if we're doing to rhombus — that has four sides. so, who's the fourth person involved? I've seen posts on tumblr since we know Neal is Enchanted Forest, maybe he will have a flirtation or relationship with Mulan.
Perhaps Milah is the fourth person. Hook has spent the entirety of season 2 trying to avenge her, it wouldn’t seem right for him to suddenly forget her. Emma and Hook are still dealing with the ghosts of their past, I can see Hook feeling tremendous guilt that a) he has given up on his revenge of killing Rumple, and b) he is beginning to develop feelings for Emma. Whilst Hook has been flirting with every female, except Belle, that he has come across, he’s had no emotional involvement. With Emma, he has an emotional connection so he may feel that he is betraying Milah’s memory by falling in love with Emma.

Keeper of FelixMay 19, 2013 at 3:48 pm #195431obisgirlParticipantThat could be. Actually, that would make a lot sense. Hook can’t be with Emma until he lets go of Milah.

Is it weird that I have been thinking lately (well before finding that tweet), that Bae does look a little like Shang & their stories have similarities? – Rumple in the army/war out of honor (then Rumple deserts/ Shang’s father dies- but Rumple does go back & end the war), neither have the best relationship with their fathers & most importantly so far…..where IS Shang?!
I just saw the CS related tweet & posted it without thinking about WHO the 4th could actually be lol. It was enough just for Adam to say something other than “maybe” 😆 😉 & there is still the possibility the response was in jest 😉May 20, 2013 at 12:01 am #195475kfchimeraParticipantShang doesn’t have a lot in common with Bae. Other than dark hair and eyes, I guess, but Bae is not a soldier as Shang was. If they’re going for a mash up, I guess they could pull something with MAP having to fight the Ogres, and Mulan is the general, and Bae the recruit, but I’m pretty doubtful. I won’t say it couldn’t happen, but it doesn’t sound as nifty to me as getting a better understanding of the Milah situation/closure, or Hookriel (since that was around before the show, and the season started, since there’s the shared love of the sea for pirates & mermaids) or the snarkfest that could be seeing Regina on the prowl again like with Graham.

Okay, I think if Emma wore this and showed it off to our sexy Captain Hook, he would probably pounce on her and they would have mad sex all night. Like, Snow and Charming and everyone on the boat wouldn’t see Emma and Hook for days because they’re too busy doing it in his cabin.
BOW CHICKA BOW WOW. 😆 😆

Well actually I pointed out a couple of similarities ‘In the Story’ (If they are going by looks alone Rumple cant be Beast/Adam- It’s the stories they’ve merged NOT just the character looks- Beast wasn’t a scaly, green dude & Adam wasn’t a brown haired, brown eyed older gentleman for instance) & as I said it was only something that had popped into my head last week.
Personally I cant stand the thought of Hookriel at this stage, so I’d rather Neal take the place of Shang over that happening- no matter when the ship was thought up (until I see Ariel, I refuse to ship her with anyone, for all we know they could make her a ‘bad’ mermaid yet, it’s about the only ‘new’ twist they can take there). Not sure what will happen if they include Regina …. I just don’t see how they could chuck 2 ex-baddies together & have it work out for the better for anyone – it’s like having 2 addicts coupling up – it’s doubling up the temptation aspects & knocking back on strengths- unless they pair re-formed bad with good.May 20, 2013 at 2:03 am #195487surayyaParticipant@obisgirl wrote:

Yes they both have fathers, who fought in wars. They both had issues with their fathers. Then there are differences. Shang respected his father, and worried about living up to his expectations. Neal didn’t respect his father and was abandoned by him. Shang lived by the book, Neal probably stole the book. Shang was reserved with his emotions and Neal …let’s just say on this thread, gets called whiny. My point about Hookriel existing prior to the show and prior to Hook appearing in Once is to show that some fan thought of combining those two without the incentive of removing a character to promote a different ship. On the surface of it, which is the only way to judge a crack pairing because of course, no one has seen the interactions, Neal/Mulan really feels more like something to bolster CS than something anyone would be interested in seeing absent CS. This is the CS thread of course, so that’s a perfectly fine reason for you to say you’d prefer it--but we’ll have to agree to disagree about whether there’s any more appeal to the concept than clearing the deck for CS. Hook probably appreciates a cleared deck, but he can work with clutter as he’s a pirate after all. 😆

All the stories have similarities & differences- none are ever ‘by the book’ out right original versions, instead they’ve been twisted- sometimes drastically tbh. ie. Bad ass, bandit Snow Never existed, Evil Queen was jealous over Snow’s beauty NOT because Snow was manipulated by EQ’s psycho Granny into giving up her secret of the stable boy lover, Prince charming was NEVER a Shepard, Beast was NEVER an evil sorcerer, Crocodile was obsessed with Hook, Hook feared the crocodile- who wasn’t human, Peter Pan’s shadow wasn’t a creepy, glowing eyed, serial kidnapper, Cinder never watched her fairy godmother blow up at Rumpelstiltskin’s hand, Red Riding Hood was NEVER a warewolf, Jack wasn’t a girl – the list goes on & on 😉 😆
As for my thoughts on Neal/Mulan pairing- I don’t really have many tbh- as I said, I only just started thinking of the possibility of Neal taking the place of Shang (since he’s the closest fit, not to mention we still haven’t seen hide nor hair of Shang & honestly I’m over the whole MAP love triangle & we only had 1-2eps of it 😉 ) & it certainly didn’t have anything to do with “clearing the deck” as you put it. I personally don’t consider Neal a problem for CS happening tbh, as I don’t consider SF as canon anything nor endgame for that matter ( even if CS isn’t end game, I’d rather she ended up with someone else), so I honestly & truly don’t feel the ‘deck needs to be cleared’ in order for CS to happen- it’ll happen if & when it’s meant to 🙂
To clarify what I was thinking by not shipping characters until I see them (whether they’ve been shipped before appearing or not, it makes no difference to me), was I simply prefer not enter into the season & be ‘against’ or ‘for’ a ship until I’ve seen the pair interact 1st. I got shot in the foot shipping Sf this season- I now seriously dislike that ship, even if I can understand why others love it! So I’m in no hurry to repeat that mistake again 😆
I don’t have anything against H/A shippers (nor SF or SQ shippers either), I personally just don’t consider H/A in my own thoughts & feelings on CS atm, as Ariel herself doesn’t even exist on the show yet- if that makes sense.Neal & Killian aren’t going to be the only men who go after Emma according to A&E, so who knows who may pop up down the track- I don’t even think A&E have set it in stone yet 😉
