Their relationship played out somewhat as I like to see Emma & Killian’s play out- Love/Hate, reluctant trust/working together, cautious friendship, friendship, good/close friends, flirting & romance- nice & slow 😉 😀
Of course there will be disappointment & probably frustration if a hinted pairing, doesn’t get any further than off screen confirmations of it’s existence- which is to be expected (not saying that is the case here, just that that response would be a given in that event).

Personally, the only thing that will have me tuning out (as I’ve said before), will be if they do something so far beyond logical comprehension, that I wouldn’t be interested in investing any further, as the core of their story line/s had been screwed over, that I’d see no point in watching- ie. If Neal & Emma had forgiven each other everything on the beach & planned on living happily ever after in NY…. I doubt I would have bothered with S3 TBH, as it goes against everything we’ve been told about Emma’s character for the last 2yrs etc.
It’d be EXACTLY the same if Hook & Emma had hooked up this ep- even for a one nighter at this point- it goes against Emma’s character & would make no sense given her reaction at the top of the beanstalk & what we know of her- again, from the last 2 seasons- their current flirtations (or lack thereof) are fine- her responses make sense.

There is also a big difference between character hate/dislike, ship hate/dislike, reasons for tuning out & expecting A&E to write the show as shippers want it- reality is there are good & bad points, pros & cons in every ship & character- all of which get discussed. I don’t think anyone in here has said they hate any one character, simply because they are in the way of their ship, nor that they’ll be tuning out if it doesn’t happen (but even if the did- it is their right to do so)- we all like or dislike the ship for different reasons compared to the other ships involving both Hook & Emma. As I said above, if A&E push points for 2 yrs then just swept them under the rug- I’d give it up, simple as that- whats the point in investing, if that’s what is going to happen with other major plots- However, that would be my choice, nor would I say, feel or think they were to ‘blame’ for destroying the show, because that is just a childish & ignorant thing to do- it would be me who no longer felt their show was worth my own investment, which is anyone’s right as a viewer… I’d have been hard pressed to continue calling myself a fan of the show & still be watching if Hook hadn’t come along- the show had lost it’s spark or me, Killian & CS put it back, hooked me in & has kept me here & excited since- most the other story-lines have been predictable & boring for me, centering on characters I have little interest in (even Snowing has lost a lot of it’s spark from S1 & I LOVE Snowing)- do I blame the writers for my lack of interest? Of course not. when I wanted a better viewing experience, I found it else where & came back to the show & caught up when it interested me again.

We all need to remember- in here, we are CS’ers & therefore, Emma & Hook/Killian will generally have preference over Emma/Neal (or Emma/anyone else)- that doesn’t mean we all hate Neal or whoever- it just means we all have our own reasons for preferring Killian & Emma together- so Killian’s & Neal’s interactions with Emma will be compared (as those are the only 2 interacting with her at that level).

TBH- I actually think for the most part CS’res are generally tolerant & understanding of SF/ST, Neal/Bae when compared to the level of CS hate that came out again after E21 – stuff like that annoys me & as I’m the type of person who will go & do exactly the thing I’m told can never happen. Rigt now I’d like for SF run it’s course & have Emma move on from him asap- if she ends up with Killian GREAT (I’d be over the moon), if she ends up with some random prince (like Derek) as endgame & they fit, that’s great too 😉
Maybe CS’ers are more for the underdog types, so we tend to be try to understand other ships even if we don’t like them 😉

Not that it wasn’t funny and all (SO many Tangled parallels – frying pan anyone??) but uh…poor Hook. Emma’s a quick learner and it’s in her blood and all but he’s a pirate and he never really wanted to hurt her anyway or I’m sure he could have.

I NEED them to address some of this stuff because he needs to explain how he got roped into working with Cora (stalk the beanstalk much Cora??) because he did try to kill her before she vanished and then she was basically watching him like a hawk the rest of the time and almost killed him.

After having slept on everything- my take is this….. Emma needs to get Neal out of her system in order to move on (pretty much as we’ve all being saying since before this ep aired lol)- period.

I’m ok with that, as long is she does move on- I get the show is about hope etc & they both just want a family to love etc. But a loving family usually isn’t the result of a relationship built on distrust, deep hurt, jealously & the belittling the other, it sends the wrong message to imply it can work. Even if 3 of those things can be over come- there is still the trust issue…there is no way that can be spun that will allow for those 2 to be in a long term ‘healthy’ relationship (given the depth of that issue which we’ve had slammed into us over the last 2yrs).
Those trust issues go so deep that her own mother, whom jumped into a portal after her- so she wouldn’t be alone, showed her ‘what her life was meant to be,’ saved her from a troll, told her she would always have someone put her 1st etc & still Emma cant trust her enough to let her inside her walls! That is on Neal- Emma was willing to trust & love then Neal broke her & she shut down- totally & wont take that risk again- you cant build a healthy long term relationship with that as part of the foundations.

