KeymasterWith any luck, Emma will save herself with her own true love magic the way she did in 3×22 after thinking about Neal and his definition of home. But, with these writers, it could go in any direction. It really could.
It really could. And most likely it will go in a direction none of us want it to go…

KeymasterAre they in Fairy Tale Land? Or is Camelot a realm of it’s own? Because surely Arthur and Camelot would have heard of the Evil Queen, who was declared one of the most fearsome villains, second only to the Dark One….surely they would have known Regina wasn’t the Savior!!!!
Well according to one interview, Camelot and The EF are just a horse ride away (but then again they said the same about Arrendale which…no)
ETA: also, in the graphic novel of last year Camelot was its own realm and Jefferson had to go through the hat to get there.
So yeah. There’s that.

KeymasterHenry got his first crush, the young maid Violet. Reactions to this new relationship? Is it too early for Henry or just right? Will they bond over music and being in this world? Could they be true love or is it just a passing phase of puppy love?
I think it’s puppy love. But, I just wish Henry could just get some actual friends his own age before he starts dating. After all, he is only 12 or 13. Whatever happened to his friends from New York City that he supposedly made during the missing year? Whatever happened to Page, Hansel and Gretel?
They’re in the bathroom AKA: forgotten character island.

KeymasterA few people here said that the Fury looked a lot like Ryuk from the anime “Death Note.” Well, Ryuk is a shinigami, which in short are the Grim Reapers in Japanese mythology. The Fury was literally trying to have Robin Hood sent to the Underworld. So perhaps someone at OUAT is a Death Note fan, and the resemblance was intentional.
Possibly! The resemblance is there. The depiction does line up with some Greek myths of the Furies that have them as black bodied, winged and red-eyed.

KeymasterOkay, we already knew about the second half but I don’t like this “it may be…” business. It screams that the writers don’t actually have a plan or an idea. Don’t create a mystery if you aren’t 99.9% sure that you’re going to resolve it.

KeymasterDoes Emma still possess light magic though? Based on her reaction to her own magic in Episode 2, I’m inclined to believe that the Dark One Curse wiped out all of her light magic, and now all she possesses is dark magic….which makes me so confused because she’s still the incarnation of True Love.
Look at the color of magic Emma uses when she heals Robin, though. It’s bright white/yellow. That’s how all light magic has been depicted, including Emma’s own as recent as S4. Now that could just be some sort of editing snafu, but it’s visually confusing.
Here I took a screenshot

KeymasterOh I totes agree with everything you say, Slurpeez. I just question whether or not it’s intentional from the writers. This episode was full of contradictions from last week.
Example
Last week: Hook says that giving into the Darkness must be Emma’s choice; neither he nor Snow nor Regina can make it for her.
This week: Hook is all hot and bothered that they are wasting time on a ball because you never know when Emma will go dark and when Regina begs for Emma’s help for Robin, Hook’s response is that they CANT let her use dark magic.
The two ideas don’t link up. Now, it could be deliberate, or…it’s another case of the writers not talking to each other/having a clear plot line/understanding their own story.

KeymasterBut Emma was already able to use her light magic to heal people (Emma healed her mother in 4×21 when Lily accidentally hurt Snow). So why on earth would Emma want to keep the dark power to heal people when she already had the ability to heal with light magic???
I forgot about the Snow-healing back in S4. But…consistency. Not a thing on this show.
So, Emma shouldn’t have had the same motivation to keep the dark magic as did Rumple, since she already has all the white magic.
I said this last week in a thread, but I think Emma is playing a long con. She’s manipulating everyone and everything so that they will team up and beat the darkness out of her but she can’t interfere or do anything directly to help them. I think I said it’s liking working with the enemy in order to take said enemy down
