ParticipantSo I sort of fall in the middle on this issue. I really liked that Rumple made the right decision by not choosing ultimate power. And I am happy that he had to make that decision himself. It’s annoying that Belle doesn’t get to witness it firsthand but I felt that if Belle was there trying to convince him to do the right thing, it would mean less. The fact that he did it on his own and fought his inner dark one by himself says a lot. And I love that his right choice was rewarded by getting to start over with Belle and raise a baby Gideon.
That being said, the relationship was a disaster. So they need to fix it and unfortunately Belle won’t be back next year. Belle did not get the screen time needed to repair their relationship this season. Instead, Gideon and Black Fairy and Rumple got all the screen time.
And I’d bet a lot of money that if Bobby wasn’t coming back, they would have had him give up his Dark One powers. But in the meantime, they just have way too much writing for DO Rumple. But all things considered, I was very pleased with how these two and Gideon finished their story for this book, all things considered. My expectations were low so I came out enjoying it.

ParticipantAre we certain Zelena’s time travel spell cant go into the future? I don’t think that’s going to happen, but just asking
They could easily spin the spell in such a way to go forward in time. They have done crazier things.

ParticipantIngrid killing herself also broke the spell of shattered sight, if that means anything. Do we know any other examples of killing a magic user stopping their magic in this show? I think Killing Medusa saved Charming, right?
It’s happened a lot on the show. My only answer is that the original dark curse needed TLK but not all curses do. I’m trying to think of other examples but it definitely has happened. Was Agrabah restored once Jafar was defeated? When Pan’s shadow was “killed”, Blue Fairy was no longer “dead.” Also when Arthur was killed, presumably Guineviere’s curse was lifted as was Camelot’s right? I know we didn’t see that but still.

ParticipantYeah, Emma had to have true love in her heart. She had already performed true love’s kiss with Henry many years ago, so she already had true love in her heart.
Ok, but that is not what the show was implying at all in that moment and you know that. Like come on.

ParticipantI think it is more likely that they just show us things in the future as flashforwards and not actually have the characters themselves travel forward in time.

ParticipantWell I must be in the minority or just lead a very boring life. I prefer Friday to Sunday becasue of football and the fact that Sundays we are wrapping up the weekend to get ready to head back to school so they are fairly busy. I also like to be home with the kids on Friday nights so this gives us something to watch.
Case and point. Again, I’m not saying it’s going to save the show, but it cannot hurt. Football and walking dead own sunday nights.

ParticipantI think if this is the final season, A&E can and will do whatever they want with no regards to what the fans are requesting anymore. That might be good.
Precisely.

ParticipantThis is one of those things. I am not going to change my mind and neither are you, so i am going to leave it at this.
Well that’s just not true. I forget a lot of what happens in Firebird when Emma and Hook are in the caves in the UW. I just thought that they had to use a heart or whatever and place it on the scale and then something happened that I thought meant that their love was true love which allowed them to pass the test and open the next door. Obviously I need to rewatch it. If I’m wrong then I’m wrong. But I thought it was definitive that they had to have true love otherwise it wouldn’t have worked.

ParticipantShe wanted the power without having to abide by the laws of magic, that was her motivation. We saw her choose her power over her son in her flashbacks, just like Rumple did. She wanted all the power in the world by wiping out all the realms. And we know she did truly care about Rumple, and we know she did grow fond of Gideon, so by doing what she was planning on doing, she got to have it all, which is what she wanted to do in her flashbacks by cutting Rumple’s destiny but keeping her powers…that is until until Blue sent her away. Now, she would have had unlimited power, everyone else who could stop her would be gone, and she could live her life safely with her two sons. That’s plenty of motivation and I think it’s clear as day.