I REALLY hope they let SF have it’s moment, run it course, allowing both Emma & Neal to grow past it & from it, then they move onto healthier relationships.

I’ve always thought our lack of Hook scenes this season was entirely down to Colin’s broken leg. It would have been nice if we’d seen Hook these last 4 eps though- even if it was just lurking scenes 😉

I’m hoping the final isn’t too focused on the past (& if it is, I hope we get the back story of Killian- not Hook, next season!)- as they have changed the wording from Hook & Bea’s back story to “Bae’s” back story :/ It may sound petty or greedy, but I don’t care- I WANT HOOK/KILLIAN ON SCREEN AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE DURING THE FINAL!- Hook haters be darned!

That interview was (mostly) great & seems to confirm a lot of what we already thought would be the case (ie. Hook being good with kids, having deeper layers & the capacity for change etc), hope we get better questions in a later interview tho :/
The one takeaway I jumped for joy at, was Colin saying he had to drop out of the band due to his commitments to Once – I take that to mean, Killian/Hook will back in force next season YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀
If Hook/Killian is back as a regular, CS has an even greater chance of taking flight 😉 😀

Well that was silly of me- watched all the awesome CS fan vids posted here (I hadn’t seen the Halo one & LOVED it- thank you whom ever posted it! It has now been downloaded so I can watch it whenever 😉 ) & then went & listened to the Official podcast… urgh Bad move- I can see how SF fans would be jumping for joy after hearing A&E statements in that particular podcast-I almost went back to rocking in the corner lol Some hope though….at least I hope it’s hope lol 😉

They said it was Neil’s betrayal that stopped Emma trusting Hook,

“she wasn’t going to trust another person again. Henry may have been the 1st person to break through that wall, her parents try; but she isn’t going to make herself that vulnerable again & the more she tell’s Neil it was 10yrs ago, I’ve moved on- we know she hasn’t, we know it’s hard for her to see him living Tallahassee with someone else. Neil has always regretted that day, as he actually says out loud & so for us, it’s how do 2 people who love each other come together, when there is so much hurt & I think that in a lot of ways, has been what the season has been about”

Nice they point out that she wouldn’t give Killian a chance ‘to get in’ due to Neil’s actions.

What worries me is this-

“Seeing Emma say I love you to somebody was very powerful & to see that connection between the 2 of them was very powerful- even if it had to come at the most tragic moment of his life”

That sounds more like they mean for her to mean it & not just as a goodbye 🙁

The one thing they said, that I take hope from in all of this madness is “It’s much easier to do the wrong thing, than the right thing”- Ok so that wasn’t in relation to Neil & Emma, but it does cross ships nicely – For Emma to open up to Neil again, is the easy thing for her to do, (better the devil you know, than the one you don’t) she will expect some hurt from him, due to their history & so she doesn’t ‘have’ to totally open up & totally trust- However opening up to someone who hasn’t hurt her like that, now that is much harder to do & requires far more courage, as it requires a leap of faith & depth of trust, which for Emma is almost monumental.

I would like to see a friendship develop between Killian, Henry & Emma during S3- some CS flirting yes, but I don’t want them ‘going steady’ or ‘hooking up’ till at least S4 🙂 Neil & Emma can try things out, but at this stage (& after having read that tumbler post- thanks for linking it obisgirl) I really don’t want to see SF as endgame- there is just to much ‘bad’ for it to be ‘good’ & I don’t know how they could make it work realistically (fantasy/drama or not) long term given the depth of hurt & damage Emma has suffered from his actions- Emma & Neil having a good friendship yes, but Emma being totally intimate with someone who royally crushed & betrayed her to the point of never even going past a ‘1 night stand’ with another guy for a decade, it’s just so far beyond far fetched it’s ridiculousness- I hope A&E consult their wives on some of the choices they have Emma’s make, cause from where I’m standing it makes no sense! 😕

Only 5days to go now…maybe next week will be our week- i’m not asking for more than glimpse of a possibility- even if that’s Emma telling Charming off for popping Hook in the face, when (I assume) he goes to inform them of the 'fail safe' GOAT have set in motion, even that at this point would be good & a good poscast with positive Killian/Hook vibes too 😉
