KeymasterOk, I don’t have the mental or emotional capacity to write a coherent commentary on this thing we just watched… But the only explanation that makes sense to me is that Henry faked breaking the pen back in Season 4, and in fact sold it on Ebay.
My current theory is that Adam and Eddy were kidnapped at the end of S3A and the show has been written by monkeys since.

KeymasterThat was, without a doubt, the most pointless episode of OUAT I’ve ever seen. It was not offensively bad (like, say, Quiet Minds or The Broken Kingdom) but it literally had nothing to do with our arc and current storyline. I care next to nothing about Merida and her problems and to suddenly throw in characters we haven’t seen in years just for reasons is beyond stupid. Pointless, boring and utter filler.
Also, LGBT? What LGBT? Where was it? Was I supposed to read Mulan and Ruby as entering into a relationship?
Also. Magic Beans. NOPE

KeymasterI’m so angry that I’m not even paying attention to “The Bear King” (but from I gather, it’s terrible)
Emma simply can’t let Hook die. The father of her child, yes. The guy she’s been dating for a hot second…NOPE.

KeymasterHook is totally going to absorb Emma’s darkness before he dies, ending the Dark One story and sending him to the Underworld for 5B
Yup.

KeymasterIf you look to your left, you’ll see all of OUAT’s mythology laying by the side of the road.
What a mess. So we can have two Dark Ones? When a current Dark One holds a sword over them and thinks really hard? Even if it means that the darkness multiplies? What?
I don’t know. This episode answered questions but the answers were horrible and weird and made Emma’s hero journey all about a guy, which I find offensive on many levels.
LIKED
–Belle with the crossbow
–Regina and Emma’s conversation in Camelot
–Emma and Merlin’s light/magic battle
–Cute baby
–Dr. Whale, who is really Blaine from iZombie (a far better character and, frankly, show)
–Zelena’s sass
DISLIKED
–Emma simply cannot let Hook die! The father of her child, yes. The guy she’s been dating for a hot second, no. Never mind that it will turn her dark and multiply the Darkness
–Emma doesn’t want to give up the darkness because of a fear of commitment
–Operation Light Swan. Moving fast much?
–Hook is the Another Dark One!? So long, carefully laid mythos.
–Hook never showed any signs of having the Darkness in him. Where were the voices? He really never felt the Darkness inside? He never realized he had powers?
–It’s apparently mandated that everyone must keep wearing the same clothes in Camelot day in and day out.
–Hook apparently kept trophies of all his kills. Sociopaths do that. Not men who are one half of a story being pushed on us as an all time great love story.
–Charming: her name is SNOW WHITE not Mary Margaret. GAH.
This season really stopped making any sort of sense.

KeymasterWR, I need tables. Many of them.

KeymasterYeah, why did Merlin’s mansion suddenly appear if he was a tree for the past centuries? They made it seem like the sorcerer was in town or something and yet…nothing.
and when did Merlin even GET that mansion?! Wasn’t he living/working out of his Tower; the tower that is still standing in Camelot?

KeymasterSo I’m guessing the Apprentice was using the magical mushroom method to communicate with Merlin this entire time. He was chosen by Merlin, after all.
Sure. Why not. I mean the mushroom only came into existence this season, has never been mentioned ever before this season and Merlin lift a voicemail sans blue smoke, but I guess that Magical McGuffin works as an explanation.
Now explain the hat.

KeymasterLOL
No but seriously. What did the Apprentice do when Merlin was tree’d? Did he have visions in which Merlin told him what to do? How did he live so long? Why did he start to age? And WHERE ON GOD’S GREEN EARTH DID THAT HAT/HAT ROOM COME FROM?! AND WHY WAS MERLIN BLUE SMOKE?!
*twitch*

KeymasterIs it wrong to think that, if we can’t have Nealfire, monkey man Walsh would be preferable to Hook as a romantic partner for Emma? Up until he monkeyfied, Walsh was actually a decent guy.
I ship Emma with Not Hook. I don’t care if it’s a monkey, Regina, single motherhood or a jar of mayo. Literally. A JAR OF MAYO. So long as it’s Not Hook, I couldn’t care less.
