OMG love love love the costume pictures. What an intricate buste line on Regina’s corset, whoever made that does great work and the collars on the robes, fantastic. *Write me up for the OuaT costume pattern book, seriously*
    Thnk you so much AngieBelle!

I think the flat iron building could have been a computer animation added later… I have this nagging feeling I saw a “Magic behind the Movies” series that had that building in it, and it was the first thing I thought when I saw it. So they have it in the computer somewhere and can just add it in to cover something up. Just like the belltower in Storybrooke is fake.

    You mean this?

it’s the same as what Cora wear, hematite, just a different shape.

Oh dearie, you just made me stumble upon a theory… Cora is after Regina’s heart, because hers is… growing cold.
    From clear red garnet

    To slightly murky ruby

    To the silvery grey hematite

    All heartstones

    Hook’s earring is a mood(ear)ring! πŸ˜†

And yes, the whole point is emeralds are expensive so it’s likely it’s a cheaper, and thus less quality stone ( The big four are diamonds, rubies, emeralds and sapphires. As soon as they are off-color or have inclusions like hairline cracks or dirt value drops considerably. )
So maybe this is why their love is less successfull? Bad quality stone, bad quality love πŸ˜›

Oh, I know what I want! It says Belle’s blue dress, but that’s the FTL dress. I want the blue dot armani dress and gorgeous red pumps.

I completely agree with you, Phee. The stone does look like peridot (and olivine is just another name for it in case some of you are wondering). But they are also called evening emeralds and also the emerald spectrum does vary a bit. The really expensive ones are a dark blue green though. So this would be the cheap version πŸ˜† If you google it, you come across a range of colors, some even opaque (which is more like emerald waste product, and NOT emerald at all)… Hey, maybe it was GOLD magic that turned it yellowish πŸ˜†

    Heck… WE WANT A MINI RUMPEL DAGGER CHARM πŸ˜† πŸ˜† πŸ˜†

Something just crossed my mind. Gold’s ring is a poison ring. Yeah, would be so like him, wouldn’t it. Now what is a poison ring, do you ask? It’s a ring with a secret compartment, usually under the stone… just enough room for a bit of poison.

    Like:
I wonder what Gold is keeping in it, but I sure hope it kills Cora.

And I forgot about a very import ring… Snow’s Twue Wuve ring
Now I think it is supposed to be an emerald (though I tell you it looks more like Olivine/Peridot to me… it’s cheaper. THe difference is a yellow green instead of a blue green… but then again, cheaper emeralds are more yellow too)
    Anyways:

Emerald is known as the β€œstone of successful love”. It brings loyalty and provides for domestic bliss. It enhances unconditional love, unity and promotes friendship. Keeps partnerships in balance and can signal unfaithfulness if it changes colour. Emerald stimulates the heart chakra, having a healing effect on the emotions as well as the physical heart. It ensures physical, emotional and mental equilibrium, bringing harmony to all areas of ones life. Focusing intention and raising consciousness, it brings in positive actions, eliminating negativity and enhancing the ability to enjoy life to the fullest.

Emerald enhances psychic abilities, opens clairvoyance, and stimulates the use of greater mental capacity. It helps bring awareness of the unknown to conscious recognition, imparting reason and wisdom. Emerald assists in inciting activity and focus in ones actions. It strengthens memory and imparts clarity of thought. It inspires a deep inner knowing, promoting truth and discernment.

Sounds more befitting than a stone that words off negativity and helps you stand on your own two feet (Olivine/peridot) doesn’t it?

I think by now it is safe to say the costume department has a book on gemstone theory laying around πŸ˜†

Is that me, or is that a mini rumpel dagger charm? (they should do THAT as fan merchandise πŸ˜† )

Hmm on second thought , the flat one looks like jaspis, but the rounded more glassy one looks more like carnelian

In antiquity, as well as today, Carnelian is believed to help timid speakers become both eloquent and bold. [Simmons, 92] Ancient Warriors wore Carnelian around their neck for courage and physical power to conquer their enemies. In Egypt it was worn by master architects to show their rank of builder, and alchemists of the Middle Ages used it as a boiling stone to activate the energy of other Chalcedonies. As the first stone in the breastplate of the High Priest, it signified the blood of the martyrs [Kunz, 303, 305], and was once believed to prevent illness and the Plague. [Fernie, 138]

The ancient Egyptians called Carnelian “the setting sun.” In its orange hues, they identified it with the receptive or passive female energies, and associated it with the fertile menstrual blood of the mother goddess, Isis. In its red, red-orange to reddish brown shades, they considered it the active male energy stone, recognized by its glowing vibrant color. [Eason, 72, 84] Carnelian is traditionally worn to enhance passion, love, and desire.

    What can I say… Hooky is a man whore πŸ˜† πŸ˜† πŸ˜†

Carnelian also stimulates bloodflow and creates warmth, so is good for people with cold hands and feet. It’s an energy stone.

The earring could be obsidian, and that like male power stone number one. But the picture really is too unclear to tell for sure.

Nope I don’t think so. The ring was there since day one, episode one, first time he is in the screen and takes granny’s money… And I don’t think the Belle episode was even written back then.

Well actually moonstone is milky white, with usually a blueish sheen over it,like pearls also have, that’s the blue you seen… And why it’s so gorgeous.

    I love wearing it
