ParticipantI think where Regina took Jefferson was further underground than the heart vault we saw previously. Those little cubbies there were not full of boxes holding things like i thought the heart vault was. But they definitely took stairs down last week. But whose to say there are not other underground areas.
I thought of the sinkhole episode too, and wondered if she was going to find SW’s glass coffin.

ParticipantAn added thought to the idea (above) of shattering the curse…
So, the question regarding that would be, if shattering the curse reverts them back to FTL when would they be? Would they be at the place before the queen enacted the curse. Because then Emma would be a baby again; or would they return to FTL after the curse was enacted and the remains and ruins of what was? Also, if Gold is all about finding Bae, he is not going to let much happen that will hinder him in his quest. I continue to wonder if he sees the outcomes of peoples decisions (the future, so to speak) because he seemed very unconcerned about Regina’s “creativity” other than to remind her that all magic comes with a price, and he said something like this was “magic created from magic” as if he were trying to consider the cost of that.

ParticipantI guess I will weigh in here. That was a poignant scene.
My first take was that I was stunned at the idea Emma dies and it “shatters” the curse. That was the word used. What crept over me was that Mr. Gold reiterated to Regina that what she wanted, the outcome of all this, was that SW/PC would not have a HEA, and if Emma dies and shatters the curse, PC/SW would never have a HEA with that outcome. If Emma lives and they all remember but are lost in this new “land without magic” that is not a HEA either, is it, even if they are a family? Although, people do adjust and learn to accomodate their surroundings.
I take it that shattering the curse, means everything would revert back to before the curse. Whether the return to FTL would be to a wholeness or a rubble, I cannot say. However, to return, Regina would not be in control. For people to remember in SB affects Regina’s control. Her only hope is to keep things they way they are — thus the poison apple through the hat.
Now, Jefferson’s retrieval of the apple brings a whole new element to the game, and I ask myself with magic could they go back in time and stop Regina from enacting the curse to begin with?
Personally I have developed a theory that Emma has the “seed” of FTL’s magic within in her, and that possibly either she will have magic or magic will be brought to SB through some trigger involving her, most probably her belief. Just that fact that Mr. Gold hid the knife leads me to believe he is not certain what Emma’ presence or belief will do.

ParticipantMagic is coming…
Emma believes and she is bringing magic to SB.
It is going to change the face of SB forever. Intriguing.Snickerdoodle

I don’t think we know whether or not the fairies killed all of those soldiers.
Funny thing, I assumed the fairies’ bombs were some type of sleeping powder. Especially since SW stepped on the one guy who seemed to be trying to get up afterward. I never thought they were dead.
However, it has already been stated that in a war there are always casualties on both sides.

ParticipantI just think she was lying. I agree with slurpeez108 that she was probably just telling him what he wanted to hear. She pulled the “family” card as well to try and gain an emotional advantage. Even if she could give him an identity and erase his memory, she would not give him a HEA, I don’t think she is capable of doing that, her ideal is for everyone to share her misery and have the power to keep them all that way. She is not going to give someone else a happy ending when she can’t have hers. The memories would be flawed somehow if she could possibly do it, but I really think the bit of magic Jefferson had is what kept him from forgetting.

I thought how Jefferson got the apple was pretty obvious, the Hat isn’t just a bridge between worlds but time & space so that’s where the hat opened the portal to the past when Snow bit the apple.
So, wouldn’t it make sense that if Emma does have a “seed” of FTL magic in her that is awakened by her belief, that if they could make the hat work they could go back before the curse was enacted and stop the Queen? That’s what I’m thinking makes the most sense.

ParticipantTried to update. Came up with a few questions from last night off the top of my head. Need to watch the episode again.
Still working on how to phrase the question about MM/SW remembering in SB and forgiving David, and what episode that might go under — perhaps the return since there is a question about whether or not MM and David can even have a HEA there.
