KeymasterThat was a copy. The real book was the one with the Black and White cover.
Okay. But the black and white one still exists. We saw it sitting next to the OUAT one. So if the book exists then it means everything happened.

KeymasterAnd doesn’t that mean that no story can ever be recorded ever again?

KeymasterI believe that the AU happened–in as much as the last chapter happened as we saw it. The rest of the AU is like a third set of memories (or fourth, some people have a lot going on in their heads now), but never really happened
Well that’s just convenient. So nothing happened except the part that essentially erased the rest of the AU? How does that work? That’s just a slippery slope. If the AU didn’t happen then it means that the erasing of it didn’t happen either which means the whole AU happened! Either none of it happened (but somehow they have memories of it happening) or all of it happened.

KeymasterWell we did literally see that the author can write people to other realms. He sent the whole of SB to his AU EF (except Henry of course). So I think it follow that Isaac could just write “Isaac appears in the fictional 1920s London” and he’s appear.

KeymasterIgnore the source….but what the writer is saying is pretty important.

KeymasterBut it’s not like he has any special powers, though.
Isaac could travel between realms somehow. This is a great power. I wonder if Henry will have this ability? Could he take them all back to the Enchanted Forest? Will he himself have to travel to EF, Wonderland, Scary Black and White land, Oz, etc to record their stories?
I think Isaac wrote himself to other realms. If true, Henry is unable to do that since he snapped the Quill.

KeymasterAnd every time he’s done it, it was because he was afraid–afraid of being unable to protect himself and losing his son/Belle, afraid of something worse happening.
Except in S4 when they gave him no motivation except the ones fans are ascribing to him in their own heads because on screen it was all about “must have all the power for reasons!” It wasn’t to bring back Nealfire; it wasn’t to keep Belle; it wasn’t because Ingrid was threatening him and his family (in fact Rumple made a deal with her to spare those he cares about the most) it was because “he’s the devil himself” according to Eddy.

KeymasterI think he’ll still have that selfish/greedy streak in him, though.
Having a selfish/greedy streak is one thing. Even Regina still flirts with the darkness and greedy nature herself. But it’s acting on those inner tendencies that will drive me up a wall if they make him power hungry devil man again.

KeymasterIf Rumple wakes up from his magically induced hat sucking coma and all he wants to do is regain all his power, I am 100% done with his character. He CANT DO THIS again; not after his talk with Belle on the pawn shop floor.
It would be consistent with everything he’s done in the past. He’s chosen power over his son, he’s chosen power over his true love. When he was living in New York without power, the only thing he did was plot to get his power back. He definitely does not do well without power.
So everyone gets character development except Rumple? He doesn’t get to have breakthroughs like the one he seemed on the verge of in the pawn shop in 422 and then go straight back to “all the power!” the next moment without me calling shenanigans on the writers. It’s time. They have written themselves into a corner with him and his development in S4 (in that he became something that was Not!Rumple because while he’s always wanted power he has always had a very human side with his desire for love and family and acceptance) and if they just take him further down then there is no coming back. Either they want to redeem him and make him human and interesting or they want their cliche black hat for no other reason than they find goodness boring (see: Snow White and Prince Charming post S1)
