ParticipantIt is the flat line sound in the promo that Henry is dead. Perhaps he is only in a FT sleep. I really don’t know.

ParticipantSo I keep asking myself will Henry really die? If yes, is he foreshadowing what Emma must eventually do to break the curse? Or will Emma’s true love for her son, save him? I am bracing myself for Henry’s death. I am so sad at that thought.

ParticipantI also have to say that I was very disappointed that Jefferson helped Regina. I like him less as a result. We will see what happens next week.

ParticipantThis episode had a totally different “flavor” for me tonight than all the episodes for the rest of the season. It was a very pivotal episode where “the game” is concerned and defining some of the rules.
It was the first episode where I have actually felt any sympathy at all for Regina. First in the dream, and then again when she gave up her ring from Daniel. I was surprised how much that small act, even though I didn’t agree with why she gave it up, affected me. I was actually saying “don’t do it” to the TV, twice — when Regina hesitated to give up the ring, and when Jefferson was listening to Regina’s proposition. I was also sad at the thought of Jefferson not remembering, and asking for new memories for himself and Grace. I guess I agree with Grumpy, in that it is in remembering the past that makes each character who they are, and what would happen if all our favorite FT characters erased who they are. Their stories would disappear. What would Alice in Wonderland be without the Mad Hatter?
It is so hard to pick out one thing that is my favorite from this episode tonight. I thought the writing was near epic, so I am definitely excited for the finale. I guess overall my FAVORITE MOMENTS tonight were all the Henry moments — his conversation with Emma at the beginning and end, how all her family was there and she was the saviour. How he believed in her even if she didn’t believe in him. His unwavering devotion to breaking the curse… need I say more?
Least favorite moment had to be finding out that Emma would have to die to break the curse completely. I suppose her presence and her belief will weaken it sufficiently for Mr. Gold to continue searching for Bae outside SB. But realizing that Mr. Gold did what Regina intended — he keeps SW and PC from having a HEA either way. To find Emma and be a family in a land foreign to them where they are not the FT characters they once were, or Emma dies and “shatters” the curse and returns everyone to a FTL in ruins and without Emma. They would never live HEA that way either, would they? All that comes to mind for me is the song, “You’re a Mean One Mr. Grinch…” only change it to Mr. Gold!

ParticipantSo I have to admit I it was an interesting thing to hear Gold say to Regina, ” You no longer have anything I want, dearie” and I thought, oh but she does, you just son’t know it yet… Belle

ParticipantRegina mentioned returning to FTL and the rubble while talking to Jefferson. But he didn’t want to go there, he wanted to remain here with Grace, but with new memories for them both, together.
How would she do that without some magic? Also if magic is connected to objects you have to wonder if that is why Mr. Gold collects pieces of FTL?

ParticipantCan you imagine the finale? There are so many ways this could go, it is boggling my mind and those are just my ideas. Add a hundred more people writing on the forums and…
Yes, such a good show! 😆 (that is a rumple giggle)
I see the need for the apple with the sleeping curse, now 😥

ParticipantSo, Nonnie is this what I am hearing? To break the curse Emma has to die but it sounds as thought FTL would be restored, so SW and PC could not live HEA in FTL without Emma; but if things remain as they are, the curse weakens and everyone remembers because of Emma’s presence, but they cannot return to FTL as long as Emma is alive which technically keeps everyone from living HEA. Is that what you got? So either way, there is no HEA for SW and PC. Thus the “idea” of the curse is fulfilled.
Mr. Gold doesn’t really want Emma dead, though. He wants to be free to find Bae. I am coming round to the idea that Bae is Henry’s father and Emma’s true love. That would throw a wrench into things for Mr. Gold now, wouldn’t it?

ParticipantYeah, Phee! 😀

ParticipantI just watched it, because I saw someone else had watched it in another thread. I cannot believe it. All kinds of info… but when it was done, I just sat there and went “wow!” If that is the first eight minutes what are the next 32-37 like? Crazy. what a twist for breaking the curse, but it makes sense when you think about it. To break the curse, the way it is designed, will indeed keep SW and PC from living HEA in the fullest sense. Rumplestiltskin truly twists life with technicalities and people’s desperation and inexperience. He is a master at what he does, still getting the fullest benefit for himself. Incredible writers, once again.
