Do they do extensive background checks at airports now a day if you are flying inside the USA? I have not flown for years. Don’t you just use picture id (driver’s license)
Yeah, all you need is a valid driver’s license to fly from one state to another within the US.

Ben and Jared are both 12, so unless Ben looks really young for his age, that’s not really an option. Interesting that he was shooting in SB though. Guess we can scrap all the theories about him being a Young[insertnamehere].
Perhaps this kid in some way influences Regina to adopt Henry?
Hmmm, excellent point you raise there. Ben does look a bit young for his age compared to Jared, but you’re probably right in saying he’s a different kid. If Adam and Eddy hadn’t already ruled it out, I’d speculate that “Owen” were Peter Pan come to SB. Perhaps he’s a lost boy or some other kid, who like you said, inspired Regina to adopt.

ParticipantI think the mystery of who “Owen” is could be resolved.

IMO, the little boy looks a lot like a young HENRY. Could “Owen” be a young Henry in SB? Does he even have a FTL counter-part? ❓
Plus there was these spoiler tweets the other day of filming on set:
Ben and Jared look a lot a like, except for the eye color. I could see Ben as a younger version of Henry Mills.

I don’t think Mr. Gold has a first name. I think it’s one of those plays on the original Rumple fairy tale where his name was his closest secret. I think when the creators sat down and created him, they decided to have his SB name be a kind of tongue in cheek reference to the fairy tale.
I think I recall an interview in which Adam and Eddy said we’d find out Mr.Gold’s first name in S2. I believe the producers deliberately kept his first name a secret for a later story development, in a similar vain to how they kept David’s fairy-tale name a secret for “Tiny”. We could see a parallel story in modern-day SB where someone has to guess Mr. Gold’s first name the way the miller’s daughter had to guess Rumpelstiltskin’s name in FTL.

ParticipantLacey huh? It’s both a girl’s name as well as a boy’s name. As such, I’ll add a wacky theory to the mix that Lacey is Mr. Gold’s first name. We still have no idea what it was in cursed SB. Here is the meaning of Lacey:
People with this name have a deep inner desire for a stable, loving family or community, and a need to work with others and to be appreciated.
People with this name tend to initiate events, to be leaders rather than followers, with powerful personalities. They tend to be focused on specific goals, experience a wealth of creative new ideas, and have the ability to implement these ideas with efficiency and determination. They tend to be courageous and sometimes aggressive. As unique, creative individuals, they tend to resent authority, and are sometimes stubborn, proud, and impatient. http://www.sheknows.com/baby-names/name/lacey
Sounds a lot like Mr.Gold/Rumplestiltskin.
Otherwise, it’d be really interesting if Lacey were HER, the BF, or Belle!

They’ll be rocking the parent/child theme pretty hardcore for a few eps there, so it wouldn’t surprise me if that’s all a build up to them showing how Regina got Henry.
That is a very good theory. Season 2 will answer most of the major questions that we’ve been asking since S1. Now, Eddy and Adam are throwing answers at us left and right. Since we’ll be learning answers in such a short span of time, I think they must planning to take the show in an entire new direction at the end of S2 and leading up to S3!
Makes me wonder how the Owen/Ben father comforting son over loss of his mother fits into all this (it is this episode isn’t it?)..I mean they do like to do parallels.
It’s been speculated on other threads that “Owen” could be a young Hook. Also, I wonder if “Owen” could be a young huntsman and Ben his father since Jamie Dornan is on set.
Wow 😮 😯 I have never seen that theory before about the Huntsman being Hook’s dad. That would be something.
I also think another theme (regarding parents), mistakes parents made with their kids. I want to believe that Cora realizes she made mistakes with Regina, but highly doubtful. I think she just misses the control she used to have.
Oh no, I didn’t mean that the huntsman is Hook’s dad. They’re two different theories. There’s no way the huntsman could be Hook’s dad, since Hook is chronologically older than Graham. Hook is almost as old as Rumple and has been living in Neverland, not aging, for about 250 years. Graham/Huntsman was only about 60 when Emma came to SB. Graham looked about 32 in FTL and another 28 years passed in SB without anyone aging, making Graham about 60 when he died. The first theory is that “Owen” could be a young Hook. My other, different theory is that “Owen” could be a young huntsman and “Ben” is the huntsman’s father.

ParticipantYes, the Blue Fairy said that to Pinocchio. This clip shows the BF turning Pinocchio into a real boy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N7DvCi1EV3c
Based on a recent spoiler, I’d guess the healer and August may have no interaction at all. Rather, we might see the Blue Fairy turn August back into a real man and simultaneously see the healer return Philip’s soul to his body in a parallel plot that takes place in present-day FTL with Mulan and Aurora along for the ride.

Maybe this is ironically a Rumpelstiltskin episode because everyone calls him a coward. Maybe he goes to the Healer for help to heal Belle, and the Healer doesn’t have anything to do with Mulan at all.
This has to be PINOCCHIO/AUGUT’S story! The Blue Fairy said in “The Stranger” that so long as Pinocchio were “Brave, Truthful and Unselfish” that he would always remain a real boy. The last we saw Pinocchio, he’d turned back into a wooden man. By the title, I think we may see him turn back into a normal man again. Perhaps he’ll perform a brave, heroic, and selfless act again. As heartbreaking as it’d be, August could meet a heroic end, but die as a real man. We have yet to see August and Geppetto have their father-son reunion. What if August were to die in his father’s arms after saving everyone from Cora/Regina? 😥
