Ooooh I like the idea that Ursula is holding them hostage or something of the like. This new potential twist makes me more excited to see Ariel than ever.

I agree. Maybe Ursula killed Trident and Ariel was supposed to be next in line but Ursula usurped the throne and is now holding Ariel and her sisters hostage.

The curse of the mermaids is an interesting way to put it. I think that if the mermaids were evil then Hook would have said the wrath of the mermaids or something of the like. It sounds like the mermaids themselves are cursed somehow and could and would have spread it to Bae. Maybe Ariel will break the curse so all of the mermaids can be human too? I don’t know but I am so geared up for this episode that I can’t hardly stand it.

Yes the “curse” of the mermaids is an interesting way to phrase it. Maybe they are being held hostage by Ursula like the boys are being held by the Shadow on the island. Maybe Ursula and the Shadow are in league with each other.

Can we please discuss this curse of the mermaids that Hook saved Baelfire from? These must be vicious mermaids after all, like the ones who drown sailors in POTC 4.

I agree. Bad mermaids. I wonder if the mermaids are divided in factions. Ariel and her sisters are the good mermaids but there was a rebellion by bad mermaids who now rule the underwater kingdom and have some sort of curse they placed in the water.

Yes, please let this be Rumple’s wake-up call. Though I feel strong that Regina, Emma, and Hook are going to be the ones to save the day. Could be wrong about that though.

    You’re not wrong. *rocks self*

    Fear of death probably.

Yes, in the first sneak peek released at the end of last weeks episode, Tamara did say that none of Hook’s kind would survive the fail safe. That has to be a wake up call.

Daddy Rumple! At least he is realizing the error of his way. Now I will go crawl into bed and sob.

But Gold! *sobs* He’s lost everything now, or thinks he has…he needs Belle to give him hope. She’s gone and Bae’s gone and he blames himself for all of it

    *passes out cookies*

It’s like an epiphany for him. He thought he needed magic so bad that in the end it cost him his son…AGAIN. And he’s willing to sacrifice himself for this folly.

I cant even. I’m not going to survive this.

Oh goodness…Mr. Gold has me almost in tears!

Yes, I was crying. But I maintain that after this scene he goes back to his shop and tells Lacey about Bae and then makes a deceleration that he won’t fight the prophecy and he can’t be with Lacey anymore and hes accepted his death. Then Belle comes back and they reunite and she convinces him to help out because there IS good in him.

As to the other sneak peeks:
Hook and Bae! Hook totally figures out who Bae is! Excitement!

Hook is helping Charming. Man, what changed his mind?!

Thanks for sharing, I was right about Gold not helping because of his son. 🙂

I will bet you 5million cookies he changes his mind once he gets Belle back and he realizes that he has to fight his inner sadness and darkness.

*I’ll be over here in this corner screaming at Rumplestiltskin*

Oh my Gold. Oh my Gold. Sweetie, go talk to Belle. Go get her back and then realize that you HAVE TO SAVE EVERYONE.

I just want to hug him. He’s so sad. I just…ugh. I can’t handle this. I’m not going to survive the finale.

Someone give RC an award already.

Nielsen are changing their system, they are already running tests in collaboration with Twitter, and from Fall 2013 numbers for the “Nielsen Twitter TV Rating” will be available. It’s though only an enhancement of the classical TV viewer ratings, because it still is focused on live airing.

So here’s my question. Every Monday I wait for tvbythenumbers to put out the overnight’s for ONCE to post here. Once Nielsen changes over to this new model, which (in my opinion) finally includes stuff like Twitter, how will this change what I view for the overnights? Am I going to get to different sets of ratings: Twitter and non-Twitter?

Also, I’m not sure if older generations watch “more” TV than the younger generations. I’m 26 and I can assure you that my generation watches an unholy amount of TV and the TV that is the most successful either in ratings or in cult following are the ones watched by the 18-50 yr olds (everything from the teenage show Pretty Little Liars, which never fails to trend on Twitter the night it airs, to British cult sci-fi Doctor Who, even to Once). My generation and the ones below me watch a crazy amount of TV and we also talk about it more and are more likely to purchase the merch, which is why Nielsen is “changing” the way it does things (change is in quotations b/c it sounds like’s only changing every so slightly. It’s not that the over 50s don’t count but I think it’s a stretch to say they watch more TV.) But Myril is right, it’s about money and it’s about advertisement. My mom and I may watch the same amount (hours) of TV every day but we watch radically different things. She’s content with the cooking channel and watches very little network TV, but I watch mostly network TV which is where advertisers go to promote their goods. Most TV shows are designed to sell to the 18-50 age group, but again that’s the money/advertising issue.

So grab your towl, drink a cup of Earl Grey and … Don’t Panic! 😎

I always know where my towel is. Ford would be very disappointed in me if I didn’t.

    Thanks for the overview.
