So this means she’s younger than Cinderella and Drizella? Because if so, I’d suspect they are trying to make a connection.
By not showing her as regular age, they could use a different actress. However that wouldn’t explain Tremaines appearance. Unless she used magic to become younger

I could see either, but I’m going with the latter possibly based on the dress tearing scene from Disney’s animated Cinderella. And it just sounds more poetic.
Could be both. One little tear in Ella’s dress, prompting her to shed one little tear, summoning the Fairy Godmother.

A good witch, of course. I can imagine Regina and Zelena would pass down their magical knowledge. Regina wanted to teach Henry magic but he was against if, back in season 2.

….So then what happens in the end? The Real Hook is off living his life with Emma and Alt!Hook is also wanting to live his life with Emma….so like in the end he gets like re-absorbed into him or something?
Wouldn’t the easier and more heroic option just have been to send the REAL Hook to help Henry? What about the story would have changed since this Hook has false memories anyway?
Just have Rogers reintegrate back into our Killian so that he can live his hea with his wife.
Oh wow, I was kidding but your actually serious. That sounds horrible and unnecessary. Just have this Hook be a new Hook, with the fact that he looks just like the other Hook be an uncanny coincidence. Don’t have him be a clone. Don’t have him be Emma obsessed. I think the loss hes feeling will probably turn out to be for his mother if this hook turns out to not be our Hook.
I just watched the interview. I think what Colin means is that, just like this Cinderella, this is a Hook from a different world. But i dont think hes a clone as in he was created by Emma for her to send off to help Henry or whatever.
So you think Colin is saying this is a new iteration of Hook, just like Cinderella, but with Hook it’s the same actor? The part that still confuses me though is Colin making it sound like the “alternate version” of Hook – whatever that means – is in HH at the same time as the Hook we know having his HEA with Emma.
Mhmm. I think this is exactly the case. He’s Hook from the new realm just as Cinderella is Cinderella from the new realm. Same character…different variation of the story, I guess. Idk how it works. And if this is so, then yes, Real Hook is frolicking with Emma while her son is apparently in danger. Alt!Hook is the Hook we are dealing with here. And yes, I’m calling him Alt!Hook from now on 🙂

And a weak attempt at trying to make Hook heroic for not even doing anything (why not just have Hook actually go do the things himself?)
If Hook turns out to be some kind of clone or whatever, I think that’s just weak. I’d have much rather a new actor playing a new alternate version of Hook just as they have new actors and actresses playing new versions of other characters. The only way that would have worked for me is if they had the other actors playing the alternate versions of themselves. But no.
If this is what is happening, then this is so weak. That would mean A&E are tryin to have their cake and eat it too (telling CS fans that Emma and Hook are off living HEA, but not wanting to turn them away from the show by not having the only one they care about: Hook. So they just keep dangling Colin in the show despite, once again, him not really having any reason to be here. Especially without Emma. So now, if its an “alternate Hook” but its really the same Hook with the added bonus of whatever happens to him wont mean anything to his relationship status.) This is dumb.
I’m all for a New!Hook but I feel this is just a cop out.

So uh, for all the photoshop experts out there, I think this fandom really needs an edit of Charming, Emma, and Henry all wearing their variations of this FTL outfit. Remember when Emma wore the purple one?! Gah, I love it!

It’s not a good narrative point. It makes both Emma and Hook look like cowards and frankly too wrapped up in their own personally happily ever after to care about Henry and what he’s going through. So..what? Emma and Hook pop over to New!EF see that Henry is in trouble (as is his wife and presumably daughter) and while Regina and maybe Rumple choose to help Henry even if it means another curse and being separated from SB, loved ones, ect, Emma and Hook just offer a clone of his stepfather instead of helping out by going themselves??
Honestly, I could very well believe that’s something Hook And Emma would do given how they’ve been written for awhile.
