As I said before, the worst possible scenario is that it does so low, ABC doesn’t let it finish its run.

If that happens, I’ll be homicidal. Just let it finish. Please just let it finish.

But honestly, I almost feel sorry for them. At this stage, it’s unlikely that OUAT can ever get back Season 1 quality — or even S2 or S3A, no matter how much A&E like to promise a “return to Season 1 feel”. They’ve screwed up OUAT too much for it to be recuperable.

I can’t feel pity. I’m still too angry.

However, if this is a way to bring Neal back permanently, and get rid of Hook for good, this would be amazing I think.

Yes, because the fandom will certainly be thrilled and there will be no fighting, no anger, no hatred directed toward MRJ on Twitter, toward SF shippers (who already get an unfair amount of hatred for daring to not like Hook and CS); because it won’t lead to more holes in their story, to more inconsistency, to more wonky narrative, to more retcons and more absolute silliness. Even if they don’t go the route some are predicting by having MRJ come back even briefly I am well within my right to scorn them for messing up their beautiful poetic story in the first place because 96% of the time I don’t know what I’m even watching. But it’s not OUAT and any attempts to try and return to something that was is laughable at best and rage inducing at worst because we all know it won’t stick.

I saw someone posting a interesting theory about this online, the person was saying that this is the music name, that probably was used in 319 when Neal send the warning to Hook and that Mark keeps re- using old songs from past seasons, since no more soundtracks from the show were released, so this is just the song name, because Mark would not change the song title ,

Yes I was thinking something along the same lines. We know that Mark reuses music and musical cues during certain scenes (the Evil Queen’s menacing music, the Rumbelle music); little hints that that invoke the past. It’s very possible that Mark is just reusing some music and his hand was slapped (by A and E or by ABC) not because MRJ is actually coming back (or because they are going to use Neal again) but because showing that picture on Instagram makes it LOOK like they are going to and that causes an uproar.

Real Ursula lived hundreds/thousands of years before Regina impersonated her and used the statue to teach Regina a lesson because she was annoyed that Regina impersonated her so real Ursula exists as a real deity/god in some form.

And we’ve never met anyone else who’s lived beyond the typical mortal span of years or been able to use magics and objects to trick others?

Robbie is there and he is on NBC

There’s a difference though. Robbie was done with Heroes Reborn when he shot for OUAT, or near enough that it didn’t matter. GOS hasn’t even aired yet and NBC is just now going to start ramping up their hype for it. Also, Heroes Reborn was sold as a one-off continuation of a franchise that everyone knew wasn’t really getting a second season or anything therefore Robbie is not tied to NBC for anything other than the 13 episode Heroes Reborn arc.

I have no idea why anyone would think this is nice. Yeah, it’s bait, but of the worst cruel kind. So Neal’s true love and Neal’s father and Neal’s son just so happen to run into him in the Underworld and then what–leave him there? Are just like “hey thanks for the warning, we gotta go save a pirate who we deem more important than you?” Why does that make any sense? Why is that nice? Are you simply satisfied with a brief glimpse of a character so viciously taken from us? Because if that’s all you need, then go watch Manhattan or Second Star to the Right or Ariel. Malarkey. This isn’t nice. It’s cruel. It’s not about having any kinds of hope dashed because I’ve never had any but I wanted MRJ to stay away from this travesty of a show that treated him and his character so appallingly; that wasted every single chance it had with the poetic story of Neal and Emma, Neal and Rumple, and Neal and Henry. That threw away all its heart for a pirate in eyeliner. This is just a way for A and E to say “see! We remember Neal!” and pat themselves on the back for ingenuity, never mind how hurtful, malicious, and morally repugnant it is to the fans and to the narrative.

In other news: we’re getting lax about spoiler in this thread lately. Tag them, guys. Images, discussion, whatever.

Would NBC even be willing to let MRJ do this? Yes, yes, yes I know that we’ve gotten other cable actors to come over temporarily (like Walsh) but NBC and ABC are direct, blood thirsty competition. I’m still thinking voiceover of some sort.

    Ring guess:

Belonged to the Sea Captain we got a casting calling for. Liam took the ring off the Captain after he and Hook overthrew the Captain who was not a good captain (very “Bounty”). Liam gave Hook the ring at some point as a symbol that Hook would be captain someday. At some point the Brothers learned that the ring was enchanted by a (surprise!) Hades to keep the wearer alive.

Liam 2.0 will never be heard from ever again. He is in the Orphanage on Forgotten Character Island with the Lost Boys.
