KeymasterSo Hades is not a spoiler at this point? Just really likely speculation? SFG
Correct. There is no confirmation of Hades in S5B at all; he’s just speculation largely based on 502; however if you include any interviews from A and E that point you to believing Hades is coming, then those are spoilers and need to be blacked out. (Or I’ll just move your entire thread if I think it’s going to become spoiler heavy and to avoid lots of black boxes.

KeymasterLOL, got it!
I want to post a thread for my question about a connection between the underworld and the room of fire. Where should I put it, Gen season 5 spoilers?
SFGYes or just Gen 5 Disc. I’ll move it if I have to

KeymasterShe looks quite a bit different, yeah. Her face makeup isn’t as pale and inhuman (Borg Queen like) on TV

KeymasterAs usual more thoughts here
But on the whole, this episode was just so freaking good.
LIKED
–Everything?!
–But no really….this episode was hilarious. I was laughing like 95% of the time. The Doctor and his yo-yo were really great. They have taken pains this season to show him in a softer light and it turns out that he has quite a bizarre sense of humor.
–The Doctor reversed the polarity of the neutron flow. YAAAAAAAAS 3rd Doctor references.
–Really great acting from Capaldi this week. He is becoming a lot more comfortable in the role of the Doctor and making it his own.
–The Doctor did the heavy lifting again!!
–The conversations between the Doctor and Clara in which she just listens and encourages and tells him that he’ll “find it” (solution) were spot on. Also, the conversation about the Doctor always losing people and running so that the pain never catches up…perfect. Just absolutely perfect.
–I am the Doctor! And I save people!! (I may have wildly applauded)
–Maisie did a great job.
–The Doctor giving all the Vikings stupid nicknames
DISLIKED
–Nothing much! One quibble: the final moment of the full camera spin while we stay on Ashildr was cheesy but honestly it’s such a minor quibble that I’m not really bothered at all.

KeymasterPhenomenal. Absolutely phenomenal. That was one of the best DW episodes I’ve seen in about two year.
I’ll have more to say later, but 905 gets my favorite episode of the season award.
906 trailer!

KeymasterActually those were MRJ’s words that he gave in the exit interview via Twitter. I think he meant “bold” in an ironic sort of way.
You’re right. My bad. However, A and E’s language does reflect a lot of those same feelings.
ltimately RG is right, the only thing that matters to that crowd is the bottom line. They sure as heck aren’t in it for the art — or even for the “great entertainment.
Imma quote myself from my review and final thought on S4A (Frozen) which basically sums up how I felt then, feel now,and goes with what you’re saying
I do want to talk about one thing and that is: why we don’t let mega corporations run art. They have different agendas. No one will deny (and certainly not me) that TV is also a business that requires cold hard cash. But mega coprs, a la the Great Mouse, don’t care about art for the sake of art. They care about their bottom line. If anyone really thinks Disney isn’t calling the shots now on ONCE, let me tell you this: guess what comes out of the Disney vault in February, a month before ONCE returns for 4B? Yes, 101 Dalmatians. Is it any wonder why Cruella is showing up now? It’s marketing. It’s all clever marketing where the two–ONCE and Disney–play off each other. It’s very “you scratch our back, and we’ll scratch yours.” There is no heart to this show anymore; well not substantial heart anyway. It’s all about the big shiny object to play with until the writers get bored and move on. While I like the 11 episode arc structure because it does give me a long break, it’s killing the emotional center of this show. Why bother getting invested? Why bother theorizing when the writers use not-so-clever magical handwaving to wrap up the story in ways that the audience never saw coming? What’s the point of getting involved in Anna and Elsa when a magical wishing star reunites them and a magical door takes them home (where apparently they defeat the invaders of Hans and his brothers in like a day…?) Adam and Eddy don’t care about storytelling anymore; they care about product. They aren’t mutually exclusive, but once upon a time (more word puns!) they cared about one more than the other.

KeymasterThe one in which Emma Swan dies.
Yup that.
For your Supernatural fans, Swan Song is the s5 finale where…someone…goes to the Underworld.
Oh and the series finale will absolutely be Happily Ever After
Yeah, my bet is “Happily Ever After” or even the ubiquitous “The End”.
The End was actually LOST’s finale.

KeymasterMaybe or maybe not, bc they are not known for keeping with their plans and A&E said at NYCC that they thought about doing Dark one Emma only during the S3 finale,
Well I think that means they finally figured out *how* to make Emma go dark, not that they thought about her going dark in general.
I know I say it a lot but one more time for the cheap seats in the back: monomyth.
I think they always wanted to have Emma be tempted by the dark/go dark/go on her introspective katabasis in order to become a fully realized Savior but the question was how to get there logically. (whether or not it was logical I won’t go into…but for A and E it was).
But, not for the time in the past years, I wish I was a fly on the wall in the writers room.
