I think he’ll be more important. If blacktooth isn’t his father than I guess he was just being used as a catalyst to get Dark Swan to use her magic to save robin. A human plot device.

I faintly recall us questioning whether or not he was when Pan was defeated. I think we wondered if his shadow was returned like it was with Blue since she didn’t die.
Did A&E ever clarify that? If so, it’s more likely we’d see Tamara in the underworld since she’s definitely dead. Unless her last few moments count as redemption before Gold crushed her heart…. She was genuinely sorry afterall…

Blacktooth probably is haunting her for some reason.
Given that Sir Kay knew a little magic himself, I am guessing Blacktooth is not your normal peasant.

Thanks WR :3 It’s sad that this is how I spend my Thursday nights lol on the picture of him holding the woman, I noticed it looked kinda like Lana from comic con that one year where she wore an Ursula-esque outfit. But yeah… I laughed really hard at my own stupidity xD

Based on what he said about love being a great help. Once he got his powers she was probably the only thing keeping him grounded…but being immortal he knew he’d eventually lose her, so I think they came up with the idea to try and make her immortal, mumbo jumbo happened, the dark one was born.
Now this gets complicated because according to Rumpel, he could keep Belle alive and young forever. But he told Smee that “only the dark one has life eternal”. So…idk. But just throwing it out there as usual."I could have the giant duck as my steed!" --Daniel Radcliffe

Hook dies. Emma trades her soul to Hades for him. Why? Because this is what occurred for Megara in the Disney version, when her boyfriend died. She traded her soul for him to live again and he “ran off with some babe and hurt her real bad” as said by Hades. This could be where we are headed…. They travel to the underworld to get him back but must make a swap and Emma decides to take his place.
