Could? Yes. In this show, absolutely. Daniel brought it up in the podcast last night–this very ideas–and my response was that I hoped not only because it’s so in line with Arthurian mythology and given that they’ve dismantled a lot of the mythos already, I’d like there to be something that feels…original and not just in name only (ie: having Arthur, Merlin, Guinevere and Lance)

Which is why I don’t think Emma’s plan is going to succeed. She’s going about it in the wrong fashion. So, Rumple won’t be able to pull that sword from the stone because how Emma trained (through Merida) Rumple to be a hero is not really what heroism is.

But it hasn’t happened, largely through Arthur’s own obsession with wanting to fix Excalibur, which in his mind must be mended before he can be king. In reality, Arthur should have been putting in the work of fixing the Kingdom, whole Excalibur or no. Humans, by nature, like to blame other people for their problems. Arthur blames Merlin for having lied to him, when really Arthur is to blame for becoming to myopically focused. It’s nothing to do with magic; it’s simple human nature.

Co leads means there are two characters/actors sharing in all the heavy lifting, that the story requires that both of them have as much narrative pull as the other.

Those are characters that are co-leads.
OUAT is not a co-lead show. There are some actors that get more screen time (Emma, Regina, Hook) but the show is not billed a single lead with a supporting cast (House, Arrow) nor as a co-lead (Bones, Sleepy Hollow, Castle, Blacklist, Supernatural) but as an ensemble show (Grey’s, HTGAWM, TBBT, Chicago Fire)

the sneak gave me a lot of feelings but the script tease pissed me off. so im at a nice even keel for Sunday, I guess? Adam tweeted that one delibertly. It’s a very brief mention of Neal (that is wrong and doesn’t make sense given who is speaking and to whom he is speaking) but the quickly does a thing so that you know this is not about Neal! Got it, audience. Not about him! This is something utterly different! pay attention to new shiny

I don’t see him going back to being the Dark One, when it seems pretty clear that this Season is all about destroying the Dark One curse once and for all.
