Participant“Becoming a parent has really changed everything and she’s less concerned about revenge,” Mader tells The Hollywood Reporter. “Her endgame is shifting as her heart opens up by having a child.”
We’ve never seen that character development before on OUAT. *eye roll*

ParticipantGoing back to the whole issue of Emma looking worn down, tired and ill. In “Her Handsome Hero” Emma said she didn’t have any issues while standing in front of a broken mirror. I’m not the first person to notice the symbolism, but broken mirrors usually symbolize internal brokenness.

ParticipantI thought this Tumblr post had an interesting point.
Just a thought
The last dialogue in 5A finale was by Emma, “Hook, I will find you. I will always find you.”
And yet in 5B, Red Kansas was the one who not only got the most Snowing-like TLK scene…
… but it was punctuated with “You came back for me” / “I always will.”
Are the writers trying to tell us what an actual true love couple is and what isn’t?
It’s a SQ blog, but I think the blogger sees CS pretty clearly (sans CS shipper goggles).
Point of clarity. Does anyone recall when Snowing’s first official kiss was (chronologically in the story)? Was it the time when Charming kissed Snow in “Heart of Darkness” (1×16) which broke her curse and restored her lost memory?

ParticipantWhy did Belle even need to undergo a sleeping curse to stop her baby developing? They’re in the Underworld where time stands still (much like it does in Neverland). Without hope, there’s no growth, only decay. Hence, the symbolic broken clocktower. I know, I know.
My questions are pointless, and we’re overthinking this.

ParticipantA twister took Baby Zelena from EF to Oz, so I guess it’s possible Ruby/Mulan did, too. However, the audience shouldn’t have to come up with an explanation. That’s the responsibility of the writing team. It’s sad when the fans pay attention to detail than do the writers.

ParticipantLike, I get that Emma’s supposed to appear sleep deprived, but she just looks like hell.
Pun intended? Anyway, I can’t help but wonder if Emma’s haggard appearance is intentional. Sure, she’s literally in hell, but she also has gone through emotional hell. She looks worn out, not just physically, but also emotionally, like she’s battered, damaged and feeling guilty.

ParticipantITS LIKE THEY ARENT TRUE LOVE OR SOMETHING
You’d think Emma would at least start to question why TLK has never worked for her and Hook. At least Belle has the assurance that TLK started to work for her and Rumple once, and she knows the reason why it stopped (aka Rumple clung to his power out of fear).

ParticipantSomeone else brought this up in a different thread, but didn’t Hades enchant a chisel, not Hook’s hook, in order to carve the names onto the tomb stones? *sigh*

ParticipantWhat I want to know is how Rumple could break Belle’s sleeping curse without also breaking his own curse in the process. He’d have to be willing to let go of his darkness if there were to be any hope of showing Belle that she, not his power, were his true love. If that were to happen, then it seems like his curse would inevitably be broken too if he awakened her with TLK. Two curses being simultaneously lifted could be an interesting new take.
