Participantthat just seems too easy to me. it doesnt address, for example, how long Ashley has been pregnant. if shes been pregnant for 10 years or 28 years or whatever, how has no one noticed? yeah they could be in a fog (though i might point out that they have NO indications of such when we first see them. they seem to behave very normally–and the mayor and sheriff we’re all in a tizzy with worry when Henry first showed back up in Storybrooke with Emma…they didnt seem to have been in a fog during the time he was gone, so they were therefore acutely aware of him being missing. if they were aware of that, youd think theyd be aware of a 10 or 28 year pregnancy happening in their town)–and if, as suggested, Henry is the only one who is aware, well then wouldnt HE have noticed more of these things and have brought them up to Emma immediately, to prove something fishy was happening?

ParticipantI think Rumpel is Evil.
We don’t really know the situation of the Ogre wars. It may have been die or fight for all we know. The guard that was collecting the children was not good, but i don’t think taking the children to fight is in and of itself evil. We just don’t know enough about the situation.
I would say that burning down the Duke’s house as a 5.
Killing the dark one as a 5 because he meant to kill him and was not tricked into killing him. He didn’t know that the consequences of killing him would be that he would become the new dark one, but he did mean to kill him.
Killing the guards a 5 because with the exception of the head guard, who seems like a nasty piece of work, we just don’t know enough about the situation that killing all of them seems like the right thing to do. And Rumpel could have ordered them away instead of killing them because he had the upper hand.I don’t think we know whether or not the Fairy Godmother is evil or not. Rumpel said she was evil. I am going to give that a 5 only because it seems unnecessary to kill her just to take the wand, but maybe not.
I think the reason why people think Rumpel is not evil is because it seems like he might be working to end the curse. The thing is that may be for his complete self interest. We just don’t know what game he is playing. He may want to die so that he is not the dark one. He may want to kill Regina. He may want to destroy the world. I just don’t think we know enough at this point.
I think even if he helps Emma end the curse the way he is going about it is evil so he is evil.

ParticipantRegina “There is something about him…something familiar.”
Emma “He must be one of the untold millions you cursed.”
Regina “What?”I laughed out loud. So funny because it is true. And the look on Regina’s face.

ParticipantThe only thing I can say about why Emma so readily agreed to help Sidney is that Emma was so blinded by getting back at Regina that she didn’t see through his lies. (But she wasn’t the only one fooled, everyone in on that counsel meeting immediately approved once Regina revealed that she was building a playground for the kids. What a wishy-washy bunch!)
You make a good point about the building of the playground. It makes no sense that it would be built that quickly and bypassing all safety procedures…Emma should have had her arrested for that. Not to mention at the beginning of the episode, Regina chastised her for allowing Henry to play at the playground castle while it was in disrepair because of the storm.
It is very curious that Regina would need that much land just to build a tiny playground out in the woods, of all places.

ParticipantHe could be a new character, like Emma. She’s not a part of Disney continuity.

Any mayor who spends $50,000 without prior approval of the town counsel would have been charged with malfeasance. Yet REGINA managed to spend the money, have the UGLY / dangerous playground built all without bids, safety evaluations, or any input from counsel or the community members.
Emma could have arrested her right then for MALFEASANCE…. but then this is not the real world either.
Regina needs to be arrested now for safety evaluations. It’s too pointy, making it pretty easy for a child to be skewered if they jumped off it the wrong way.
I agree, the counsel only went along with it because they were either scared or brain-washed into thinking, “Oh, Regina did a nice thing for the children for once. She’s not so evil after all!” 😆
