Does anyone know the song from the Evil Queen trailer? I was on youtube and someone cut out all the singing bits, and asked if it was Lana. It does sort of sound like her. I googled the lyrics and found nothing. Here are the singing parts:

Like, WL took place during season 2 of OUAT, so that’s 2012 if I’m not mistaken, and thus 4 years ago, which could technically be many years ago. Maybe Jafar really is/was Aladdin’s Genie and he freed Jafar from the lamp?
Except In-show Timeline wise, it hasn’t been 4 years. It has been roughly 9 months – 1 year (If that).

I keep forgetting that time has passed differently in the show. So this 100% has to take place during WL or before WL then? Okay… so….how does Princess Jasmine fit into this? Wouldn’t she need to be Jafar’s sister to still be a princess (which honestly, I wouldn’t put past this show. For non-WL fans, Jafar is the son of the sultan of Agrabah in the once-verse). If this is before or during WL, then Jafar is still after genies to complete his goal, so okay perhaps that explains how he and Aladdin know eachother (he wants Al’s genie) But…you know idk. I just don’t know whats going on or how its going on anymore. Aladdin is a savior, Jafar is a prince, the stick gained weight. I just, Idk.

They said that Emma wasn’t the first savior, and that Aladdin was only a savior. No specific mention of Aladdin being the first one.
Which is…confusing. So what exactly is a “Savior” now? Is it like, a generic title like the word hero, or is it a specific thing (the ultimate one to break the curse or whatever). I mean, technically Regina was referred to as the savior at one point during the Zelena arc if I recall so I guess this shouldn’t be surprising. But Aladdin seems official, like Emma, in this savior role. Like he is THE savior of something, not just a hero.

Not having seen OUATWL, this is my first OUAT flying carpet. I found it oddly thrilling.
I think it looks slightly better than what it was on WL, where it just looked a little bit…uncomfortable, but here it looks a little more believable. I really liked it.
– Casting of Aladdin. Not quite what I expected. Still, maybe he’ll grow on me.
Idk if its just me but there is something about his voice that I don’t like. I mean he looks promising, and I’m sure the actor is great, but when he talked it wasn’t what I was expecting. Jafar (both Naveen and Oded) spoke with this perfect kind of…slow, enunciated speech that has a bit of force and threat to it, just like the Disney character.
And honestly, I can take the recast of Jafar….but I’m still questioning why they had to recast the stick. I know its such a petty thing to think about. Like, I know his old one isn’t a stick anymore, but I think I liked the design on that one better. But then again, this one looks thicker and heavier, so I guess I like it. Depending on where this takes place in the timeline, it will only make sense if the staff looks different after the events of WL (which means he got a new one). If its before…I guess Amara had a makeover.

If you look on her character poster, it does seem as if she is wearing something on her wrists (her sleeves are unbuttoned). That’s very interesting. Also, I’m not buying the “We wont know who is who” thing when it comes to her squad. While Jack is debateable for being the tin man, we know who dorotyhy, the lion and scarecrow are so that just leaves him. Unless they plan on doing a few bait and switches. Which would be cool.

This show really just wants us to blindly accept everything.
