Ok…have to rethink my logic here and bet 2kfl 138 is a reference to Peter Pan…
I agree. One interpretation of 2KFL 138 as a vanity plate is “took flight”
Good thinking! There have also been theories that he could be the Wizard of Oz, who is another character who “took flight”. I’m more inclined to the Peter theory though, (even though part of me would still love Bae to be Peter).
After reading this, my first thought was, “It’s a shame that last digit is an 8 because the MGM movie The Wizard of Oz was released in 1939.” Then I remembered (and confirmed on Wikipedia) that MGM bought the rights to the story and began production in January of 1938 – “Took flight in 1-’38” : 2KFL 138

Even Rumple with his cane defeated him easily. It’s almost as if he wanted to die/lose. He said himself – ‘take my heart so I can be reunited with Milah’ – so he suggested the exact type of death he wanted to face and Rumple followed. Where am I going with that? Well, Belle also said ‘your heart is rotten’ to which he replied ‘you have no idea’. Maybe, apart from sarcasm, there is more to it? He’s obviously still aching from Milah’s death as we even saw in the final scene so either he wants to die because the pain is unbearable but something is stopping him from killing himself or maybe he found a way to kill Rumple by luring him into ripping his heart out – perhaps some sort of spell that would kill both of them once Rumple is crushing his heart? That’s why his heart could be rotten, from the spell? As a result, probably both of them would die, but what would Hook have once Rumple’s dead? He’s vengeance would have been accomplished but the pain would still be there. Instead, he could ‘reunite’ with Milah?
I had the same reaction. It made me think of Hook’s scenes with Cora back in the Enchanted forest when she met him as he came down the beanstalk and after he released Aurora. In both cases, he essentially said, “Go ahead and take my heart.” Either he wants to die or he’s managed to do something magical to his heart.
timespacerParticipantI’m shocked that they found Archie so soon. I thought we would get two or three episodes of Cora manipulating Regina as Regina tried more and more desperately to resist the temptation to return to evil since she had lost everything. Instead, Emma and Henry now know she is innocent of Archie’s murder and Emma is probably going to feel a little guilty that she doubted Regina (or Regina will be sure to make her feel guilty.) This could make Emma more likely to let Regina have some time with Henry, which could only serve to help strengthen Regina’s resolve to reform and help her resist Cora’s schemes.
So, it seems the writers have squandered an opportunity for an extended dramatic story for Regina by foiling Cora’s plan so early. Knowing these writers however, I suspect Cora is going to cook up an unexpected new plan that will come at Regina from a different direction. I can’t wait to see what it is!
timespacerParticipantI saw it too and curiously enough, on one other web site which runs the same forum software, but nowhere else.

We always knew from “Skin Deep” that she “wanted to be brave” and now we get to see her as an intellectual heroine. I love the fact that she used her books to achieve her goals in both Storybrooke and Fairy Tale Land. And we saw that her continued faith in Rumple is not a weakness – she really sees something deep in his heart that tells her there is still good in him. I think her ability to convince him not to kill Hook aboard the ship, despite Hook’s provocation, is proof of this.
Least Favorite: Emma and Henry’s reaction to Archie’s return. While I could understand them both being shocked and speechless at first, as several people have pointed out , they seemed to just shift into conversation much too easily (probably because the episode was running long.) Emma should have shown a lot more surprise that Cora is in town. And while I would expect Henry to be somewhat of two minds on the subject of Regina’s guilt (because he doesn’t want to believe it but the evidence appeared conclusive and she has lied to him a lot in the past) they shouldn’t show that by having him switch from “We have to protect ourselves from Regina” to “I knew she didn’t do it!” in a span of a few seconds. The scene would have made more sense if he had just said something like “I don’t want to believe it but I have to.” It was interesting that I think this was the first time he has ever referred to Regina by name, instead of calling her “Mom”. But I must admit I liked the drawings for the plans to transform Mary Margaret’s room into an armory – such an authentic eleven-year-old thing to do.
Most Surprised Moment: This doesn’t fit either category above, so I’ll post the detailed discussion in a different thread, but I have to say I did NOT expect them to rescue Archie so soon. I figured he’d be presumed dead for at least a couple of more episodes.

(Speaking of ratings, this is totally off topic… but how on earth do ratings work? I heard Once got 9 million viewers on Sunday… I assume that is ONLY Americans… and ONLY during EST? And what does the 2.6 or 3.0 or whatever score mean… does anyone know?)
There was a discussion of ratings a few months ago. I found it here:

But I suspect it may have been some anonymous person. Still, if someone is reported missing, it could be a clue that helps them figure out what really happened .

I thought the photography of her watching them in the rear-view mirror was very well done; once again the Evil Queen watches everyone through a mirror! And Lana’s performance in that scene was wonderful. She conveyed so much emotion without a word. No matter how evil Regina has been, it’s hard to watch her in that scene and not feel some sympathy when you know her heart is breaking.
The good parts impressed me so much that they overwhelmed my impressions of the weak parts. So, I can’t really think of a least favorite moment right now. I’ll have to rewatch it and see if I notice any.
timespacerParticipantAhhh, now I see – the buttons for voting didn’t appear until I clicked “Submit”. Sorry to take up bandwidth with my ignorance.
timespacerParticipantHow does one vote on this? There is no place to click on the list. Am I missing some JavaScript or do you simply read the posts and update the tally by hand?
I had a hard time deciding between three consecutive episodes: “We Are Both”, “Lady of the Lake”, and “The Crocodile” because all three gave us strong character development; first for Regina, then Snow and Emma, then Rumplestiltskin. I guess I would vote for “We Are Both” because it was such a huge change for Regina and Lana’s performance was outstanding.
