It was just… Random.. Literally, one minute he is standing up laughing about how his grandfather was evil Peter pan and the next he’s on the ground writhing in pain. Like really? Couldn’t his death have been more heroic? More thought out? He already was barely in this half of the season as it is and when he finally comes back, they just kill him like that? Me no likey at all.
Neal was a driving force in the show. Seriously, it was Rumpels love for him that wad the catalyst for ALL this to happen. His death should have been a NUCLEAR BOMB to the show. But no. “Lets just fall out in the woods lulz” says ABC. I’m not going to say that I am done with the show, I love it too much for that too happen BUT I have lost a bit of respect for it. Once can do better than what it did last night. I am a very dissappointed witch.
*WARNING!!! I AM NOW PUTTING ON MY SHIPPER GOGGLES* Look, I ship SF, we know this. And I get there is a whole love triangle thing ABC wants to mill for all its worth, but I swear in the name of The Darkest Dark One! If Emma ends up with Hook, as in falls into his arms because she is distraught over the death of Neal and needs a shoulder to cry on, then I will flip every table in the offices of ABC and any other network associated with it… That is NOT how we do things! I would rather have had Neal and Hook fight to the death than have her choose Hook this way (assuming she does). Quite frankly, if Hook tries to po k up the rebound after this, I will be upset and will never support the relationship even if A&E try to feed me some “We always intended Enma to pick Hook” BULLCRAP!!!

If Neal’s death was a misdirection and the true permanent death happens later on, I would like to see this theory play out

Lumiere said he made deal with Rump and didnt hold up his end of the bargain. So being a candle person was his punishment. If this is true, and he was the wizard, it totes explains why Zelena knows Lumiere.

It makes sense that Rumpel wasn’t dead when you think about it… He did say he was Eternal when he spoke to Smee that tine. So perhaps even after death and passing their powers a dark one can still be summoned..
