Rose could’ve had a happy ending with Jack if she just moved over a bit on the floating door. There was enough room for both of them.

I said the same thing with Olaf and was wrong but yoy really camt have Aladdin with the genie and even if this takes place after the events of the last film, the genie had to have played a hand.
And im going based on the sneak peek. Aladdin clealry has some kind of high, respected position of power. Jasmine is nowhere in sight. He eoesnt seem to be in his right mind. And clearly there is some thingbnot right with Aladdin. It could be a nimue/merlin situation.
I dont think they will keep her that way if she was evil. But its all speculation.

Could be. I am expecting it to be another fairytale character though. Honestly, if it wasn’t for that travesty of a “backstory” for Maleficent, this would have been an awesome time for this story to be about how Regina met and became friends/enemies with her. I remember people once speculated Maleficent was once her fairy godmother :/ If its Daniel, that’s cool too, but we already know how that story ends so I don’t think it’ll be him for that reason but it could be.

I vaguely recall reading that the originally goal was that Disney wanted to reveal that he and Aladdin were brothers but then it never made it.

Sounds reasonable. Aladdin is good at getting people out of itty bitty living spaces.
He said that it will take a little bit though before the two worlds, that of Aladdin and Storybrooke, mesh into one story line.

Interesting :/ I figured this would be directly tied into the main story. But I guess not. So the EQ/Hyde thing is the main story, Aladdin and Jafar is the B-story and they eventually merge. Gotcha

So they went their intentionally so they could never have their stories told???? What?

Kitsis and Horowitz promised that we will learn more about the Savior mythology this season, much like the Dark One lineage in Season 5. It’s possible viewers will learn the identity of the first Savior. Aladdin’s journey could provide insight and parallel’s to Emma’s path.
Okay so now the Savior is a title, something passed down, Emma wasn’t the first and Aladdin is a savior too. I wonder if this has anything to do with the Diamond In The Rough thing that Aladdin was in the movie.
