Was re-watching some Season 1 & 2 episodes and I got to thinking about something Rumple told David in the infinite forest. That true love besides being the most powerful magic that it must be protected at all costs. Now for Snow and David they share a physical connection i.e. David’s sympathy pains when Snow went under the Sleeping Curse. It stands to reason that Robin could very well come to the same point in his desire to be united with his soul-mate where he can’t be without her. We see a slight intimation of this I would argue when he levels his arrow at Regina and promises to aim true even if she chokes the life out of him. This demonstrates to me that their fates will be intertwined from here on out. Eventually, their relationship will progress to the point where he cannot be without her just as Snow cannot be without David and vice versa. A lot of parallels are starting to emerge between Snow and David’s Season 1 romance and Regina and Robin, one would hope that they (Snow and David) recognize this and for want of a better term play match-maker, in the sense of bringing them together by remembering their experiences in the EF (circa Season 1). Regina I think will parallel Snow in wanting to silence her heart for being so overwhelmed with love that she convinces herself that its better to be apart than risk the pain of love. Likewise I suspect Robin will be as David was the knight errant in pursuit of his lady fair (albeit with a different set of obstacles in the way) .

Here’s the key part of the interview:
“She’s afraid to open her heart and afraid to let love in. She hasn’t done it in forever since Daniel [Noah Bean]. I think she’s afraid to lose again — and I don’t mean lose like she won’t get the guy, but lose him. So many things have been taken away from her and there’s been so much loss that she doesn’t believe that it will sustain or that this love has the potential to be as deep and real as she dreamt of having for herself.”
Afraid to lose him that’s key. That tells me that Rob is going to be the lovesick puppy pursing her and fighting for her love.

Emma’s treading on thin ice, she is willfully choosing to keep lying to Henry ostensibly to protect him, but we all remember what happened to Henry after he found out Regina was lying to him. Granted everybody is lying to him but Emma concocted the fiction they are all playing along with. A rift between mother and son is on the horizon I fear.

Based on what we know that Regina is scared to open her heart, I think that we’ll at least get some elaboration on why Rob has his tattoo. After her question is answered my assumption is her sense of hurt at if you will “standing him up the first time” will overwhelm her and she’ll either bolt or hide the fact that she knows what she knows about them. Overall, I get the sense that because Regina has been burned/hurt so much in the past and ends up losing everyone she loves/cares about she’ll keep her distance (under the assumption that she’ll only hurt him and herself by giving in) but Rob will pursue her and their relation will build towards the kind of love that will make the what’s left of he Evil Queen in Regina fade away.
I’m seeing a parallel here with how Charming and Snow were kept apart and how David pursued her culminating in the events of Heart of Darkness when he finally catches up with Snow. By the end of that arc the love/soul mate bond between the two is firmly established as evidenced by David’s sympathy pains when Snow falls under the Sleeping Curse. I think that the plot will now include the extended family trying to play matchmaker for Regina and Robin and since Zelena’s curse almost certainly has Regina as its target we have to assume that healing Regina’s heart bringing her true love is the most likely way the curse is ended. Like Zelena said Regina hasn’t lost anything and I get the feeling that its Regina’s destiny to have all her dreams come true and Zelena’s in for a “fate worse than death.”

Side note: I wonder if the book appeared to Regina this time since it appeared to Snow that last time. The last time we did see the book after all it was lying on Henry’s bed in Regina’s house.

Zelena’s inferiority complex and mommy issues remind me of Jimmy Cagney in White Heat. Who knows maybe Zelena will end on top of the world?

I think this just gave us a big clue as to how Hook will get back to the Land w/o Magic.

Will be curious to know if the Storybook has been amended to include some stories Henry didn’t get first time round. Considering the first time he got the book he initiated Operation Cobra to find out who everyone was and to break the curse. This time round I would love it if he found out that Robin was Regina’s true love and resolved to try to get them together the way he did his grandparents. Unfortunately, Henry seems to have let his imagination be stifled by too many video games so his innate belief has to be re-ignited (here’s hoping the book sparks at least his belief in magic let alone his memory)
