Neal being Bae and Peter Pan makes more sense to me than any other option. Rewatching the Disney movie the other night I found another correlation that I just wanted to share. The OUAT characters often carry key personality traits to the Disney versions, such as Belle loving books. In the big fight between Peter and Hook, Hook goads Peter into not using his abilty to fly by calling him a coward. Peter is affronted. “Coward? Me?” After further goading Peter exclaims, “Nobody calls Pan a coward and lives!” He nearly loses the fight, but he refuses to go back on his word and be branded a coward even to save himself. If that doesn’t fit with Bae angrily calling Rumple a coward when Rumple refuses to go through the portal, then I don’t know what does. If they make anyone else Pan, I’ll be very disappointed.

Fantastic catch BeastWhisperer! So much importance is put into that one single word when it come to Rumple. I’ve got both Disney’s version and the stage version (’60s TV with Mary Martin & Cyril Ritchard). I think maybe I’ll give them a view again over the weekend. Thanks so much for sharing that!

Cora is such a creeeeeeeeeeeper! Agree with everyone that “Henry” is actually Cora, and this fits in right before the other scene where Cora’s in Regina’s little hidey hole.

Hook-Emma so called interaction, it’s gross beyond everything. Is this, as they claim, a “family show”? I understand the writers are trying to feed the Hookers but this just lacks any taste.

The innuendo will go over the heads of the kids it’s inappropriate for. I look back at lots of the pop songs I used to sing along to as a kid and am stunned at what I was actually singing along to. 😯 😆 The CaptainSwan shippers get a tidbit, the people who don’t like Hook have it fuel their distaste, and those who are crushing on Hook get a kick out of it, (it’s in keeping with his character and I loved it), so it works for everyone and you can take from it whatever angle suits you.

Good theory, could totally see this happening. I am not a fan of PapaFrankenstein.

Ditto, ditto and ditto to what Phee said. 😀 😆 Especially the last theory from RumplesGirl. Makes perfect sense that’s what would drive him.

Here’s a spoiler interview and they mention Ethan Embry’s character. Sooooo mysterious, 😆 😆 😆

What can say about Ethan Embry’s upcoming role?

    KITSIS: It’s really good.

HOROWITZ: He’s great, and you’ll see him soon. That’s pretty much all we want to say. But, we’re very happy to have him and we’re really pleased with his work.

KITSIS: This will help, his character’s name is “Mysterious Stranger.” He’ll be both mysterious and strange. He’ll get a name pretty soon, and we’re excited to tell that story, as well.

HOROWITZ: The less said about Ethan Embry, the better. In general.

Here’s a spoiler interview and K&H had something to say about it.

What’s in store for Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) and Belle (Emilie de Ravin)?

EDWARD KITSIS: You’re going to actually see a lot of Rumple and Belle, coming up. The second half of the season, he’s going to collect that favor from Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and he’s going to go in search of his son. He and Belle are definitely going to face challenges. What’s interesting is that you’re also going to see Rumple change for her. As we all know, sometimes that’s hard.

HOROWITZ: And Belle is going to find new obstacles and challenges.

    Way to go Rumple!

I want that Rumpelstiltskin have to sacrifice something for Belle to get her memories back and I think that is a nice idea.

He did seem pretty gut wrenched when he told Hook “what you’ve done cannot be undone”. Though I’m not sure he’d sacrifice his powers just yet, at least not until he finds Bae.

I do have to ask though. What about his wand that he got from Cinder’s FG? He used that to take all the fairy dust out of the mines. Could he not just use his if they are able to find more dust? As well, were the mines completely drained in SB? If so, would the dwarfs be able to port back to the EF and collect some there? It seems to open up so many questions and options.

Can we all please stop jacking this thread? It seems to be the first thread Kellyn has ever posted herself. Not very gracious of us to keep arguing with her about a minor point, especially when she has provided links where we hear it directly from the creators mouths that SB characters were opposites and that was part of the curse. Point, Game and Match in my books. I would suggest EvilQueen, perhaps starting a thread of your own if you feel so strongly about the subject and let’s move on with the actual subject of this thread.

Back to Kellyn’s original question: How do we feel about the idea of Rumple having to go to Blue to get her assistance, by means of her wand, in order to help Belle recover her memory?

Dena81 brought up an interesting point about the opening scene in Broken where we first meet Neal. He crosses in front of a horse and buggy. We all kept trying to figure what it all meant. Well, didn’t we see Bae’s crossing in front of a donkey cart in his opening scene in The Return? He hurt his knee and Rumple turned the driver into a snail and squashed him dead. Horse and carriage/donkey and cart. Doh!!!! 😆 😆

I just posted the same thing under the Ethan Embry thread. I’m wondering if they will keep the name Barrett as his last name.

I hate when they do this…….grrrrrrrrr………

    SPOILER: http://www.spoilertv.com/2013/01/once-upon-time-episode-213-tiny-synopsis.html?showComment=1358423233619

Cora brings the giant to Storybrooke, where he unleashes vengeance on the town.
Greg asks Belle what she saw on the night of his accident.
Emma and Henry go with Mr. Gold to search for his son.
    Anton the Giant befriends humans.

So now we have a first name. Will Barrett be his last name or was that just used in the casting call to throw us off?

I was also under the impression that he would be in a coma for the rest of the season. Does anyone recall reading that somewhere? I can’t seem to remember where I initially heard that or find any links about it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. 😀

Dena81 brought up a great point on another thread about Neal Cassidy.

In The Return, we see Bae scoot across in front of a donkey cart and hurt his knee.

In Broken, we see Neal crossing in front of the horse and carriages in Central Park.

How did we miss that connection? Great catch Dena81!
