That was definitely Belle’s heart. The scene was cut to leave it ambiguous as to whether or not Belle gave her consent for Regina to take her heart.

Agreed. It’s the consent part that is left open (which was really really dumb)

I think Daniel is Henry’s middle name and the fact that Regina used his middle name was the signal. It’s the whole middle name rule.

Daniel is his middle name, for sure. What other name would it be?? I agree with you here.

I agree. Emma protecting her child was heroic. The entire platitude that “heroes don’t kill” is empty and devoid of truth. What about everyday heroes who have to make life-and-death decisions to keep civilians safe from psychopaths who would harm innocent people? The police and the military make the difficult decisions so that private citizen can feel secure to walk on the street. Emma is a police woman, and as such, she upheld her duty to save a child (her child) from a hostage situation. She didn’t know Cruella was defenseless. All Emma knew in the heat of the moment was that a deranged woman was holding a gun at her son and threatening to shoot. Emma acted under pressure to rescue Henry. I dislike the writers’ attempt to twist an act of heroism of a mother saving her child into something dark and twisted, because it isn’t. Emma should be honored with a medal of valor, not branded a villain for something that most society would deem heroic.

    Yup that.

Also, pretty sure this series had an episode in which Charming killed several guards who were sent after his newly born daughter, with every intention of killing her. We don’t label him a monster and say that he might go evil. Golly, what episode was that? Oh right. Pilot.

“You don’t have to worry about me” means “we should all worry about Emma”

I think it’s just squid ink, not blood. That is why Ursula was introduced: squid ink is needed for the plot.

But Ursula has already gone and it doesn’t look like she’ll be back. Is she set to come back in any other episodes?

She can give the ink to the heroes without actually appearing. Off-Stagevill is a thing on OUAT

It’d be pretty dark if the story has to be written in evil blood. If it’s the case though, I would assume that that’s just a specific type of “ink” needed if you want to alter the story, and other writers had used more innocent ink to write the stories when they were just recording what happened.

Who’s blood have they been using prior to think, if Ink = Bloody?

@PriceofMagic made a great point in another thread. The writers likely see mental illness as easier because it requires less fleshing out. They had three villains this season. They obviously wanted to focus more on Mal and her story with Lily, so Ursula’s backstory explained her villainy by using a story we already know (The Little Mermaid) and Cruella’s story came down to mental illness. One is simple and already known and the other needs little explanation. I still found Cruella’s story entertaining and a good twist on the typical ONCE take on villains, but I do understand why there is a bit of line being crossed given Cruella’s end.
