couple. And it’s terrible. They were apart for most of the season. I am just a wreck right now.

I think Peter Pan also caught a glimpse of the future, which is why he has Henry’s picture. Perhaps he knows about the prophesy that Henry would be the Dark One’s undoing. Henry could be the key to taking the powers of the Dark One. Or Henry could become the next Peter Pan.
That’s true. The Rumple prophecy wasn’t really addressed tonight.
