ParticipantI THINK it is Pinocchio ….he was about 7 years old and Gippito made the cabinet. Supposedly it could only transport one person… I was thinking it was a weight issue …. only so much weight / volume could be transferred. TWO kids still were smaller than one adult. Gippito sent Pinocchio through to save him. SNOW would have been smaller in weight and volume then a man so she would have been saved. But since EMMA was born they sent her through not realizing mom and baby could have gone through together but thinking one being instead of weight and volume.
That would explain why a 7 year old boy was at the side of the road and found a baby. Pinocchio and Emma both landed in the same spot, they both went into the foster system. Pinocchio grows up and seeks out Emma.
Pinocchio is the STRANGER ….
of course this is all based on logic and this show is not logical…..

ParticipantThe main reason I ruled out future-Henry is because I definitely think he’s the boy who found Emma. If that boy was only seven years old, it’s already too late for that to be Henry.

ParticipantAnd limitations are important when having magic in a show. And they said that the wardrobe could only be used once and i think i am going to believe that. They are already having some wonky things going on with the magic mirror and how that works.

Also in the newspaper article it would have said baby and seven year old boy found on side of road without parents, but it didn’t say that it said baby found by a seven year old local boy so people knew the seven year old.
I’ve thought that same thing!
We’ve already seen the writers remind us of the limitations of magic several times. So I doubt they would break this rule.

ParticipantMary “I have a kid. You’d think i’d remember that.”
Emma “Yeah, you’d think.”

ParticipantTHIS IS MY THEORY:
I am not sure but I thought that RUMPLE was the beast after he became the dark one, but before Snow and James marry and have Emma.
In his first story he is a serf who is subjucated to the Duke, he had no power. After he kills the dark one he takes the duke’s money and power; RUMPLE goes off to live in a castle on his own and that is where Belle finds him. Their story plays out but RUMPLE looses Belle. … then he goes on bitter about love and he goes on to other bargains… Cinderella and Snow’s stories.

ParticipantI don’t like the idea that the tree could be used twice. First because if they could have all just popped through it to the real world and been together well that would have been nice. And second if Geppetto somehow put Pinocchio into the cabinet ahead of Emma, and it would have had to been ahead, and taken the chance that it would not have worked for Emma who is supposed to come back and save the world, that just wouldn’t make Geppetto a very nice guy in my mind.
Also in the newspaper article it would have said baby and seven year old boy found on side of road without parents, but it didn’t say that it said baby found by a seven year old local boy so people knew the seven year old.

ParticipantBut he knew about Storybrooke. which before he showed up on his motorcycle, I thought Storybrooke was a mythical place and couldn’t be real because Henry brought Emma there, she wouldn’t have known to go there on her own.

ParticipantI think we can rule out future-Henry because he probably will be a love interest for Emma, and also, the actor who plays the stranger has bright blue eyes, and Henry has green eyes. The thing that makes the most sense to me is that he could be the boy who found Emma. I’m only thinking this because she was reading her file when he showed up. If he is the person who wrote the book, then he doesn’t have to necessarily be a Grimm brother. He could be someone else entirely, maybe not even from the fairy-tale universe.

ParticipantI think he is one of the Grimm Brothers. I don’t think he’s future Henry since the character is meant to be a love interest for Emma and this is a family show, so no incest.
But it would be interesting, since the Grimm Brothers are real world people, if the writers mixed it up and maybe made him a Grimm Brother and the Little Boy who found Emma.
