ParticipantIs that a heart Hades is putting in the bag?
I think so. The question is now, whose heart is it? Part of me thinks it could be Emma’s, but her heart couldn’t be removed before. Is it Hades’ heart own then–the one he said was frozen?

ParticipantI think there’s an advantage to using characters such as those: they don’t come with plot baggage. At this point, if Neal appears and doesn’t deal with all of the family issues that the audience has already written in their minds extensively, half of the audience will be frustrated — and if he does deal with all of that, the rest of the audience will be frustrated. There’s no surprise left with that character.
Half? I’m not sure where that number comes from, but even so, nearly every character has “baggage” on this show. I don’t think it matters to the writers if certain people will be frustrated. The title is a big hint: “Only You” is a song heavily associated with Neal/Emma and now their son Henry/Violet.

ParticipantCharacters like Tink, Dr. Whale, August or even Graham don’t really carry much gravitas to the current story anymore. We’ve already seen Peter Pan this season, so I don’t think he’s the one. Even though Emma and Neal already shared a scene in 5×12, we know Neal has a connection to the current story in the form of his family. Emma stated in 5×5 that Neal clearly loved the song called “Only You” and that it worked on her; given what we know about his apartment being in that episode, it makes sense that Henry might find a mixtape with that song on it. Neal and Henry sharing a scene like that would actually be a really good thing in my estimation because Henry never got to say a proper final farewell to his father. While it would be heart-wrenching to watch, I’d actually enjoy a scene like that with the two of them. I’d be more disappointed if Henry and Neal never got to have any real closure.

ParticipantHenry, a kid from mid-2010s, is making a mixtape for Violet, a kid from the medieval-esque Camelot? This show.
Seems like Neal would’ve been more likely to make Emma a mixtape, seeing how they were children of the 1980s and 1990s, and Emma said Neal loved that song.

ParticipantThere’s a lot of self loathing going on over here. I’m gonna have to turn in my Neal-card or something. My tribe is voting me off the island.
WHAT? DON’T YOU RECALL HOW ZELENA GLOATED TO EMMA ABOUT KILLING NEAL?
Here, let me remind you:
5×06 ‘I killed Neal. Ready to kiss and make up?’

ParticipantI know it might be futile, but I keep thinking of Neal’s warning. “This won’t end the way you think it will.”

ParticipantAccording to the synopsis for 5×20, Hades is going to agree to take their names off of the tombstones to get Zelena back. “Hades turns to the heroes to ask for help with getting Zelena back from Rumplestiltskin and Peter Pan. In return, he offers to take all their names off their tombstones. However, when Hook is still unable to leave, he and Emma must journey into the depths of the Underworld.” So, it seems like Emma is going to try splitting her heart again, only for it to fail (again), so she’ll have to try some other way to get her Killy Poo back.

ParticipantTo quote Lily Sparks :
Once Upon a Time‘s “Sisters” was a great reminder of how, with the fluid timeline and spectrum of memory-erasure curses, any plotline can be easily retconned by sliding in a brand new backstory. Zelena and Regina need to start liking each other? Here’s a hastily cobbled together backstory about the time they were friends. And boom! Now they’re sisters. If they need to be enemies again, Regina can just cast her mind back to that one time Zelena posed as a dead woman to rape Robin Hood. Or Zelena can consider that thanks to Regina she’s essentially a hostage of the Charmings.

ParticipantWhile I’m bracing for the absolute worst at this stage and am ready it to be over …what if it’s Robin’s death, rather than CS being TL, that gets Hook out of the UW in a life-for-a-life trade?
