I’m amused by the idea of David punching Gold in the face and kinda want to see it now.
You manipulated my wife!! *punch*
I can see Rumple stopping it though, freezing Charming or something.

KeymasterBack to ratings: hopefully having a chance to live-tweet with some of the cast and writers draws in ratings. I know I rewatched the DVR when the west coast aired just to see what they were saying (and the actors are fun to watch interact, even on twitter) in order to make sense of their comments so that hopefully helped with not only live-viewing but DVR numbers as well (at least for those who saw it in earlier time zones). I haven’t seen adjusted numbers for this episode but I really hope that was the case
Adjusted numbers: http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2013/03/12/sunday-final-ratings-once-upon-a-time-family-guy-celebrity-apprentice-red-widow-adjusted-down/173020/
We’re now tied with Amazing Race in ratings share, even if they had more viewers than us, but our viewership did go up from last week. By this time next week, taking the 7 day views into account, the total viewership should be about 10 million and we’ll probably get at least 2.8 in ratings share. I can us getting a boast with this next episode too since deaths tends to draw in viewers, they want to see what happens next.

Are we so sure all of the “good” characters would be so against what Snow and Rumple did? Cora wanted to kill everyone..she was a serious danger to the town. She was a far worst threat than allowing Rumple to live at this point ever would be. I don’t think Bae or Emma could blame Rumple for trying to save his own life. Charming knows Snow had that dark side in her- I don’t think even he would put all the responsibility on Rumple. Will Snow White even bring up that Rumple nudged her towards the candle? She is turning all the blame inward.
I think the only people who is going to blame Snow White for what happened to Cora is Regina and Snow White. Snow is going to think the worse of herself. And even if Emma and the gang learn what Snow did, which I think they will because Snow and Charming don’t keep things from others, they won’t care. They’ll see that Cora had to die and if hadn’t been Snow/Regina then it would have been someone else. I can see Emma blaming Rumple for manipulating Snow, but I think their major concern is going to be protecting Snow from Regina.

KeymasterHmmm. I don’t think so. It was on quite a few boards when it happened about two weeks ago. And many people here are also on Twitter so they saw it.

KeymasterI think that is an excellent point, and I, personally, dont see Rumple as a coward. He thinks he is because that idea has been reinforced into him by society and Milah in particular. If you continually tell a person they are a coward, eventually they will probably start to believe it, especially if they are predisposed to believe it (Rumple was haunted by his father’s actions as a coward and it followed him all his life). I think it actually took a lot of bravery to run away from the battlefield, for instance and to go to a Pirate ship and ask for his wife back. But Rumple thinks he is a coward and he doesn’t want his son to know that. That’s why the “kiss my boot” is such a terrible moment for him. It reinforces that he is a coward not only to himself but to Bae. Rumple will do many things to avoid being seen as a coward by anyone. So while we as viewers maybe don’t see him as a coward, he himself does. So he lied to Bae because he didn’t want his son to see him in that light.

I know if I were in their shoes I’d be afraid to answer anything for fear of killing somebody’s theory or giving them something to read into that doesn’t mean anything. Live-tweets are great for getting buzz and interacting with various cast members and writers but they can occasionally be instant theory-killers. It’s a double-edged sword. Hopefully it helped in the ratings though.
Any examples in particular of cast members killing theories via twitter? The only one I can think of is when Jane Espenson constantly confirmed that Rumple wasn’t Regina’s father, and she did so because the end of the episode was supposed to kill off that theory. Several people were simply confused.
Oh yea. I tweeted Adam and asked if Blue had her memories during the curse years and he said that she didn’t. It killed SO MANY Blue Fairy as the puppet Master theories.

KeymasterAt Paley fest Adam and Eddy said “we will be going to a new land” which implies an actual moving to another land
I think Neverland will be both a flashback (Hook’s story most likely) and that we’re going there. I can’t see them killing Hook anymore, not after they announced the season finale titles. He’s going to be super important in season three and given Colin’s popularity, I don’t know if they want to risk that.

The whole Snow killed Cora situation could’ve been completely avoided if Cora had just transported the Charmings plus Bae away to the forest like she did Emma and Neal later on. She would have then just been able to walk up to Rumple and stab him, he wasn’t going anywhere.
That’s very true, however not very good storytelling. Bad guys always have the upper hand in most situations but always manage to lose because you can’t have the bad guy win all the time. You need good to win. Especially in a show built around fairy tales and the notion that “good wins.” It’s called suspension of disbelief. Cora and Regina could have walked into Gold’s shop and instantly killed everyone, but of course they aren’t going to do that because this is TV.

KeymasterTheir tweeting was nice and sometimes funny, but it wasn’t like they gave insight into the episode apart from the fact that it was cold on the dock (though when I saw that Emile tweeted “that’s my boyfriend” during a Rumple scene I think my insides turned to soup). It was, so far, the biggest episode of the season and ABC wanted to really to sell it so the cast helped out. I’m not sure if live tweeting would help every episode. I was so focused on the show that I didn’t even check Twitter until after the west coast show because I was on the these forums hashing out what had happened. It’s also the reason Adam doesn’t respond to every tweet question sent his way. Like LOST they want us to figure stuff out too, they know it’s part of the fun.

KeymasterThey may not have Hook try to kill Peter Pan. If Neal is in fact NealFire Pan, it’s possible that Hook and he had a good relationship not the one we know from film and books. The feud between Hook and Pan could be very recent. You could theorize (and some are) that Hook was a kind of father figure to Bae who he knew as Peter Pan in Neverland. When Bae (or Hook) finally found out the identity of the other (that Peter is really Milah and Rumple’s son or that Hook is really the pirate Milah ran off with) that could lead to complications in their relationship. Right now, all we now is that Bae and Hook know each other, but we know nothing about their relationship. It would be a major blow to Rumple to learn that the man who keeps trying to kill him raised and cared for his son.
